This is 100% my brain after finals. Things make perfect sense until your poor brain catches up, and then you're just left with a whole lot of wth was I thinking
they’ve mentioned that with the clé series the point was that they didn’t really need the key they just needed each other so maybe that’s why they were able to step out of clé
I can't hold myself at the last second of this videos, when mumu describing how Stray Kids' musics went to us. You're damn right, your words just said it all, the bonds between Stays and Stray Kids' discographies are just like that. There's a lot of things happened to us lately, hearing you saying that, i broke into tears😭
it's nice how you noticed the choreographies when most reactors don't. Edit: omg thanks for the huge count of likes i've never gotten before😍 i love you stays especially
After My Pace, Levanter is hands down my favorite Stray Kids comeback. It’s so raw and emotional because it has the message of “leaving you behind has let me discover myself”. Also, I think it’s pronounced Leh-van-ter? I’m not sure...
After everything that's happened, and everything our boys have gone through, the emotion in this song feels so real. Levanter is seriously a carefully crafted masterpiece, and in my opinion, this is their best album yet. Stray Kids have without a doubt outdone theirselves again.
Loved how Umu recognized elements of previous choreographies in Levanter! (Side Effects, Mirror) There are also parts of MIROH, Young Wings, Insomnia, and Hellevator thrown in there too ^^
i saw somewhere someone had a really interesting theory that makes a lot of sense: basically i think they were saying that the whole time throughout the clé series they’re searching for this key, but it turns out there was never really a key. they were looking for something special when they had what they needed to succeed all along. they just needed to look into themselves to escape the maze of searching for something they can never have. also chan said a spoiler something along the lines of: “the secret ingredient is that there is no secret ingredient”, so i think it makes sense. sorry if i didn’t explain it well, the other person explained it a lot better... i wish i could find it now 😭
amazing you mentioned this regarding clé era. they also used this as lyrics in god's menu - "what's our secret ingredient? we don't use such a thing." i assumed it was just regarding their music production but it could be a referrence to the message in their storyline
collin ellis wow i had forgotten about this until your reply 🤯 it is crazy how much it lines up with the current era as well. makes me wonder if it was intentional 🤔 if so, their planning is insane lol
Super cool to hear Umu explain how the composition of the melody and instrumentals give that emotional, longing feel~ I'm so proud of Stray Kids for going with a different music genre/style each comeback, they're only 1.5 years old and have a really bright future ahead
They’ve said that this is the last of the Clé series, so step out of clé may just be referring to that? (Or the usual multiple meanings/references and that’s only one lol).
Umu stated the technical terms 3racha deployed in crafting this song. I felt it without really knowing the nitty gritty. After listing to it over 100 times, the arrangement and composition still evoke emotion and tears. After Felix’s It’s All Good Now, the ending is actually lifting and hopeful. The power of arrangement indeed!
Thanks for the reaction! Also, I’m glad you noticed the Side Effects and Mirror choreos making a comeback in the second verse. I appreciate you! (and so does Bang Chan) 💕
I kinda think that they were being dependant on (or obsessive about) the clé until now and that they now realize clé itself is not important. What's important is the actual journey trying to find that clé. Probably that's why they said "step out of clé" Just my theory😊
Chris said on an interview with Zach from the Zach Sang Show that this whole album is talking about how they have been so focused on this key thinking it contains all the answers to the troubles and tribulations on the past two albums of this series that almost blinds them, only for them to realize that when you stop focusing so much on that one element you open up your perspective to see a whole lot of other things that could be the answer they are looking for. When we have the ending of "Side effects" we have the key left behind, so from now on they are going to focus on finding the answer within themselves on their own terms. So what I understood is that they are inviting us to "step out of clé" and look at things from our own perspective and finding ways to get where we want with our own methods and efforts. It could be also an interpretation of them liberatingly saying they are making their own perspective of success and music, for them, there is no "key" to success, the "key" or the answer is doing what they do, is being who they are as artists. (Sorry for the long-ass comment but a girl got the feels)
Thank you for always supporting Stray Kids! I think you captured the message of their music well in the types of songs they make, from uplifting to angry to comforting to overconfident
I was trying to remember what that electronic part in the bridge made me think of, and of course it was My Side! That was really driving me crazy, haha.
don’t wanna comment it too much but I really do want you to check out Blue Flame by Astro. It’s so different from their previous styles and honestly I love your reactions so I’d love to see it :) But I’m glad you made a reaction to Levanter because i love this song too much as well
I cried like a b*j when I first listened to this song when it just got uploaded. Minho's first falsetto part made me tear up so easily and then I cried during the chorus. ugh,, how depressing.
UMU u have to react to the artist lim Kim’s recent music. She completely changed her sound and now her music is like art. I hope either you or the other musicians get a chance to react and analyse her production and lyricism since she makes very strong statements through her music. Love ur reactions
CHAN WAS TALKING ABOUT YOUR REACTION TO LEVANTER AND MAZE OF MEMORIES IN HIS CHANS ROOM EP 50 AT 18:25 ISH. (HE NEVER DIRECTLY MENTIONED YOU, BUT I THINK IT'S PRETTY OBVIOUS) HE SAID HE LOVED HOW YOU GUYS TALKED ABOUT THE SONG, AND SAID THAT IT WAS AMAZING FEEDBACK
On my first listen my first thought was how comforting and healing the song sounded and its great to hear the musical reasoning as to why it does sound like that!
When you were talking about it being bittersweet my brain said "yes bc Woojin" and then you went into chorus singing and harmonies and then you mentioned it being bittersweet again and my brain went "YES BC WOOJIN" and then it was about A major in a slower tempo so like yeah I understand that musically this song is very bittersweet but also my brain just go Woojin
where did you get your sweater/shirt from? i want it... I love your commentaries so much btw, it's really nice as someone who is studying music too to be able to listen to what you guys say about kpop songs and link it to my knowledge!

hello there, i have a question if you get any song requests or recommendations for reactions and if any, can you let me know how i can reach you.. thanks :)
It would be great if you guys can react to korean soul music like 1) clock by brown eyed soul 2) anything through the rain by brown eyed soul 3) love and life are the same by brown eyed soul 4) Lord in the storm by brown eyed soul
i get deeply offended when people make fun of k-pop groups. not because i’m your “typical” k-pop fan that talks about marrying the members and fighting anyone talking shit about them, but rather because i literally watch these people work so hard to showcase their music, and to see their efforts get reduced to stupid prejudices is just so infuriating. i hate that people don’t even think when they talk shit about k-pop. they have NO credible reason. all they talk about is how they’e gay and the music is trash, like literally what the fuck. the group are composed of real fucking people, with feelings and emotions. how can you just say things like that. it is absolutely disgusting, not even as a k-pop fan, but just as a fucking person. so i really love that channels like this exist. it’s nice to see these groups be evaluated by their actual music, and not by whatever the fuck the stereotypes for k-pop are.
wait... leVANTER IS ELEVATOR REORGANIZED??????? OH MY GOSH IM AN IDIOT edit: maybe i'm not as big of an idiot that i thought i was or i'm an even bigger idiot now bc theres no n idk man ahahha (also uhmm there's no o in levanter :)))
AS SOMEONE KINDLY POSTED OUT, ELEVATOR DOESNT HAVE A ‘N’ IN IT,, IGNORE MY THEORY AHAHAHAAAAA
wELL IF WE JUST SAY LEVANTER AND ELEVATOR QUICKLY, THEY REALLY DO SOUND SIMILAR!! IT WAS A SOLID THEORY FOR A SECOND!!!
omg lulz
I'm laughing because i just nodded and agreed with you! 😂
Goes to show i trust your word Umu

CHAN SOU YOUR REACTION HE SAID HE WACHED IT
they’ve mentioned that with the clé series the point was that they didn’t really need the key they just needed each other so maybe that’s why they were able to step out of clé
🥺
It's also interesting how they only do a half-chorus at the end, wonder if that lends to the longing feeling too
This song is the definition of a warm, comforting hug. It's my favourite title track from them - and possibly one of my favourites full stop.
True, last week I was feeling emptiness and I listened to this overnight, crying my soul out. After that, I felt better.
