Thanks for the explanation Parker ! This is really great but it has one disadvantage that we cannot use Smart narratives based on the Smart multiple visuals !! Rest assured its really great to have this in Power BI which Microsoft power bi team has provided!!
But what if I want a dynamic grid layout?. For example: I want the year to be my small multiples, but at the same time, year is a filter for all pages, so....If the user wants to filter the year 2022, I want my grid layout to be 1x1. But, if the user checks year 2022 and 2021, the layout should be 1x2, and if the user checks 4 years, then the grid layout should be 2x2, etc, etc...Is this even possible?.
This is a huge help! I have a follow up question though. I'd like to add a second slicer that would let me switch from something like sales in dollars to sales in pieces. How could I combine that with what you showed?
@John, I would incorporate that into the base measure (in this case the [Total Sales] measure he used). Develop that measure to return the value based on the currency slicer chosen)
Can this is be applied to a situation where for example. In my table I only have Date, cost, and expense. I want to put a dynamic slicer as a gross margin from (10-99%) so when I select the margin it automatically gives me the Sales columns? ( Cost + Expense) * Margin = Net Sale price.

What needs to be done for selections in the small multiples table to filter other visuals on the report page?
