This, however, goes too far for me and I will quite happily destroy the box and figure to SAVE Optimus/Convoy from this abomination. I'm sorry if you think that's a bad thing to do, but I promise there are plenty more of these out in the wild and I won't harm any more. That said, you are also free to have your own opinions and I'm okay with that, too!
This figure just proves that Japan shouldn't own full control over american brands. They got lots of gooners doing the work but in terms of repaints, they do great.

Regardless, this Convoy is a great toy. Marissa isn't half bad when you look at her thru a clinical lens. The pairing is still icky, tho, and I can't unsee it. So if I wind up with one of these, I'm putting Convoy on display and hiding Marissa in a storage drawer. I have young nephews and nieces, and I don't have the spoons to try to explain what Kissplayers is to them. I hope they never find out.
The box had to face the wall for the few weeks it sat there until I made the video. Making the video felt risky because of the community response to these, but I’m glad I did. It might have been a clumsy take and fair enough. But love the truck and on to the next! 😎

Honestly it's shame that this is one of the few toy lines in Transformers that came in with a music cd. I would love it if some characters had their own themed cd in a box with them especially if it was Soundwave, Jazz and Blaster.
The clear discomfort shown in the video is magical. Like it captures the feelings of discomfort, shame, embarrassment and rage especially when you destroyed the cd. If there is one thing this fandom can agree on it’s that kiss players is the worst.
My brother really likes Transformers. I hope he never, ever finds out about Kiss Players. I don't know how I'd calm him down if he saw this monstrosity.

Kissplayers is unironically in my top 5 favorite series. It's about a group of girls who form an idol group and travel on a time traveling Fort Max to the greatest hits moments of G1. They sing songs and dance, bringing joy and love to Transformers. It's like a cross between Farscape and Macross and Idol Master. It has this beautiful astatic, all pinks and whites, and is a really fun series. If you get over the "Oh gross, that's so weird!" reaction and dive deep into the story, it's really fun.
I respect that you like the story and that’s fine but it’s a bit more than just “weird”, isn’t it? I’m a huge fan of weird. I’ve seen some of the manga. This is different.
After reading bits off the TFWiki, I still remember how the first series' main antagonist's main goal was to avenge her dead daughter (no thanks to Rodimus and his penchant for throwing Galvatron into space and accidentally into Tokyo. Does Rod _ever_ remember Newton's First Law or the principle of collateral damage?). To that end, she ended up committing some _real_ *nasty* atrocities, stuff that makes you understand why the ghost of her dead daughter turned against her, even if she still wanted to see her mother again. It's like she was an anime mom version of AoE's Attinger and Savoy, villains who run organizations hellbent on making Cybertronians suffer for their crimes against Earth and humanity, as well as Earthspark's GHOST. If it hadn't been for Kiss Player's infamy, and if she'd been in a more mainstream title (with some revisions here and there to really draw out the pathos), she might've easily gone down as one of Transformers' most complex iconic _human_ villains. ...though l think she went _way_ too far in her anti-Cybertronian beliefs _and_ those kids she used cruelly for her plans. It's like she read Gendo's new evangelical guide to treating people and parenting...

I thought this was one of the Anime Girls who could transform into vehicles. I had to do a double take. For more context there is an anime where the girls can transform into vehicles and there is a scene that became a meme for how unexpected it was of one of the characters drinking petrol before transforming into a car.
Well, everyone else's KISS Playerr Melissa is noe a little more valuable, I guess. It still feels like I just watched a video of some ancient staute getting dynamited because it depicts a god the current day locals dislike, or something.
toys are okay, just pretend that it's alternators/binaltech. And, kiss players hot rodimus is actually better that alternators hot rod, not only because of paint job, but also because of fishing rod accessory, which can be triple blaster for hot rod, or missile launcher for Mirage(same mold after all). Wow, from your review I noticed that for convoy they didn't painted trunk, it's red, not black like on Optimus. You don't need to destroy him. If you want, you can make him Trailbreaker, as this mold was intended to be, before he was Swindled.
My biggest issue is his bumper wouldn’t go back on correctly. Going to take some tools to get it sorted but then will probably leave him in truck mode which does look pretty good!
The Melissa action figure with Info Card and CD and in the box sealed with everything is worth about a million dollars sealed and graded with a perfect grade!
Watching throughout the video i was laughing uncontrollably and was flabbergasted but enjoying it when you broke the disc and almost everything in the end, reasonable crash out, i enjoyed the video til the end 😂 Earned a sub
Like I get you being uncomfortable, but it's just a graphic and a toy, my guy. If she got ENTIRELY nude, I would definitely be more understanding. However, you essentially destroyed the value of what had to be an extremely rare toy because of your ugabuga western hang-ups. I shutter to think what kind of money you could have made from someone who would have put that in their collection. While I found "Kiss Players" pretty heavy when I read the cursed thing, you're actually disrespecting collectors from all around the world. Child, bud. Yeah, the Kiss Players is basically...uhm...Transformers but with...Hentai elements put into it. I think we can all agree to view it as non-existent to the franchise. Coz if you think Transformers: The Last Knight was bad (and believe me, I still don't like that movie) you've seen nothing yet. But if you want to know more information about Kiss Players, I suggest watching Chris Mcfeely's vid about it
Yes! McFeely did a really good job explaining the history. As he usually does! I mentioned him in the video but I think I had edited that out. Regardless, people should absolutely check it out at least to understand what it was. I mean it WAS Takara!
I guess it is at least some comfort that they aren't literally meant to be kids, but loli is really not much better than it actually being kids, since they are fictional anyway. Including human figures is a cool idea though, I'll give the line that much credit.

I enjoyed this video. Alot of fans, even the knes with a real problem eith the content would defend the you in the name of the fandom and collecting. You don't hide how awful it is but also acknowledge that preservation is important, if for no other reason than to have an example of what "too far" is. I agree completely, it's why preserving things like "Song of the South" is important despite the awful nature of it. Really enjoyed the video and you have s new sub because of it.
I really appreciate this. I felt even making this was a big risk due to the divisive nature of this line, but I also have done my best to respect those with a different opinion in the comments when they weren't just mean to be mean. Apparently Kiss Players is very important to the JP G1 lore, unfortunately, and it introduces Primus. I think the important stuff is in the later entries in the radio drama, which I heard is less perverted than the earlier stuff.
Megatron is dead in this series but his zombies, dear god. And don’t even get me started on the scene of starscream’s ghost possessing a girl while she’s on the toilet. Also, this is just the style of the artist.

Keep the Prime. I think that they will go up in value. I heard of people collecting the KOs of the figures because the originals are hard to find. Also, I have doubles of most the Alternators/Binaltech figures that I bought while i was stationed in Japan during the 2000's .
He’s def a good looking truck. I already had an issue converting him back to the truck and can’t get the bumper back on. Gonna take a bit of work. But if I keep him l I’ll just leave him in truck mode for sure.
Well, it's cool that Convoy has a realistic interior, at least. You don't see that often, or at least i haven't. Not a fan of how lewd gorls end up in japan, but there's not much you can do about that.
It’s a shame that the actual convoy figure is associated with the rest of. That. Because it’s actually a nice figure, and I personally like the robot form. But the rest of it ruins it entirely lol. What a mess.
I can only speak for myself but I quite enjoy a lot of anime and have spent a fair amount of time in Tokyo browsing the manga shelves between floors of retro video games. This is having a bit of fun with the TF fandom reaction to kiss players but also I do think it’s just drawn as a child in this one instance. This is a singular reaction and not meant to reflect on any wider art form.

As a Transformer fan who was collecting in the 2000s this line has been a bit of dirty joke in the fandom. The history of it is interesting, basicly its just that the binaltech cars were not selling so Takara got desperate. At least this line created the very cool Autotrooper police. Which has Animated, legacy and kreo versions.

Actual facts. I was just looking at some of my Binal-Tech/Alternators and they were such amazing toys. But the KISS stuff is so distasteful its actually unbelievable... and reading the manga or learning more doesn't make it any more believable, it just makes you wish you never learned about it tin the first place. There are a few times in life where this is true but if you find this appealing or titillating there is something veeeeeeEEEEEeeeeery wrong with you. Also Flashback Funhouse I appreciate the figures you have displayed in the background, it puts these current lines in perspective, at first I had no clue what all these figures had in common, several series and scales, but I realized "purchased in the last 18 months" is what it is.
Yeah the shelf above that one (off camera) is mostly Bayverse era and other 2010s figures (mostly my sons’ toys). You are correct. The visible shelf is the last two years mostly and otherwise somewhat intuitively grouped together. Below this one is all G1. This is all temporary until I have more space to create better displays.
My pinned comment says clearly I"m overreacting. I was in a good mood and having fun with it. However, the big deal is that an adult character is clearly drawn as a child. Can't defend that. Moving on to cooler bots! 😎

And, kiss players hot rodimus is actually better that alternators hot rod, not only because of paint job, but also because of fishing rod accessory, which can be triple blaster for hot rod, or missile launcher for Mirage(same mold after all).
Wow, from your review I noticed that for convoy they didn't painted trunk, it's red, not black like on Optimus.
You don't need to destroy him. If you want, you can make him Trailbreaker, as this mold was intended to be, before he was Swindled.
My biggest issue is his bumper wouldn’t go back on correctly. Going to take some tools to get it sorted but then will probably leave him in truck mode which does look pretty good!

Yeah, the Kiss Players is basically...uhm...Transformers but with...Hentai elements put into it. I think we can all agree to view it as non-existent to the franchise. Coz if you think Transformers: The Last Knight was bad (and believe me, I still don't like that movie) you've seen nothing yet. I enjoyed this video. Alot of fans, even the knes with a real problem eith the content would defend the you in the name of the fandom and collecting.
You don't hide how awful it is but also acknowledge that preservation is important, if for no other reason than to have an example of what "too far" is. I agree completely, it's why preserving things like "Song of the South" is important despite the awful nature of it.

Apparently Kiss Players is very important to the JP G1 lore, unfortunately, and it introduces Primus. I think the important stuff is in the later entries in the radio drama, which I heard is less perverted than the earlier stuff.

Keep the Prime. I think that they will go up in value. I heard of people collecting the KOs of the figures because the originals are hard to find. Also, I have doubles of most the Alternators/Binaltech figures that I bought while i was stationed in Japan during the 2000's .
He’s def a good looking truck. I already had an issue converting him back to the truck and can’t get the bumper back on. Gonna take a bit of work. But if I keep him l I’ll just leave him in truck mode for sure.

I can only speak for myself but I quite enjoy a lot of anime and have spent a fair amount of time in Tokyo browsing the manga shelves between floors of retro video games. This is having a bit of fun with the TF fandom reaction to kiss players but also I do think it’s just drawn as a child in this one instance. This is a singular reaction and not meant to reflect on any wider art form.

As a Transformer fan who was collecting in the 2000s this line has been a bit of dirty joke in the fandom. The history of it is interesting, basicly its just that the binaltech cars were not selling so Takara got desperate. At least this line created the very cool Autotrooper police. Which has Animated, legacy and kreo versions.

Actual facts. I was just looking at some of my Binal-Tech/Alternators and they were such amazing toys. But the KISS stuff is so distasteful its actually unbelievable... and reading the manga or learning more doesn't make it any more believable, it just makes you wish you never learned about it tin the first place. There are a few times in life where this is true but if you find this appealing or titillating there is something veeeeeeEEEEEeeeeery wrong with you.
Also Flashback Funhouse I appreciate the figures you have displayed in the background, it puts these current lines in perspective, at first I had no clue what all these figures had in common, several series and scales, but I realized "purchased in the last 18 months" is what it is.
Yeah the shelf above that one (off camera) is mostly Bayverse era and other 2010s figures (mostly my sons’ toys). You are correct. The visible shelf is the last two years mostly and otherwise somewhat intuitively grouped together. Below this one is all G1. This is all temporary until I have more space to create better displays.

The figure will live on my shelf as a truck. The bot mode isn't great. Everything else has been discarded. If other people dig that, totally cool. They can buy their own.
