When I watched this movie for the first time, I had never seen Lee van Cleef before. However, having read the Lucky Luke comic "The Bounty Hunter" as a boy (many years earlier), I instantly recognized him in this scene. 😃
Years ago I was driving across the country and spent the night in Tucumcari. I could easily have kept driving, but I wanted to sleep in Tucumcari just because of this movie.
one of the greatest movies of all time. My goal is to go to one of these places they shot this masterpiece. Near Almeria place called Los Alberoques. I was already at "Sad Hill" and it was a fantastic experience.
Since 1969 i've tried to take my horse onto a train just to re- enact that scene. 18 times at the last count. Have you seen horse fares since ‘69? Thought not!
Seeing Cleef wearing all black and reading the bible, I wonder if this is where they later got inspiration for God's Gun (1976), another movie he starred in and which is very good. Ive watched it at least 4 times now.
Lee Van Cleef is very photogenic. So is Gian Maria Volonté. and is Clint East Wood. Among the three, I would vote for Gian Maria Volonte. But I am an Indian and I look like Gian Maria Volonte (My imaginary wife says "you wish".).
There is a vehicle driving from the right to the left visible through the window at 5:05 in the video. Pretty sure there were no vehicles invented yet back then.
Terrible dubbing. Except I never noticed until I'd seen the movie at least twice. I was so interested in the Van Cleef character that was the only thing I was focused on.
Careless of you old man , letting a stranger take your sisters watch or was it yours ? ( Being as there two of em at different sizes , at his & hers in a purple felt , silk lined heart shaped box ) & 99% of folk don't know that ;) )
Badass demeanor in his character and I absolutely admire the glare he makes in his scenes. Pure gold
Colonel Mortimer will always remain the iconic bounty hunter in western!
Quite a statement!
The dentist was better.

2:08 I love that "I did get off. Thanks." It just oozes Cool.
Lee Can Cleef was perfect for this part. Great movie. Great trilogy.
He's good in this
My favorite of the 3..loved seeing Van Cleef as a "good guy"
Better than Marvel Movies
Low bar
@@convergefan1568ANY movie made in the 50's---60's is Better then ANY MARVEL Movie.

Lee Van Cleef was a perfect actor!
Colonel Mortimer was a great character -- Lee Van Cleef nailed it.
Ahh yes...watching classics westerns with Dad on Sunday afternoons, good memories!
Lee van cleef fantastic actor and great voice
My favorite western actor.
Stops a train, shuts up a fanboi, and straightens out a bartender. All in a day’s work for Col. Douglas Mortimer.
Years ago I was driving across the country and spent the night in Tucumcari. I could easily have kept driving, but I wanted to sleep in Tucumcari just because of this movie.
That's so cool 😎
How many people and buildings are there now?
@@bluenetmarketing It's a very small town. About 5000 people. We stayed in a small Mom & Pop motel. Everyone was very friendly.
I drove all the way to El Paso for the very same reason...😂
@@paulryan147 And I bet the train stops in Tucumcari now lol.
I am not ready to hear any news about Clint Eastwood.
That will formally close an Iconic era we will never see.
I always wake up with a heavy heart .. atleast thinking about Clint once a day !!
That bar scene with Lee Van Cleef and Klause Kinski is priceless..check out Kinski's face expressions..brilliant
Who else can say so much with so few words? Epic badass.
Clarence LeRoy Van Cleef Jr What a Legend, and these last few weeks i have been watching so many of the films he has been in , He was an Awesome actor
Those were the actors who did not need any slow motion walking or bombastic score to make their badass entry. This is cool of an era gone by...
Don't make films this good anymore..my favourite of the trilogy.
It's a really underrated movie. I had to watch it several times before I caught everything.
one of the greatest movies of all time. My goal is to go to one of these places they shot this masterpiece. Near Almeria place called Los Alberoques. I was already at "Sad Hill" and it was a fantastic experience.
I drove through Tucumcari… i didnt stop though…
Angel Eyes could bore through steel with his gaze.
Lee Van Cleef, another good actor, has that demeanor for the western movies.
"At least been that way until now....."🤣
Van cleef was such a great villain I’m surprised he wasn’t more famous he was a good actor I think
In this one, he played the closest one to a hero in all of Leone's work.
OMG. Sergio Leone a genius.
Since 1969 i've tried to take my horse onto a train just to re- enact that scene. 18 times at the last count. Have you seen horse fares since ‘69? Thought not!

All the conductor had to see when he got off the train with beautiful black horse with gun showing..... Oh my gosh 🤩🤩😊
LVC the ultimate Angel of death of all western movies. RIP!
Lee van Cleef, the Colonel of Cool. There's no denying that he took badassery to a whole new level in this role.
these are masterpiece of cinema history.
I am not able to say how many times I watched this movie.
Is that because you can't count past two?
You gotta be that tough and cool to eventually deal with Snake Pliskin.
I thought he was dead.
Best western actor. Lee van cleef .
Once I get to my destination I always say "This train will stop at Tucumcari."
No, you don't say "this train will stop"
It's "this train'll stop"

1:32 they were not able to find a single piece of wood for signboard 😂
beautiful horse
Excelent movie.
Naturally. Between brother and sister.
Leone was like the Stanley Kubrick of westerns.
Handy that the train stopped right where the horse ramp was.😂
One of the Best
Great stuff
Lee Van Cleef was born in Somerville NJ. I live in Raritan, NJ, basically across the street from Somerville.
"I did get off... Thanks"

love the gait of that European horse. never seen in the west. too much quality.
See what I said about beautiful black horse getting off train.
Yeah, but 99.9% of people watching wouldn't know that.
Lee van cleef had a cow boy type personality
There is a vehicle driving from the right to the left visible through the window at 5:05 in the video. Pretty sure there were no vehicles invented yet back then.
How did he get the train to stop so that the ramp is exactly at the boxcar with the horse?
Cuz he's a badass
And how did he walk from passenger to horse cabin..
Perfect timing ⏱
It's a movie.
it is a cartoon@@grf15
A thousand dollars was a LOT of money.
One of these days I'm going to get a Meerschaum like Mortimer's
I'm not usually like this, but this bad guy I kind of like
He wasn't bud guy here

Yep. 0:32
Fabulous 🔫🔫
This train stops at Tucumcari😮
Timeless 🌟 🌠 🌄 ⏳ filmmaking 😅😅
But how did he know the train would stop at Twocumcharlie? That was never explained.
It's spelled Tucumcari (New Mexico).
Because he knew he could pull the emergency stop and they’d stop the train.
Maybe my humor is just too offbeat or something.
@@Camcolito no, it's non-existent.
stillthe best way to leave a train if you have your horse with you
Why not upload these videos at least in 2k or 1440p, MGM ? For a few megabytes more.
Who is the bigger badass - Clint Eastwood or Lee van Cleef? I think it is a tie.
My dad called him Lee Van Teeth lol XX
Why
New Mexico!
that staircase. wow
Itl stop.!!! Classic
I DONT UNDERSTANT ..how come these movies, contents & channel dont go to MGM+ SUCH AS I subscribed already , why is 2 channels
You are right. The quality, unique and excitement of such westerns lasts for ever and ,,,,,
the telegraph guy's topless visor seems so out of place for a western.
1:21 Did someone steal the coaches? 🚂🚃?🚃?🚃?🚃? 😁
There's a joke in that town's name somewhere . . .
I did get off. Thanks.
Hi MGM
Well, maybe he has SOME idea.😃
