K. P. Ramanunni (Malayalam: കെ. പി. രാമനുണ്ണി) is a novelist and short-story writer from Kerala, India. His first novel Sufi Paranja Katha (What the Sufi Said) won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award in 1995 and the novel Daivathinte Pusthakam (God's Own Book) won the Kendra Sahitya Akademi Award in 2017. Jeevithathinte Pusthakam (Book of Life) won the 2011 Vayalar Award.
Subhash Chandran (born 1972) is a Malayalam novelist, short story writer and journalist best known for the 2010 novel 'Manushyanu Oru Aamukham'. He is one of the most read young writers in contemporary Malayalam literature. His stories "Vadhakramam", "Sanmargam", "Parudeesa Nashtam" and "Guptham" have been adapted into films. He is the only writer to get Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for both his debut story collection (2001) and debut novel (2011). He is also a recipient of Sahitya Akademi Award, Odakkuzhal Award and Vayalar Award.
Benyamin (born Benny Daniel in 1971) is an Indian novelist and short story writer in Malayalam language from Nhettur, Kulanada, near Pandalam of the south Indian state of Kerala. He lived in the Kingdom of Bahrain from 1992 to 2013, before returning to Kerala. His works appear regularly in Malayalam publications in Kerala.
Goat Days (Aadujeevitham), his most famous novel, portrays the life of an Indian labourer in Saudi Arabia. It is used as a textbook at Kerala University, Calicut University, Bharathiar University, Pondicherry University and 10th standard for Kerala State syllabus.
Jasmine Days (Juggernaut Books, 2018), translated by Shahnaz Habib won the inaugural JCB Prize for Literature, India's richest literary prize. It was originally written in Malayalam and translated by Shahnaz Habib, and is a “brilliant and intense novel”, jury chairperson Vivek Shanbag (author Ghachar Ghochar said while announcing the most expensive literary award in the country. The book tells the story of a young woman Sameera Parvin who moves to a middle eastern city and find herself in the middle of a revolution. It revolves around the Jasmine Revolution that sprang up in December 2010 and was quelled by January 2011.

ബെന്യാമിൻ, എന്റെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ട എഴുത്തുക്കാരൻ........
മൂന്നു പേരും നന്നായി സംസാരിച്ചു, ആരു ആരെക്കാള്‍ നല്ലവണ്ണം സംസാരിച്ചു എന്നത് പ്രസക്തമായ കാര്യമല്ല. മൂന്നും മൂന്ന് എഴുത്തുകാര്‍, അവരുടെ ജീവിതവും , അനുഭവവും വേറെ ആണല്ലോ. അല്ലെങ്കില്‍ പിന്നെ മൂന്നു പേര്‍ക്കും കൂടി ഒരാള്‍ സംസാരിച്ചാല്‍ മതിയായിരുന്നല്ലോ. നന്നായി.
വായന അത്ര കണ്ട് ഇഷ്ടപ്പെടാതിരുന്ന എനിക്ക് അതിന്റെ മനോഹാരിത വെച്ചു നീട്ടി തന്ന പുസ്തകമായിരുന്നു ആടുജീവിതം 💞

I am shocked at one reference of Mr. Subhas Chandran about a worm in Cluster Fig known in Sanskrit as Udumbara. He compares the worm with Sri Suresh Gopi. This shows the cultural level of the speaker. Why Suresh Gopi of all people in the world? As far as I know Sri Suresh Gopi is more aware of the fleeting nature of life as he had a serious bereavement in his close family which is unbearable. Great writer! Does not know how to use words.

സുഭാഷ് ചന്ദ്രൻ 12 വയസ്സിനുള്ളിൽ ഏതെല്ലാം പുസ്തകങ്ങൾ വായിച്ചു എന്ന പൊങ്ങച്ചം നമ്മൾ കേട്ടൂ. ഇരിക്കട്ടെ നിങ്ങൾ മഹാൻ തന്നെ. മൈക് കൈയിൽ കിട്ടിയാൽ അത് കൈമാറേണ്ട സമയത്ത് കൈമാറണം. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ അത് അരോചകമായി മാറും. ബെന്യാമിൻ അതിന്റെ രോഷം അവിടന്ന് തന്നെ തീർത്തു.

The dishonesty in the talk of K P Ramanunni is evident from what he says in the beginning. He cites books on Buddh, Mohammed and Marx which is mentioned because that is the clientele to whom he caters, who support him, the government from whom he receives recognition and awards. He talked that books like How to Win Friends and influence people are waste books which should not be read and the Writer Dale Carniege ultimately committed suicide. Dale Carniege died of Hodkins Disease and he didnt commit suicide as falsely stated by Ramanunni. Honesty in speech and content is most desired of writers which this man doesn't have. Besides it is cheap and third rate stuff to belittle others to market oneself, people write on a variety of subjects and its foolish to tell youngsters to read only literature and not other books. Ramanunni is what can be best described in Malayalam a Mannunni. Reading is a must and one must not limit it to anything particular. Also being a good writer doesn't make the person good or honest. That trait comes from proper upbringing and good companionship.

നിരന്തരമായ വായന കൊണ്ട് എറ്റവും ചുരുങ്ങിയ പക്ഷം വാക്കുകളെങ്കിലും കൃത്യമായി ഉച്ഛരിക്കാനുള്ള ഒരു കഴിവെങ്കിലും ഒരു വ്യക്തിക്ക് ആർജ്ജിച്ചെടുക്കാൻ സാധിക്കേണ്ടതല്ലേ ..?
പതിനഞ്ചിനെ "പയിനഞ്ച് ... പയിനഞ്ച്" എന്ന് പലപ്രാവശ്യം ഈ പൊതുവേദിയിൽ ആവർത്തിച്ച ശ്രീരാമനുണ്ണി സാറിന് വായന കൊണ്ട് മറ്റെന്ത് ഗുണങ്ങളുണ്ടായാലും അവയെല്ലാം നിഷ്പ്രഭമാക്കാൻ ഈ ഒരൊറ്റ കാര്യം മാത്രം മതി.

ആ ശ്ലോകത്തിൽ പറയുന്ന മായ എന്ന സങ്കൽപ്പം തികച്ചും ഭാരതീയവും ഭാഗവതം പോലുള്ള പുരാണങ്ങൾ കൈകാര്യം ചെയ്തവയുമാണ്
