Thank you very much! It’s a fun car despite needing some work. This car was my first project vehicle with my father. Happy yo still have it all those years later.
Hey nice '64. It's a great example of a 4 door sedan. Not many people would take the time to make one look so good. I have a '59 Belair 4 door sedan. Also a great car.
Love the sound of a beautiful small block mate, all the way from Sydney Australia. Especially like that you went to the trouble to fit a 700R4 and adapt it to the column, great cruising gearbox with O/D.
My dad gave me his ‘64 convertible. He has hydraulics on it, but I want to get rid of it. It also needs major motor work onto it. I’m also looking forward on making a restoration video of the progress.
That might just be the most gorgeous 64 impala sit down I have ever seen and one side question what kind of exhaust mufflers do you have on it because it sounds really amazing
Wow well thanks for the comment, I’m humbled! My dad and I bought the car together in 2011 and still have it. It actually didn’t run for a long time but as of last week is running reliably and stronger than ever! I should make an updated video on it. The exhaust is Long tube headers into 2” true dials and flow master 40’s the previous owner had installed.
For cold start I seen that they Pull the choke all the way and pump the gas halfway than after 3 or 7 seconds they turn the ignition and it fires up right away
I absolutely adore this car. The only thing deterring me from attempting to get one is the fact that the crash ratings on these things is very poor. In the test, the steering wheel pierced the test dummy, while the A pillar folded like origami, trapping the dummy in place. A good solution is a roll cage, and an engine bay reinforcement bar. All in all, nice car!
Phuftbucket hey man, congrats on the purchase! Those wheels are the stock 14” GM steel wheels for drum brakes. I am actually in the process of installing discs on the front which means going to 15” wheels. I’m going with 15” corvette rally wheels like the ones off my Chevelle just different off sets.
Such an awesome video, I have a 64 post sedan just like this with a 6… I’d love to do an engine swap like you did…. Also those wheels and tires are killer and you give me the details on those please .
Hey man, I love your car! That colour is amazing. I just recently inherited my great grandfather's 1964 Chevrolet Bel Air Sedan that he bought brand new at the time and was the only car he ever owned. Well, I'm proud to say that my grandfather passed down that very car to me. However, it's been sitting since '83 so it's going to be a fun revival! Out of curiosity, I feel like these cars must ride amazing. Is that true? I want to build mine similarly to yours.
Hey man, that’s awesome congratulations. Sounds like a great car with great history. They do indeed ride great - like driving your living room around. That will be a great revival, hope you make some videos about it. Where are you from?
@@leojt9423 Thanks man, I'm super excited! I'm not sure if I'll film the experience, but I will definitely post some clips and pictures on my instagram at the very least. My account is lowestmirror05. I'm from Saskatchewan, Canada. I'm actually a mopar guy so I'm completely out of my element here haha. I'll probably hit you up in the future for advice!
Thats a beauty of a 64. I have a 64 en route from usa 2 NZ right now looks about as mint, paint n interior as yours but in red, has a 283 in it and a 3 om the tree manual though. Very nice car that got me excited to get mine. Is that the factory engine combo?
Hey paul, very nice! Sounds like a great car and super cool color combo. I personally love three on the tree. Mine was originally a 283 - it has a warmed over 350 now.
BR Speedy's Automotive thanks man! It’s actually the rear end. I put a newly rebuilt 3.73 posi in it but it whines... all the lash is correct etc. just left it alone for now
My ‘64 Chevy Biscayne was a 4 door with three on the column. Bought it in ‘71 for $200. It had 104,000 miles and that six banger engine purred like a kitten. Loved it!
I’m honestly not sure about the production numbers.. I’d bet back in the 60’s the sedan was absolutely everywhere. I’m pretty sure it was the Toyota Camry back in the day. These days? Not sure.. I hardly see sedans anymore. They were everyone for sale, cheap, around 2010.
This is a REAL CHEVY!! Congratulations, you have a great car with great lines and great sound!! Marvelous!!
Oscar Sinoca thank you !!!
@@leojt9423 You welcome and enjoy this great machine!!! I love American classic cars!!
Your Impala sure runs and drives nice and the sound of that Power Glide at idle is nice also....well done!!!!
Thank you sir!
That's a really nice 64. Love it!
Thank you! Still have it!
Beautiful classic automobile you have there. Great cold start and driving video too. Thanks for sharing.

And that Jet Smooth ride!
That’s right!!

Alex Martinez very cool man! Look forward to seeing the video.
I live in Boston and I love this
Glad you enjoyed!! In Boston all the time.
The car was actually built in Framingham and we found/bought it in Dedham.
I like the plain hub caps.
Nice ride homie!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

Great sound
I have one 1964 Impala hardtop here in Brazil

Me gusta el carro un Chevrolet Impala 1964; está muy bonito saludos
Mucho gracias!!
In Canada, the Impala was also called a Pontiac Parisienne and wasn't a wide tracking Catalina or Bonneville.
Huh?
Hey mate, love the video. Recently just got a 64 myself. Was wondering what wheel size you've got on there? Looking to get the same style! Cheers

Thanks man! Those are just the stock rims and hubcaps with BFG tires in the stock size. They’re sadly long gone

The Catalina had a 389 c.i.d, with a Roto Matic three speed automatic with a much lower axle ration.
I think we got the Parsienne at some point in the late 60’s? Didnt know that thank you!!
@@leojt9423 Your Welcome.
During his youth, this man saw and interacted with people born in the 1700s.
Cool Impala, sounds good, gear drive whine from engine?

Have you dyno’d it?
Jeff Watson No sir. I will be dyno tuning it after the LS1 swap. I need to get the Chevelle on the dyno too.
I said before and I'll say it again. Sedans are much cooler than coupes and I find the 4 door to 2 door conversions absolute disgusting
Thank God I'm not the only one, I never understood the obsession with 2 doors, especially considering most classics look better with 4
My ‘64 Chevy Biscayne was a 4 door with three on the column. Bought it in ‘71 for $200. It had 104,000 miles and that six banger engine purred like a kitten. Loved it!
Do you still have it?
Se tarda se tarda en prender mi Corolla del 90 prende de un solo toque qué es una carcacha y de mecánica está show
Were coupes more plentiful than sedans or was it the other way around?!

Give it some gas!! Gonna burn up the starter??!!
Adrian Tomlin it’s got a weird starting issue - either in the spark or the choke on the carburetor. Still working on sorting it out
My dad haves a cousin named Oscar and he was born in 1964
اييه يارب ما تجي ٢٠٣٠الا وهي واقفة عند البيت 🤲
It spun an awfully long time before it started. Should not be that way.
Correct, the distributor wasn’t releasing the spark. Have since replaced the distributor and all is well.
It's a nice car , too bad it's a 4 door sedan. I had a '64 Impala SS back in '72. Now your talking!!!
Movies way too long man nobody wants to sit through all that get some cartoons
NOT ORIGINAL IN ANY WAY.
The body, trim, color, every piece of the interior, wheels and frame are ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
fine
