Yes each end of the base will have bolt holes under the fabric so you can choose - its helpful if you have storage drawers in the base and want to choose which side they open from
Hi All Divan beds will have Bolt holes for a headboard to be attached to. The struts typically come with the headboard along with the fixing fit so you will have everything you need to attach the headboard

Have you felt beneath the fabric? if its a divan base the holes will be there, try running your finger across the fabric until you locate them
