It depends, is space & weight more important for you when you're going for a trip? Also some people are not lucky enough to have dollar stores around them so...
Anakin.sandwalker, not necessarily, some of these are pretty neat and cheap (as in you can have easy access to them), not to mention as Pants said, some travel products are expensive. Lil addicted to ice, lighters aren't expensive...
Anakin.Sandwalker Travel Sized things aren’t good for a long trip because in some cases they are more expensive then bigger products. But if you were going to a sleep over or a 5 day trip maximum then I can see that travel sized products and practical.
Márcia Nakajima You can buy things like the foodsafe bag. They eliminate excess plastic waste. I think if you wash them with soap (not just wiping like in the video) it's great.
Julia totally agree. The problem is, they used adhesive velcro.. If you wash it, velcro is gonna fall off. But as long as you sew it, then you should be able to wash it.
Your hack: go find cooking tray and water soluble paper, get soap and a brush, brush on soap, then hang dry for hour +, then get scissors, then find several mini tins or waste mints in order to obtain them, then cut said paper to fit tins, then find Sharpie marker, then label them, AND then you can activate them with water. My Hack: go to store, buy soap. Done. I find it impossible to imagine that you can't fit travel sized soaps from a store into your luggage seeing as how people do this every day. I've never had to try and re-pack my luggage because the mini shampoo didn't fit.
You are hilarious! For a fraction of the cost, you can buy soap sheets. I have a pack in my purse that has lasted forever, because anywhere you go to wash your hands they have soap.
They are alternatives if you've got the materials on hand, plus the paper soaps are more compact anyway. 5 tins of those take up a similar amount of space to a regular bar of soap, even less space than liquid soap, and it doesn't have to be just one kind of soap to boot. Who's laughing now?
Yeah if you think about it they could be for example the makeup brush holder, making sure nothing else gets makeup on it while in like a suitcase And the spice holder from a straw you could use it to save space along with some others
That's true. But how practical is it to use a $10 saw, $30 vice, and the cost of all the other items to cut up two .99 water bottles to make such a small waterproof travel container. The cost for supplies on a lot of these hacks outweighs their usefulness. When you can get similar items at the $1 store or 5 and below.
I’ve done a sewing class in high school and experimented with leak proof pockets and I’d suggest putting glue or something along the seem of the reusable food pocket other wise you might have condensation or small particles leaking out of the bag which will defeat the purpose of it...
Well i suppose the paper is cheaper but i always thought lush shampoo bars body soap bars and scrubs in mini packs would also be just as effective and travel friendly
Please don't de-pot your makeup and use that hack. That plastic paint tray is from the $1 store, when that cheap, flimsy lid pops open all your expensive makeup will be garbage. That's what makeup bags are for, to keep your makeup and brushes secure and clean.
If you have a sushi mat (which to my knowledge are not super cheap) then WHY WOULD YOU PUT BRUSHES WITH IT WHEN YOU COULD MAKE SUSHI WITH IT INSTEAD?! What a waste of fine sushi.
I thought the same thing. A make up brush roll would be less expensive than the cost of the bamboo mat and the rest of the supplies that turned it into a brush roll.
it's all amazingggggggggg but i dont think i'll try one. ok maybe the sushi bamboo brush/stationary holder. or maybe ill just buy one bcause making it requires so many works.
I feel like the paper soap and the spice straws thingy can be made for fun purposes only. I mean, they're still useful but not for long-term travelling 😊😊
For those of you saying they aren’t useful and take too long to make, SO WHAT! They are doing this FOR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES! I enjoy watching them, even though I won’t use them! THANKS FOR TAKING TIME TO READ THIS HATERS AND MAYBE YOU WILL DELETE YOUR HATEFUL COMMENT P.S when u hate on a vid u still give it a view!
Question: why does all the sandpaper i see in American DIY vids always red? Is all sandpaper red over there or is it just that youre all buying the same brand?
that spice thingie it could easily be misunderstood for drugs so.....not a good idea for traveling..... also great idea if it is drugs then u can hide it in ur lotion bottle or something and it will be safe😏😏
Tip- This doesn’t apply to everyone, just a suggestion If you have more expensive makeup and you don’t want to depot it, I would suggest just going to your nearest dollar store and buying makeup specifically for traveling so you don’t have to “ruin” yours.
Anyone in their right mind would just carry their makeup in Ziploc bags (which, surprisingly are waterproof) instead of ruining all that expensive makeup forever.
Yes because I use half a teaspoon of shampoo every wash.. The hand one is ok and dish soap.. possibly body wash if one container was one wash. But the shampoo.. Honestly Coulda done hand sanitiser, face wipes etc nope you did shampoo..

I just watch these to pass time. I would never actually destroy my makeup for a “cute diy” when I can just buy a makeup bag.
It depends, is space & weight more important for you when you're going for a trip? Also some people are not lucky enough to have dollar stores around them so...
Ruby M. EXACTLY!!! No makeup lover would take the risk of de-potting their makeup
Right
maybe if you can't afford a make up bag. then you can do the diy.
Its makeup. Makeup is crap people put on their face
Or you can get travel sized products instead of spending money and time on those supplies.
Anakin.Sandwalker no because some things at the store like waterproof fire kits cost more than straws, sandpaper, and matches
Pants the Pupper Pup yeah, but they used a lighter to make it
Anakin.sandwalker, not necessarily, some of these are pretty neat and cheap (as in you can have easy access to them), not to mention as Pants said, some travel products are expensive.
The easy way😉👍
I feel like the straws would look very suspicious when going through customs....
Only Mango yes buzzfeed even admitted that themselves in an older video
I saw it and was like... "because that looks legal"
Only Mango saw this and immediatly was like "coke"
Only Mango maybe you should only bring it to road travels within your country 😊
Lol jingle jangle 'riverdale reference)
Let me just pick up the food safe fabric I have laying around the house and make a bag out of it using the sewing* machine I don't have.
Anakin.Sandwalker yup
They're just ideas, and options, they aren't forcing you
Sewing machine
Sorry, English isn't my first language
Hand sew then, its just straight stitches
yeah! seal a straw and fill it with white powder, that is inconspicuous! who doesn't take salt and sugar with them when they travel
a00100a Camping...
the video is called "7 Amazing Travel Hacks"
a00100a yeah lol, when we travel we just bring all the extra salt and mustard and ketchup packets we got from restaurants
a00100a u travel to go camping. people call camping a vacation
I've gone traveling places where they don't have this stuff so it actually can be pretty useful
Excellent! I was searching for a way to make traveling with cocaine easier!

This is there job so appreciate them. Ok
ammo322, you’re not spelling their right. Also, no one should expect from a UA-cam career that’d they get no hate.
But yeah
lmao i’d like to see someone try passing airport security with the straw containers; spices, toiletries, matches, all would look suspicious enough.
Andrea ˊᗜˋ i used to have a freind name Andrea 😑😧😭
Andrea ˊᗜˋ You don't have to take a plane to travel to some places.
I think it's for camping

The food safe fabric food bag is kind of unsanitary, the straw containers can look suspicious if you go through customs, but the other ones are cool
Márcia Nakajima You can buy things like the foodsafe bag. They eliminate excess plastic waste. I think if you wash them with soap (not just wiping like in the video) it's great.

When you’re going through security they will think it’s drugs
you don't need to use those for going through security, though? More for when you're going somewhere that is difficult to obtain those spices...
I think it's for camping, not actually flying
Your hack: go find cooking tray and water soluble paper, get soap and a brush, brush on soap, then hang dry for hour +, then get scissors, then find several mini tins or waste mints in order to obtain them, then cut said paper to fit tins, then find Sharpie marker, then label them, AND then you can activate them with water.

Lol I have wayyyy tooooo many little tins from Altoids. Good for holding tacs, staples, ect
this is literally perfect timing im going to florida in like 4 days
Anjali I going to Florida in 4 days to!! February 16th!!
I'm going on a car trip soon so this is perfect!
Amazing!! But I don’t have most of these materials lying around in my house
Creative af! Expensive af!
wow some of these ideas are really neat! But are they practical?
No, not really
Chunnie Ummm... yes and no...
Yeah if you think about it they could be for example the makeup brush holder, making sure nothing else gets makeup on it while in like a suitcase

Chunnie i
Ahem.... billion dollar question
i mean... if you have such small bottles on hand anyway why not just use them?
Mary Watson Smaller bottles in some cases are more expensive than bigger bottles
Don’t do the spice thing and fly! You will have so many problems getting thru TSA.
OMG! This is so wasteful. Just get smaller products. Or at least try using small glass containers!
Chitra Adkar not really because they are reusing discarded plastic and such more.
Yeah
That's true. But how practical is it to use a $10 saw, $30 vice, and the cost of all the other items to cut up two .99 water bottles to make such a small waterproof travel container. The cost for supplies on a lot of these hacks outweighs their usefulness. When you can get similar items at the $1 store or 5 and below.
Chitra Adkar they are just giving you ideas you don’t have to use them and you could have kept those things to yourself
Jenae Martin even you could have kept your reply to yourself. But here we are exercising free speech, aren't we😉?!
the paper soap is the one who is actually cool
The shampoo tho ;-;
In the age of hand wash and sanitizer who wants to use papersoap?
6:28 ouch... My heart 💔
I’ve done a sewing class in high school and experimented with leak proof pockets and I’d suggest putting glue or something along the seem of the reusable food pocket other wise you might have condensation or small particles leaking out of the bag which will defeat the purpose of it...
But...you already have a lighter 🤷🏽♀️
CurveTheRain but they are saying to so this at home and sometimes you can't take a lighter.
@@nevin1180 if they dont have a lighter then how else would they melt the plastic to use the hack?
Yes, I do have a clamp and sandpaper laying around.
We're in quarentine and this comes up first on my reccomended
Well i suppose the paper is cheaper but i always thought lush shampoo bars body soap bars and scrubs in mini packs would also be just as effective and travel friendly

Just buy travel-size/sample package for makeup. Problem solved
Can't post that on yt though
Yay! Going across the country on a train for spring break, and I'm in need of some good travel hacks ✌🏻♥️
Molly Fahrlander good luck on your trip!
Molly Fahrlander Have fun!
Please don't de-pot your makeup and use that hack. That plastic paint tray is from the $1 store, when that cheap, flimsy lid pops open all your expensive makeup will be garbage. That's what makeup bags are for, to keep your makeup and brushes secure and clean.
Then your in the wrong channel lol
The straw hack it amazing but if you forgot your scissors your screwed.
yea i can definitely get through airport security with my spices!
Also I really liked the reusable snack bags. It’s kinda cool
1:19 or just take the whole matchbox and put it in a container its not like gonna take all your space in your luggage 🙄
If you have a sushi mat (which to my knowledge are not super cheap) then WHY WOULD YOU PUT BRUSHES WITH IT WHEN YOU COULD MAKE SUSHI WITH IT INSTEAD?! What a waste of fine sushi.
1. Not all people like sushi
2. It might just be where I live but sushi mats are cheap
I thought the same thing. A make up brush roll would be less expensive than the cost of the bamboo mat and the rest of the supplies that turned it into a brush roll.
Love u Buzzfeed!!!
it's all amazingggggggggg but i dont think i'll try one. ok maybe the sushi bamboo brush/stationary holder. or maybe ill just buy one bcause making it requires so many works.
Why would you use resin instead of glue?
Because you were too dumb to just buy little containers from the Walmart. But had two-part resin hanging around your house.
TheGooglyminotaur Most people I know keep resin in their house?
Yea, why use expensive af resin when there’s this magical thing called epoxy. Ugh.
Melesse636 epoxy is resin.....
Melesse636 epoxy is resin though.
The last one I swear would stress me out so bad! (Btw I have anxiety that’s why)
please do diy aquarium decor
I LOVE the idea of keeping food in a cloth it will help save the investment! And we need that or at least will
I just watch, I don’t actually try them out...
1:16 yes label my cocaine as salt and the authorities are guaranteed not to be suspicious
Tip! Use boba straws instead of those thinner straws if u need more space
Instead of food safe fabric, use ziploc bags. Are practical, reusable, easier to clean and save things than the fabric option.
So i did the paper soap one and it worked and in case u where wondering water soluble paper is just average printer paper.
luv the straw ones
0:58 I don't recommend this hack. We got stopped by Airport security because they thought we were trying to smuggle drugs.
They have already done the paper soap in another video
Emelyn 1626 y They have done at least half of these in other videos...
It is really annoying because you click on the video to learn new hacks, but then you realize you have already seen them in other Nifty videos.
They do compilations so if just want paper soap. Watch that video. Want travel hacks? Stay here.

Some of these ideas should be for when you need to be prepared for something makes more sense than having it on a trip
“Food safe fabric” .... Phhttt...PPPPPHHHHTTTT

I love that PAPER SOAP DOE.
Ok I don’t know what type of travelling nifty does but some of these hacks are not worth it!
I feel like the paper soap and the spice straws thingy can be made for fun purposes only. I mean, they're still useful but not for long-term travelling 😊😊
The palette one if really good if you're travelling for a long time, I think.
Would the soap one work with conditioner
who the hell keeps food in a cloth bag
shy shy shy, bitches BuzzFeed Nifty does.
shy shy shy, bitches it said food safe cloth
its good for the enviorment
Its a great idea...
Me (I just cover the inside with tin foil or wrap)
Someone pls help me. How do i find water soluble paper? I need it for my assignment
I feel that straws would look very suspicious as they are going to customs ...
2:50 lunch boxes are pretty cool
2:10 warning! Never sew on a machine with pins in as they might break and fly out hitting you.
Stay safe kids!
Waterproof travel containers are cheaper than two part resin
What is food safe fabric???
1:41 say what did you use to close the end of the fire kit straw?? Hmm
could I use reugualr paper? :) i would really appreciate ut if someone could tell me if they tried it :)
The paper soap hack is pretty cool though

This doesn’t apply to everyone, just a suggestion

Zahra Ahmed No, unfortunately it will fall apart and not work.
No, you might get paper cuts. Ouch!

That Diy palette has a Super shock shadow. Why??? It will dry.
Yes great idea to try and get on a plane with a tube labeled fire kit!👏
It is currently 3 am. I am traveling(trying to get there early) so I’m nervous:(
I thought the makeup brushes were paintbrushes at first, smh. I was like 'oh, a way to store art supplies' but no. 😂😂
If your hair doesnt like the paper shampoo things, you could fill the straws with shampoo and conditioner and bring those instead.
🤦🏾♀️ “ain’t nobody got time for all that”, ...or at least I don’t . 😂😂
Question...how do u put toothpaste inside straws?
Yes because I use half a teaspoon of shampoo every wash..
The hand one is ok and dish soap.. possibly body wash if one container was one wash.
But the shampoo..
Honestly
Coulda done hand sanitiser, face wipes etc nope you did shampoo..

DON'T eyeball resin amounts. Read the packaging and either use weights or volumes and make sure they are exact. I know what it feels like having a project made and coming to the realization that it is sticky and gross and you can't even touch it. Use gloves and a mask too, you can get a resin allergy if you don't.
