Yes, the songs and the album were great. They don't make albums like these. Not just one hit song and then nothing. This album has all. AND my favourite is (even everybody thinks it's a lesser song) the opening song: Angels at my Gate. Cause I had a gambling problem at one time. In a way this song saved me. BUT don't let that fool you: This is one of the best MMEB albums... and this very song (you can't describe it), I feel blessed by the rain..

Another Favourite album of mine still got it mint condition many great tracks very uplifting and the great Chris Thomson vocals this is my favourite from the album

I stumbled on this album(cassette) in a discount rack around 1982 or so. All I really knew of Mannfred Mann was Blinded by The Light, but for a buck how could I go wrong? It is still one of my favorite albums of all time. A true sonic masterpiece.
At 63 and biased to my teenage years of the 70's, Khruangbin, Spacelords, Krautzone are all really good bands in the 2020's that carry the smooth and hard rock sounds.
