2:15. Brian was on a different level. Seated cross legged, all in white, gold hair, rockin the sitar and staring right through you. Earth was just part of his tour of the universe, which is why he wasn’t here that long. RIP

    [Instrumental Intro]
    [Verse 1]
I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colours anymore, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
    [Verse 2]
I see a line of cars and they're all painted black
With flowers and my love, both never to come back
I see people turn their heads and quickly look away
Like a newborn baby, it just happens every day
    [Verse 3]
I look inside myself and see my heart is black
I see my red door, I must have it painted black
Maybe then I'll fade away and not have to face the facts
It's not easy facing up when your whole world is black
    [Verse 4]
No more will my green sea go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing happening to you
If I look hard enough into the setting sun
My love will laugh with me before the morning comes
    [Verse 5]
I see a red door and I want it painted black
No colours anymore, I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head until my darkness goes
    [Outro]
I wanna see it painted, painted black
Black as night, black as coal
I wanna see the sun blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted
    Painted black, yeah

For 1966 they were way ahead of their time in Rock & Roll. You can hear it in the. entire song. The sound, the melody, the the rhythms the guitaring and the lyrics. I love the Indian Sitar Guitar sound and sitting down on the floor playing the guitar is so cool and (Mod). George Harrison would have sat down with you and played too if he was there for sure! Very British. The girls screamed just like they screamed for the Beatles. Your Band is very cool and always has been. I've always loved the Rolling Stones. Sorry you lost your classic Drummer.

Even before getting interested in the stones when I would see this young blonde man with the cool bowl haircut standing out in all white sitting there playing this weird sitar instrument I couldn't help but be captured by him. How well he matches with the purple and black background it's just amazing. He takes the shine off of the amazing Mick Jagger ,who I only knew, just by sitting cross legged and playing the most vital instrument in the song and moving to the music.
I would always question myself why he wasnt in other Rolling Stones from the later years say 70s 80s and their newer tours. He was there and then he was gone.
Now I know who he was, he was Brian Jones founder of the Rolling Stones and my favorite stone.

"Keith still has a great deal of respect for Brian. 'Brian was one of those guys who could walk into the studio and pick up an instrument he had never played before, like the marimbas in Under My Thumb or the star in Paint It Black. He’s remembered every time we play. Time Is On My Side….the whole basic idea of the sound of the Stones. That’s why were still talking about him. Dead but not forgotten'." (Relix magazine, 1993)

    I see a red door
And I want it painted black
    No colors anymore
I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by
    Dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head
    Until my darkness goes
I see a line of cars
    And they're all painted black
    With flowers and my love
    Both never to come back
I've seen people turn their heads
    And quickly look away
    Like a newborn baby
    It just happens everyday
    I look inside myself
And see my heart is black
    I see my red door
I must have it painted black
    Maybe then, I'll fade away
And not have to face the facts
    It's not easy facing up
When your whole world is black
No more will my green sea
    Go turn a deeper blue
I could not foresee this thing
    Happening to you
    If I look hard enough
    Into the setting sun
My love will laugh with me
    Before the morning comes
    I see a red door
And I want it painted black
    No colors anymore
I want them to turn black
I see the girls walk by
    Dressed in their summer clothes
I have to turn my head
    Until my darkness goes
    I wanna see it painted
    Painted black
    Black as night
    Black as coal
    I wanna see the sun
    Blotted out from the sky
I wanna see it painted, painted, painted
    Painted black, yeah
