    Thanks for going easy on me, Parker! 😅 Watching your own report being dissected in front of such large audience is a very unnerving experience 😬 Very different from your published reports being consumed by intended users. I appreciate your recognition and the pointers, and I will be abusing this newly earned title (?) of Power BI Master! 😉

      Hachi you are a genius. How long did it take you to get to this level if you don’t mind me asking? Once again great work!

      😊 Thank you, @@MAsif789! I'm not sure about 'genius', but I have never been one to turn down a flattery. 😄 I was first bitten by the PBI bug around 2016~17, I think. So, yes, a slow learner (aka not a genius).

      Hahaha. Totally understand that feeling. Especially when some Dax guru found that the Dax can easily be achieved by wayyyy fewer lines than how I created it.

    How to Power Bi showed the trick to resize recently. Added a measure to create a heading all the same value such as xxx changed the columns to that measure, turn off auto resize then replace the column with your original one.
    Edit for the heat map

    Hi..is it possible to have a video on page navigation trick please

    • @BIElite
      @BIElite  2 роки тому

      I think the best way to learn would be to download the PBIX attached to this video and break it down for yourself. This is about as in depth as we'll probably go.

    Question at section 25:00+, do you need to conditionally format the text and manually re-size the columns in the heatmap matrix, or - could you just turn off the data label? I will test later on myself, but that's where my mind goes as far as getting your copy of the heatmap matrix to look the same as Hachi's.

      If I remember correctly, the following is what I did:
      - Enable "Auto-size column width" (column headers)
      - Disable "Word-wrap" (values)
      - Place a dummy measure that returns a same value (like '00')
      (tried different font sizes until I got the col and matrix widths that I wanted)
      - Disable "Auto-size column width"
      - Replace the dummy measure with the actual measure
      - Set identical conditional formatting for both background and font colors
      I hope this helps.

    What about the word clouds? Are those taken from some built-in visual, or own R/Python coding?

    • @HachiAdachi
      @HachiAdachi 2 роки тому

      The Word Cloud is an AppSource visual made by Microsoft. I don't think these offered much value to my report, though, to be honest...

    It is a nice report, but any item selected from any page will not remain selected on the other pages...

    • @HachiAdachi
      @HachiAdachi 2 роки тому

      Wait, what?! You can make a selection stick over multiple pages?! 😮

    I like the idea of a tutorial, but your delivery is too disorganized. Your “first time seeing this” format is difficult to follow and not as practical. Please consider preparing a tutorial.
