I've been playing guitars for a lot of years 30+, and have seen thousands of guitars, but I've never seen that purple coloring. Was amazing. Love Flame Les Pauls, and I had a killer Spalted BC Rich Mockingbird. Makes them so beautiful.
Great video! Was wondering what you ended up using the boards for & how did the color do in the wood as time went on. I have cut a of a big limb from a box elder that retained the flaming color. I assume the whole tree will be colored, Just wanting some advice of what to do to help the wood keep its coloring and not fade before I cut the whole tree down. I have link to video of the big limb that I have cut if you would like to see. Thanks Jamie ua-cam.com/video/lCHBpZ0xmkk/v-deo.html
the colours in MM/box elder are beautiful, indeed; sadly, the brilliant red colours will NOT survive exposure to sunlight/uv rays, and will completely disappear in a relatively short time; the orange colours appear to be more resistant to this bleaching out.....
I have a tree which has the flaming red in it as well, do you know of any ides to help it keep its coloring? got link to video if you are interested to watch. Thanks Jamie

Jackson Marchall Kramer, love the name! :-) Yes, that log really impressed me. Thanks for watching, and keep on pickin'!
I would donate a kidney for one of those slabs, it could be the foundation of one of the most unique guitars
Nice log ! Thanks for showing it.
Thanks for watching!

Sorry for the late reply. I still have the boards drying. The main thing to retain the colour is to not expose them to any UV light.
