- Today I take a walking tour a stones throw away from my own home! Abbey Road in St Johns Wood is the most famous recording studio in the world, and is of course famous for The Beatles album Abbey Road. Come and join me on this little tour of the outside area and hear a few facts along the way.
Thanks for watching, let me know you enjoyed it with subscribing and also give it a thumbs up 👍🏻

I was there in 1984 when there was no graffiti. BTW, Abbey Road isn't just the cover of the album. It's where the Beatles recorded every one of their albums with only a few songs recorded elsewhere, notably All You Need is Love and Baby, You're a Rich Man at Olympic Sound Studios, Fixing a Hole at Regent Studios, Your Mother Should Know at Chappell Recording Studios, It's All Too Much at De Lane Lea Recording Studios, Hey Jude, Dear Prudence, Holy Pie, Savoy Truffle, Martha My Dear, I Want You (She's So Heavy) at Trident Studios.
My wife and I went to this area today. We ate at Panzers as referred by Hannah in another video. We had a nice lasagna and salad. Great neighborhood and the beautiful Regents Park was just around the corner. Thank you Hannah for all of the advice and tips about London. We’re going to see a show in the West End tonight and we’re going to a restaurant in that area that Hannah recommended. We love London!!!
Interesting in 1937 the coronation of king George VI was recorded then 2010 "The King's Speech" score about that coronation was recorded there. Awesome
Thanks for posting this, I was just in London right before the lockdown started! I was visiting from Michigan, USA. I took the Tube to St. John's Wood, just as you did, and I made sure to walk the Abbey Road crossing and visit the little shop! This video made it feel like I'm there again : ) I bought the "I walked the crossing and then I drank some tea" mug but am regretting not getting the "I am the Eggman" egg cups!
Maybe you can get it online?!
Hello Hannah, I recorded in Studio 2 in the Summer of 2008. My Texas band was there July 2,3, & 4(yes July 4th!) 12 hours a day. The Lp is titled "From Austin to Abbey Road" and our band name is "Scurvy Otto & The Rickets", different from your name spelling of course. We arrived a couple days after Brian Wilson and his crew were there and they took most of the different styles of artist only t-shirts given to paying customers. And the LSO was in Studio 1 recoding the soundtrack for Harry Potter. This shop was not there in '08, that building was apartments then. And people were actually walking into the car park to take pictures on the steps while I was trying to smoke my cigarettes. And the garden is in the back where the wooden side door is. And the in house restaurant we ate and drank from. And while no one was looking one night we went on the roof! Cheers-
Delicious as always thank you for showing us Abbey Road
Hi Hannah, I should have known you earlier, I could have gone to the Abbey Shop. The only shop we went is the St Johns Wood Station little Beatles shop🤭o well... thanks for the blog. Loved your glasses.
awesome!!! Hannah............get to see Abbey Road from far away
This was wonderful. I hope to visit this place one day but the tour you gave felt like I was there! I am a 60s kid and this brought tears to my eyes. So iconic. I adore your video tours! Thank you.
Abbey Road, Despite being not the final album the Beatles released was essentially their final Recorded Album. Them Leaving Abbey Road is symbolic that their journey as The Beatles is finally over.
I love your walkabouts. Soothes the travelbugs in my tummy. 😄
I'm so glad!
Great clip and subject, including the streets and St John's Wood Station, kind regards from Australia.
Glad you enjoyed it
Absolutely loved the video! when I was there they didn't have the shop and the guard at the studio told me that they didn't have any tours at the time. they didn't have that much graffiti. Can't believe how much history is in that studio, I will go back someday, I got souvenirs from the Beatles little shop in Liverpool and I actually saw their first manager Alan Wiliams and didn't know who he was at the time lol.
I am having the best London vacation from my living room lol. The Abby recording studio ship has some cool t-shirts
Aw I'm glad! That was my intention, maybe some can have a pretend vacation for 15 mins each vlog
Now it's a lovely afternoon always nice 2 see U an what you have 2 share :)
You got me here with the Abbey Road blog Hannah, I'm enjoying some of your others around London as well (Tea's, Narrowboats, Harod's, etc,) Cheers From NY
Hello Hannah 😊 First of all, I would like to thank you for a very thorough and professional presentation of that part of London. I've been a fan of Beatles music for over 20 years but unfortunately I didn't manage to come to London expecialy for crossing that famous pedestrian 🙂 I hope that someday I will notably because of the significance which Beatle music has had in my life. Greetings from Montenegro 👋
The crosswalk the studio the musical instruments in the studio all must sees I am in awe
Howdy Hannah !! .... what a swell tour !!!! . My family and i visited England 👀❤ in July 1989 , of course we saw the studio ( outside only ) and the Zebra crossing plus went up to Liverpool ! 👀❤. So Long from Toronto Canada - 9/15/2023 🤠
I've been loving all these tour vlogs!
Yay, Hannah’s back! Very exciting to see the latest in the series!
Really enjoyed this! Thank you!
The BEST video! Thank you!
Loved This..Many Thanks 🙏🏻✌🏻❤
Oh man look it it, there's nobody there! I've been there twice and both times the place was packed! It's hard to get that perfect Beatles shot
Thank you for posting this video. You just rejuvenated my energy. Gotta go to work. 😘😘😘
Great video!!!! Thank you!!!
100% the crossing is in the same place , two small metal covers in the original photo are in the same place today. The “ moved “ rumour was started by residents sick of crowds of fans constantly outside their homes.
Just watched this, love it! Have a few photos of me 'crossing over'! Never heard of those toys....ahhh, nice to see The Beatles Shop is still there!! Thank you so much, Hannah!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thanks for your video!
Great video tours of London ! ... You’re making me want to visit !
Maybe one day!
Thanks for the tour of Abbey Road and the shop! I love the Beatles ! I have all the albums they recorded( and yes I said albums) that are available in the US. Thanks for the great info.
Thanks for watching along!
Thanks for the great video. I visited in 2017 and 2019 and the crossing was crowded on each occasion. There's a real vibe being close to those historic studios.
Thanks for watching!
wonderful video!
've been loving all these tour vlogs!
Glad you like them!
These videos are a lot of fun to watch. Keep up the good work! :)
Glad you like them!
I saw the Jamiroquai live session at Abbey Road studios. I love their music.
Hi Hanna! Great Video!
New subscriber here. Visited Abby Road and area in 2019. Discovered a cosy pub named the Duke of York where I had my first Bison burger. Great memories from a Canadian girl.
Oh my goodness! I literally stumbled across your Vlog last night and have spent the majority of my day watching your Christmas Vlogmas posts! I am a huge Anglophile and your videos are super fun! It’s like watching a friend video chat or something! ☺️☺️
Thanks so much! Glad you've enjoyed them x
Thanks Hannah for showing Abbey Road Studios my favourite band Europe (Final Countdown) recorded their 11th album Album Walk The Earth there so interesting history✌
Like so many I enjoy the Beatles songs but if I worked in the shop and had to listen to their songs hour after hour on every shift I might grow to hate them .Thank you for the download Hannah
I think any music too often is a bit like that!
I'd imagine the workers in the cavern club have the same problem.
Great stuff! They used to have special events at Abbey Road which were interesting - I went on one to celebrate the anniversary of recording the Raiders of the Lost Ark soundtrack and they let you walk around the studios and the had a special screening of the film in the studio the music was recorded. A real goosebump moment! They let you know via email on their web site so may be worth checking if it’s still something they might do when things return to normal. Unbelievable how quiet it is! If you fancy a Beatles fix after the visit checkout the last Richard Curtis romcom called Yesterday which was all about the Beatles music. A good feel good movie if you’re in the mood for one.
A friend and I were there in September 1980. Honestly don't remember the iron fence. In fact, I walked right up to the front door, kneeled down and looked through the mail drop. All I recall seeing was a long corridor. Suddenly someone opened the door and asked what I wanted. I should have offered a few quid for a tour. Just didn't think quickly enough.
What an amazing person and girl you are
HELLO HANNAH HERE FROM BRASIL 😎🇧🇷🙏
I love your videos.
I would like you show your beautiful Dress !! great video !!
Each one of these London vlogs gets better and better! So much fun. I continue to love the maps and the information plaques. The Tube stop advice is wonderful! I’m curious about the term Oyster card. I know what one is but what is the origin of the name? Just curious.
Glad you like them! I think oyster is something to do with it being a safe/ hard shell protecting something valuable like a pearl/ money to travel with..
Most excellent video 🇬🇧💯🇬🇧💯 with Oyster card do you tap twice? Beginning and at end ?
YOU ARE A CAPA,,,, THE BEST
Guess who's back...back again...Hannah's back...tell a friend
Take a tour towards tube stations inside
I went on a tour their in 1983
It is said Paul McCartney has the piano and other instruments from Abby road.
Your videos are a refreshing change from my Disney vloggers who have to wear the creepy masks. Thanks for all of your interesting tours.
haha yes some have been hard to watch in those awful character masks!
17:27 to step away from another human is that social distance? Like McCartney step away from Lennon in the studio (imagine there’r no distance)
Wow that is a lot of Ip recorded there. Still haven’t seen Malificent.
The second one is rubbish.. the first one is nice
OmniCognate Snr haha I think the Craft is at the peak with games becoming larger productions then movies these places can be utilized for more then bands for sure.
OmniCognate Snr I mean the gaming market is HUGE! I am playing last of us two and it is epic. Feels like you are in the movie.
OmniCognate Snr I am a Disney fanatic. I have my channel(this is my personal) at doodsanddudes where I do technology and travel and Disney. Heading to the parks this weekend and will do some vlogs!
