Teak oil does pretty good in the Puget Sound area. Lasted a couple of years but I’m not that picky. I going to do the same as this but put spar varnish on the exterior side. Looks really good.
@@princeelwood, One of my 3rd generation boating friends told me all about using multiple coats of Oil, as in like 7-8 coats. He says it lasts forever... sort of, but looks like shiny varnish and self levels and everything really well.
Like the coffee bro!!!
It sure looks beautiful! My teak on my 22 is so faded it looks grey/white
Beautiful work. Anything worth doing is worth doing well. Subscribing!
Planning to refinish all the exterior trim. Would like to do teak oil. Good idea or bad idea?
Can "Spar Varnish" be put ontop of Teak Oil to protect it?
Was it a specific type of sand paper? Thanks for providing the different grits.
So just teak oil. Wonder how long it lasts? Nice.
I did that one year and it turned black after about three months.
No varnish, just teak oil?
Guess he is planning to do this every three months :)
Yes, you were right, need to do it again. Any recommendations on a nice varnish?
@@princeelwood Did you figure this out? Thanks!
