That full turn was WAY ahead of it's time, and better executed than most gymnasts are doing now..... Seems like she was well on her way to a real comeback. Shame she was injured.
THey could have used Vanessa Atler on the 2000 Team, but Bella didn't want her. If they took bar's away from her, and let her concentrate on the other 3, Vanessa would have been able to help that team big time! Kim too!

WOW her leg muscles are HUGE!
@marieked yes and in 1999 she tore a calf muscle and ruptured her achilles tendon
Shame that she got injured again after this. Could you imagine her at Sydney?
after these nationals, I thought she was going to make it to Sydney
Such a solid effort here.
❤❤❤
A ginastas dessa época eram bem melhores que as atuais. As de hoje fazem mais firulas, mas não têm muita firmeza na trave
great vault. little low on landing. best 1.5 was kerri strug at 96 olympic trials vt #2
@amygym she hurt her ACL in 1995 while trying for a comeback for 1996 Olympics
i wonder if she was still able to do her trademark mount during this time? Maybe just chose not to use it in this particular competition?
I think she would have but she tore her achilles tendon in 1999 and that was it..
was she supposed to do double tuck or pike?
U.S. commentators are the WORST sports commentators on the planet.
I prefer the Brits.
