Bullshit. Opel Astra g. Is 1. faster than any Golf (without gti) 2. it Takes 10 L-100km. And do have a 1.6 16V 101HP Engine. Which need ~10s from 0-100. My car does and i mentioned That with gps tracker.
Opel Astra g 2.0 16V has 160hp and is 5x. As fast as an old people Golf IV. You Dont believe? Try it, or watch some ope Astra g acceleratiom Videos, and Compare them to Golf iv acceleratiom Videos. You will See the Astra is mich faster. And thats it since the Astra g was Invented.

Well he was comparing the 2.0dti from the astra vs base 1.9 tdi from the golf there is no gasoline engine mentioned
there's a reason why the mk4 golf was sold much more and better than the astra. no way you just compared a dogwater box to the golf. astra is way inferior from any point of view, whether we're talking build quality, safety, performance or comfort.
