I was pretty interested with Isla before release, but I wasn't expecting to love her after the Rival Team story. Not only do we see why she has a grudge against Shun'ei, but we also see her apologize to the guy after the final battle. This girl went up in spades for me! I guess Isla and Shun'ei having a Hero and Heroine vibe was intentional. Expecting some interesting things in KOFXVI in 2026. Since this is more or less teasing that Isla, Shun'ei and Meitenkun are gonna be Teams in KOFXVI.
In the game Rival team is the most unexpected team and one of my favorite. Eegghh Otoma-Raga is a true monster and i can't say how many players raged against her. WAIT Dolores is kukri's mom ? I though she is her mistress 😂😨
I've seen Team Ash, Hero and now Rival's ending. So, what I understand is: Ash's erasure from time (or rather Saiki's) has caused a space-time distortion where the world entered an "incomplete state" that creatures and deities never meant to interact with our world other than Amplified Specters (Verse, Reverse, Otoma=Raga) are trying to destroy it to return it to its origins. I wonder if this is due to Saiki being one of Gaia's wills? Anyway. Given the fact that Amplified Specters come from the same dimension(?) as them, only Shun'ei and Isla were able to put a stop to them, hence why Dolores sought both out and planned for them to meet at the finals. There's only one thing I don't understand: co-annihilation. Otoma=Raga clearly is sealed into her void of nothingness once again, and the Specters sacrificed themselves to save their respective hosts. It's not mentioned in Shun's ending, only that he "mastered his power", but Isla actually got Amanda back. Does this mean that Specters can re-manifest, and Ash's time distortion has been ironed out (as seen in his team's ending?) and Verse, Reverse and Otoma=Raga will no longer interfere? Or does it mean that Otoma=Raga's seal won't last forever? I'm very curious to know.
I don’t know why, but Isla was actually a really delightful character. For some reason, I expected her to be yet another one of those types where if seems like she can’t go two sentences without using the word “Baka,” but her playstyle and personality won me over. And the hands are also great to for being like an extension of herself and also having a personality of their own too. Loved the ending too where the hands actually took the picture (with one of them posing for the camera). If we see a sequel, hopefully she will make a return (and I feel like if so, maybe she’ll team up with Shun'ei. It would be a long shot, but we definitely saw a shakeup in teams for this one, so it would be possible).
I think you're right on the mark, actually. I can't see Isla fitting on any other team other than with Shun'ei and Meitenkun. I think they'd all mesh together really well and have a nice dynamic.

@@ni8anttana Oh no no no. Every KOF saga must have 3 games that connects to a saga. The Shun’ei Saga only has 2 KOF games out of 3. This story is far from over, there’s still a lot more to be revealed before they end the Shun’ei Saga in the next KOF game, that includes the appearance of Anastasia.
Ah, so she only lashed out at Shun'ei caused she assumed he has the good life, when that was the exact opposite as revealed in his teams ending (and before that the manga). Also Kukri is Dolores son!? Well shit, that's gotta be kinda arkward, especially since Dolores is so young looking being dead for years. EDIT: Not by blood it seems but still having a hotty like that for a mom....hooo boy.
