I don't believe these clothes are just lying here and it's like this daily..I think the context is he cleaned out all his closets and is attempting to organize it. Now, if he had collected all these items, and they are rotting on the floor, he's stepping on them bc he has no space or it was starting to cause harm to himself and others, then it would be a problem. At least he's being self aware and attempting to do something with it, whether it be sell it, or organize and store it.

Yes it’s hoarding especially because he leaves them clustered all over the place and doesn’t hire someone to organize them. Cluster and overcrowding are symptoms of hoarders. Hoarders need to feel and see that they have a lot of things that are easily accessible in proximity.

Someone needs to catalog his articles because he probably doesn't even know what he has. Make a spreadsheet of the article, designer, size, color and when it was worn last. There may be duplicates of the same thing because he can't remember what he purchased. I understand that each article has a story behind it. Turn one of those bedrooms into a closet and organize things. Why turn the entrance of a beautiful home into a catch all for whatever he decides to throw there? Then he will have an idea of what doesn't fit and what he hasn't worn for years and make better use of the article by selling it or giving it to someone who doesn't have a chance in hell of owning it. As it stands now it looks like a tornado swept through there.

You can go two weeks without doing laundry and change socks twice a day and still only use 28 pairs of socks. She’s hoarding socks. As for the yard sale… man, have an auction for charity and sign the stuff!

Donate what you don’t need. It’s going to be winter and there are homeless men who will die in the streets from lack of warm clothing. There are teens going to school that are teased daily from their lack of clothes. There are men hustling to put food on the table who work HARD and will never afford designer clothes.
Find them and give all this away. Why even think of selling it? I’m a hard working single mom and I never resell my clothes or kids clothes. I’ve always been taught to give away what you don’t use.
