What an amazing game. It was so painful watching John trying so hard to be good, but ultimately failing. I really feel for the guy, and I think the episode name (Same Stitch) is talking about Batman, Joker, and Waller. They are all part of the same stitch. The stitch being fighting for justice, but all of them doing it differently. Hell you could even throw Gordon in on this analogy. They all want to do the right thing but make mistakes. Joker wants to do things Batman's way, but his mental illnesses prevent him from not killing and he loses it. I mean just think about the strength and willpower Bruce has to not kill any of the horrible scum he encounters in the field. It would be really hard for anyone to not just go full Punisher and kill all the evil, and just impossible for an unstable person like John. I really feel for him, he just wants to be loved by someone and fit in. The only reason he turns evil is because Bruce rejected him and Harley was there to corrupt him. The only reason he turns good is because Bruce offered him real friendship while they were in the Pact, as opposed to just feeling like a pawn to everyone else in the Pact. Bruce really did use John, but they ended up being real in the end with Bruce genuinely wanting to help John and John genuinely wanting to do good. I know a lot of people didn't like this interpretation of the Batman story, really doing things differently with Thomas being a crime lord, Joker just being impressionable and mentally ill, but I personally love it. It's so complex and just makes sense. Instead of just being cut and dry, really black and white with villains clearly being villains, and heroes being good and doing no evil, this story gives everything more meaning. Instead of clear black and white, villains and Heroes are more gray. Villains like The Penguin and Lady Arkham have great motivation to hate Batman and Bruce. Bruce's father did horrible things to them, locking Lady Arkham's parents in Arkham Asylum, and screwing over the Cobblepot family big time. Heroes like Tifanny and Joker have blood on their hands, despite clearly wanting to do good. Joker not being able to control his urges, and Tifanny wanting revenge for his father. I think Batman sees himself in both of them. It's just naive to say he hasn't had the same impulse to kill the scum of Gotham as Joker, and he relates to Tifanny's thirst for vengeance for obvious reasons. Maybe this even goes for Waller when I say they all want to do the right thing just make/made obvious mistakes. Waller's line of work has desensitized and toughened her into a cold businesswoman. Joker has strong impulses to kill and it's impossible to keep Batman's code for very long. Tifanny just wanted revenge for the murder of his father, just like Bruce with his parents. She hasn't learned to restrain herself like Bruce has and she made a rash decision. I guarantee if little Bruce had the chance to kill Joe Chill in that alley, he would have because young people aren't good at making decisions. Obviously Tifanny isn't a child but she is human.
This version of Joker is genuinely, legitimately funny. He's the Deadpool to Batman's Cable (or Batman's Rorschach, if you watch I'm a Marvel and I'm a DC).

I'm a victorious All my friends are glourious I think Neoxon meant that in season 3 he will be batman again That's why being giving up mantle will be bad and we know Alfred will return in s3
Batman The Enemy Within was an awesome telltale series . Hopefully they will learn from the success of this series and implement it in their Future Games .
I'd love to see another season. I'm hoping that they'll introduce more characters, like Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, and Talia al Ghul.
You try to do the good thing but that distances people Some times even makes things worse And you can't save every one How ever, you can save people that are close to you Don't be a hero Be a friend Be a family.
Omg playing this was amazing!!! It's both sweet and sad with how in the start of this with teaming up with John is alot of fun and it slowly gets sad with how in the end Joker couldn't be a hero like batman. The face batman makes at 1:13:28 after John loses control right in front of him and becomes the evil joker. Batman looked pained that he failed to save John boy did that hurt. for me this fight with Joker was the most powerful and super emotional fight. then the part with John saying how he wanted to be liked and loved by him and then asking if they were friends tore me apart. Also like how with last season it questioned the waynes and this one question's batman and that final choice was a hard one. Of course I picked Alfred and im glad Bruce said how he could do good for gotham as Bruce and not just batman, and that hug was the best. As sad as this episode got me I was so happy to see the ending with Bruce visiting John showing that the friend question mattered :). Great game overall and I'm super interested if a season 3 is possiable since there are so many branches. Would be cool to see a story of a gotham without batman anymore, maybe something like spiderman 2, or a batman story without alfred there with you.
Honestly, this is one of the best versions of the Batman mythos I have ever seen. And this version of Joker is intriguing, and a refreshing take on the character too - for one, it's interesting to see him be the recipient of abuse from Harley instead of the other way around, and for another, it was somewhat heartbreaking to see and hear his laughter during the final fight (on the Vigilante route, that is); it sounded like he was trying to hide tortured crying behind the signature crazy laugh. Somehow, you just can't help but feel sorry for the guy, knowing that this version of him was honestly trying to be a hero for justice, only to resignedly determine at the end that he just can't do it. Just a few questions remain for the next iteration of the Telltale series: how will Tiffany's training turn out? What will happen next with Catwoman? Will Bruce truly be able to keep the promise to Alfred that he'll quit being Batman? And will we get to see more of Batman's famous rogues, specifically the likes of the Scarecrow, Black Mask, Poison Ivy, Hugo Strange, Ra's al Ghul, Azrael, Hush, and Killer Croc?
I like the Joker/Batman partnership. In an alternate universe it would be a dynamic duo with time Batman's influence on Joker would cause him to embrace the code. Given enough time. They would make a good team.
Good thing you chose 'You went too far' on Waller's last scene. She unnecessarily escalated things at the bridge when John clearly got Harley under control. Sure, John didn't feel like giving the virus to Waller at first, but with a little more time, maybe he could've.
Roblox King not really when you think about it because Tiffany has been sneaking around and acting shady since the beginning and also she gave obvious signs she did it
Really, I thought it would be either Deadshot or Deathstroke considering the sheer distance of the shot. Not that I expected Batman to confront them directly, but I believed one of their names would be revealed at the end to set up the next season.
HIPPO I LOVE YOU! THIS MADE MY DAY THANK YOU SO MUCH! dude I seriously hope you do all other telltale games cause I like how you do good and bad walkthroughs. Like honestly it's about time. Thanks so much you are the best!
this Joker-Batman dynamic is by far the best ive ever seen. It summarizes the unhealthy obsession they both have towards each other in other media and puts something personal between them. John is drawn towards Bruce's insane mission because he relates with how crazy his intentions are but can't fully understand it which results in him always looking for a reason to be a hero (convinced Waller killed Riddler and trying to condemn her to punishment similar to batman but in his own way). And how Bruce wants to help John but not in the same way he wants to reform any other criminal, he wants to help John because he sees a friend in him. I dont remember the scene but there was a moment where some character told bruce he was drawn to the insane, and I believe that's what draws him to Joker specifically.
There is a better ending for Tiffany where you manage to convince her to remain hidden in the lab by asking her to trust you as you've been honest with her every step of the way. This ensures Harley never meets her.
The way I see it, it’s best to let Alfred go... because no doubt Batman will eventually have to come back and I can’t find it in my heart to lie to Alfred only to make him go through this again
Personally,I feel Its wrong To have Alfred BLACKMAIL him like this: Alfred,IN other The comic book universe,NEVER left him,Nor in the movies....How can he do this?
Bruh idk if it's a bad thing but i genuinely hope John and Bruce stay tight (in our memories because rip telltale lol). I woulda hug the shit outta that guy even if he would stab me
For once a glimpse of hope for john is shined! His sanity is coming back in the cut scene for the ending! But may he remains a tragic tale and remains a legend for ever as a fallen friend.
i felt myself crying when i was fighting John as vigilante joker he was my best friend though this amazing season 😭 i hope we see him again hopefully in season 3
I accidentally didn't say anything when Joker asked if we are friends, and to be honest, I'm kinda glad I didn't. The ending with Joker looking out of the window, seeing Batman and saying - "Enemies" was kinda fantastic. Especially the fact that it creates that Batman vs Joker dynamic we know from comics, but with different and unique bond. Also, I think it sets up Joker as a villain lot better than in villain playthrough, because in villain story he was way too insecure and too hateful. In vigilante though, it's like slow backstory for Joker coming to his own, fully coming out clawing from inside. Of course not saying that staying friends is a bad thing, it's a different story and it can be played as such, just saying that as a fanboy, that was really great for my taste.
Why is no one talking about the credit scene?? Why did the music stop when John/joker saw Bruce? Why did he start laughing? I have a theory tho...Hush? I might be wrong, but the music gets so creepy 🤷
This really bummed me out to see joker like this. I know we had our reasons but still he just wanted to be a hero he just needed to control his temper at times. I loved him as a hero I wish they were comics on him like this.
Alexander Tompkins honestly I don’t think much people know how to free her on the vigilante ending considering you have to make little side choices to free Catwoman. It’s a lot easier on the Villain ending because you can straight up talk to Waller about the fate of people like, Gordon, Catwoman, Harley and Bain
literally crying with this game i didn’t even knew about this game from telltale, only TWDG and The Wolf Among Us, but giving a shot at Batman The Enemy Within was by far, the best thing that happened in my year Thank you for making possible for everyone to watch that lovely game with good choices, i’m very grateful for all your work! Great video! ❤️ Love from Brazil ^^
FUUUUCK TELLTALE OMG! Every single time they release something im like “oh damn the choices actually make differences this time this is pretty good” and then it’s THE SAME FUCKING ENDING WHATEVER YOU DO. The fake sense of choice is getting more and more elaborate, but it’s still fake. making so however fucking hard you try you still have john go fucking insane and everyone says you manipulated him even though you picked EVERY ANSWER TO BE HONEST is just completely unrewarding man wtf.
The illusion of choice. Telltale has been doing that from the begging to be very honest they could've deftionly made the choices better. As well with the ending itself.
I think it mainly stems from them ALWAYS wanting to make sequels, so they can't actually make different endings because they need a common start for the next game, which completely defeats the purpose of giving players choices.
Well... None of these games (telltale, bioware, quantic dream) was ever about "choice". It's about how certain choices change the context of the narrative. Just as in real life choices don't matter, the only thing that ever matters is CONTEXT :P
This episode is so better than villain Joker episode. Maybe I am crazy but I am on Joker's side. He's completely right about Waller, still he needs help but I believe that after this ending he really can be reformed and become something really good. I would really like to see that.
Bruce can still be a mentor for Tiffany. He promised to Alfred, that he won't be Batman anymore, but he can still training Tiffany to be the new superhero of Gotham. And who knows someday Bruce still has to become Batman. It's also surprising how less people had chosen to confess to Selina and freeing her. It would be a good ending if Bruce and Selina would be two former vigilantes who trains a new generation of heroes while Bruce works alongside with former agent Avesta to increase the safety of Gotham with new technological devices and medical improvements. And sometimes Bruce would visiting John in Arkham and talking with him. I like the fact, that after all he did Bruce still can't give him up and seeing him as a friend. I mean John is much more sympatic than his old friend Oswald.
I don't understand something if you side with joker and tell him you care about him is he ending up as your friend? Like if he meets with you in season 3 will he align with you?
Okay, even though keeping our friendship with Joker would be most people's choice given their relationship throughout this series, even John is bewildered and honestly not very content if you choose that option. Despite the ending you do get where Bruce visits him and Arkham & looks happy to see his buddy. On the other hand, if you choose not to say anything or tell that they were never friends, John is devastated, BUT also... excited with that outcome. Considering he knows he's beyond saving & could never be a hero like Batman despite Bruce's attempts to help him. He'd rather be an enemy that enjoys fighting with Batman and keeping him at bay, than to work with him as a partner, cause that's not what John truly thinks of himself cause of his extreme mental problems that are beyond repair. That's classic comics Joker right there. Say what you want about the Villain path, but having Joker find his true self through working with Batman, regretfully telling him that they were never friends, and ending up a villain & enemy of the Dark Knight with much joy and peace in his soul at their new relationship is the best outcome for the Vigilante path, and the best Season 2 ending overall for me. Along with all the other morally good choices you can make along the way, even though giving up Alfred would have to be the only bad choice you could make. He'll be back in Season 3, trust me. 🙂
I think forgiving Tiphany makes more sense at the end of the "villain" route, here he's basically retreading the exact same path he did with John and hoping for a better outcome. With the villain route, Bruce will be feeling guilty over how his condemnation and rejection twisted John and thus tries a different tactic with Stephanie...
yeah.. I'm sorry but this version of Alfred is full of shit. As far as Batman causing as much damage as he solves.. just watch the batman TAS episode "The Trial". It outright states that even without batman, the Gotham's rouges gallery would still have gone on to do horrible sh*t, the only difference would be that some of their gimmicks would be a bit different. Its the same story here. Lady Arkahm, Cobelpot, Riddler, John Doe, etc, all would have done horrible sh@t and killed loads of people with or without Bruce's influence. The only difference like before would be that some of them MIGHT have slightly different gimmicks.
Revan498 Well...he’s a little under the influence of the malt 🥃 Honestly, most of his concerns relate to how Bruce has tackled things wholly on his own, and remind him of Thomas’ single-minded ambitions, which actually led to the creation of Penguin and Lady Arkham. Two-Face was the first determinant foe by Batman either by negligence or encouragement feeding his ego. John is at least capable of seeing that his own darkness took him too far.
If I was one of the makers in this game, I would consider John Doe as the Deuteragonist, Catwoman as the Tritagonist, Penguin as the Main Antagonist, and Bane as the Secondary Antagonist In Season 3 of Batman: The Enemy Within
I don’t think giving up Batman is exactly the good decision, the city would go to hell without him, it’s been shown that Bruce Wayne on his own wouldn’t be enough, which is why most people didn’t give up batman
Tiff is a criminal. I totally understand her motivation, and I didn't even turn her in, but that doesn't change anything. Batman should never stop reminding her of that. Her sentence is to be forever blamed by the BATMAN :P
Good choice run: 6 good outcomes 2 bad ones Overall Blue/Orange count: Blue: 12 (Jim-3, John-2, Tiffany-2, Waller-1, Catwoman-1, Harley-1, Alfred-2) Orange: 11 (John-2, Tiffany-2, Avesta-2, Waller-3, Harley-1, Alfred-1) It's an okay outcome for a good choice run Good Outcomes: 75% Blue Relationships: 52% Good Total Percent: 58%

Leaving you is the only way to make you understand." & 1:33:08 - 1:33:13 "I'm so sorry! I failed you! You trusted me, and I failed you!"
One of John friends, Frank is the guy from Season 1, 2 episode, nice ditail. I hope John will be ok but he is in Arkham again and I am afraid that Arkham doesn't help him again. Agent: Doe is a monster. Waller: You're on bad side Batman. Me: So working with villains like Harley and Bane doesn't make you a monster Amanda? She is such a hypocrite, I wish we could bring her to justice but looks like John was right, killing her is the only way to bring her to justice because Batman is not able to stop her. Batman even said that Waller should go to jail but in the end he just let her leave Gotham. That's a bit unfair. Both Waller and Osborn are corrupt and evil, their enemies wanted to kill them because they knew that Waller and Osborn never will go to jail for their crimes and they were right.
I don't like the fact that everyone thinks that John is evil, even Alfred says his things that John is a maniac. He needs help actually and Waller is a true monster here. She use and manipulate people, also Batman saved her and Waller still says that he is like criminals he fights. She is a hypocrite, she and her agents are corrupt completely.
Amanda Waller: “You put my people in the hospital, protecting a maniac who killed at least three of my agents. A maniac who stabbed me in the gut!” Me: “You deserved it! After dismissing Commissioner Gordon and interfering with his business (although it was nice of you to get Bruce Wayne uncuffed, but still) Batman: “Let Catwoman go. She helped against the Pact, she’s not like the others.” Amanda Waller: “You’re asking me to let a wanted criminal out on the streets?” Me: “Did you not hear what he just said? Or do you need to clean out your ears?”

But at least Batman will be there to stop and try to help them. It's why I choose to stay Batman, plus Batman won't be truly alone without Alfred.
It’s ok to give up the cowl because Bruce could train Tiffany to protect Gotham
While most of these decisions I agree with, I'm not sure if it was the right call to give up being Batman. You'd be leaving Tiffany & Gordon hanging.
Neoxon better than let a father figure gone away
True, but I think being honest also includes being honest with yourself.
Neoxon ?
I'm a victorious All my friends are glourious I think Neoxon meant that in season 3 he will be batman again
That's why being giving up mantle will be bad and we know Alfred will return in s3
Neoxon and Joker/John would probably lose any remaining respect he had for Bruce.
Batman The Enemy Within was an awesome telltale series .
Hopefully they will learn from the success of this series and implement it in their Future Games .
More Hero Joker to start with.
Who????
I'd love to see another season. I'm hoping that they'll introduce more characters, like Dick Grayson, Barbara Gordon, Scarecrow, Poison Ivy, and Talia al Ghul.
They should make a telltale for The Flash and the choices you make would effect the timeline.
Hippo Reddy omg i love you and your channel

And you can't save every one
How ever, you can save people that are close to you

That epilogue.
The possibilities.
I'm gonna go lay down and cry T-T
This is actually cool seeing Batman and Joker fighting side by side
I hope that the Joker will get to be a true hero one day

I wish there was an option for to say “I do love you John”
ERROR BLADE same that would be so cute
Bruce and John would be like Brothers
@@KitchenWitchery Yeah because anybody with common sense already knows what they are.
@@KitchenWitchery I ship Bruce-John the most.
@@KitchenWitchery Chill out, dude.
34:29 In this scenario, I would follow a quote of the greatest Batman in live action:
“I won’t kill you, but I don’t have to save you”
Omg playing this was amazing!!!
Agreed it was awesome :)
I hope the game sells well so telltale will be motivated to make season 3 .
I fell like Joker will be simzular to Haniball ( even though MUCH nicer and ) and will be Batmans intel who he goe sto if he ends help
If there's gonna be another Batman game like this I wanna see
- Scarecrow
- Killer Croc
- Poison Ivy
- ManBat
- Mad Hatter
- Clayface
- Scarface
Same and I want Deathstroke.
Thats a lot batman the telltale series can only accept 5 villains
Well tell tell went out Business so I don’t think so
Man, I'd love to see the new Telltale's take on Batman's villain origin. Let's just hope they improve it more in the future..
I want to see Joker help Batman in the next season or at least Robin or Deathstroke
1:35:24
That look bruce gives
He knows he can't always keep alfred his promise
One day the bat will return and the fear of losing alfred will return
I like the Joker/Batman partnership. In an alternate universe it would be a dynamic duo with time Batman's influence on Joker would cause him to embrace the code. Given enough time. They would make a good team.
Joker literally became The Punisher
It'd be a nice continuity reference if the vigilant Joker was called the Jokester instead.
Good thing you chose 'You went too far' on Waller's last scene. She unnecessarily escalated things at the bridge when John clearly got Harley under control. Sure, John didn't feel like giving the virus to Waller at first, but with a little more time, maybe he could've.
It seemed quite the shocker that Tiffany killed Riddler.
Yeah

Hippo thanks for the good choices you put great gob
Thanks for watching :)
We need Robin in season 3
Yeah
Robin always shows up in Year 3. If we don't get him, I'm gonna be pissed.
Maybe Tiffany will be Robin.
Craig Harvey-Gurr I would disagree, I think she’s more like Duke in the comics; I would really like to see Dick and later Barbara
Shark Dude 7 I agree
I want to point out one thing about that last choice. It wasn't wrong and it wasn't right either. Sooner or later, the Batman will need to return.
Mart Bruce would probably pay for better security
51:36 Is it just me, or does Tiffany sound like the Arkham Knight when she disguises her voice?
It's his voice.
Ever since Waller was introduced I was wondering if we would see a suicide squad scenario
Nice.
Technically you saw the suicide squad
I was so happy that Bruce came to visit John (^~^ ) Made my heart melt
31:14 I absolutely love this. *Shut her down*
Yes
There is a better ending for Tiffany where you manage to convince her to remain hidden in the lab by asking her to trust you as you've been honest with her every step of the way. This ensures Harley never meets her.
It felt nice watching Batman and Joker on the same side for once
I'm only 15 minutes in, and I already know this is going to be epic
The entire scene after 1:15:10 broke my heart. And 1:38:31 mended it.

The way I see it, it’s best to let Alfred go... because no doubt Batman will eventually have to come back and I can’t find it in my heart to lie to Alfred only to make him go through this again
Personally,I feel Its wrong To have Alfred BLACKMAIL him like this: Alfred,IN other The comic book universe,NEVER left him,Nor in the movies....How can he do this?

i felt myself crying when i was fighting John as vigilante joker he was my best friend though this amazing season 😭 i hope we see him again hopefully in season 3
nikolas little I feel the same way
I like the joker better as a vigilante.
This was a beautiful adventure. I love adventures and I'm glad that Bruce and John still are friends.
BigbyRoar
Yeah he is probably hush. But where are the scars? It was probably just John's Imagination.
BigbyRoar no it’s real in the other ending where you say we were never friends Batman appears outside and it’s real
1:11:54 damn it waller don't make this become killing joke!
I'm actually glad to see the honest path in this game. Lucius would be proud of Tiffany carrying on the work he started with Bruce
This really bummed me out to see joker like this. I know we had our reasons but still he just wanted to be a hero he just needed to control his temper at times. I loved him as a hero I wish they were comics on him like this.
Me too. It's my favorite Joker if I have to be honest. Sooo better than this Joker from Arkham Series.
1:36:40 Holy shit! Only 3% of players told her you loved and secured her freedom!!!
OmegaEvilZStrikerXII But that choice is CORRECT and noble!
Cause Batman ain't no pussy whipped bitch and not many of us are down with playing him like that.
1:36:38 Wait, really? 3% of players actually did that? Now that’s something rare and sweet
Alexander Tompkins but 3% is smaller than I thought it would be considering how people like her!
I had to look up the forums to find out how to free her. Very easy to miss the choice.
literally crying with this game
i didn’t even knew about this game from telltale, only TWDG and The Wolf Among Us, but giving a shot at Batman The Enemy Within was by far, the best thing that happened in my year

I really want a comic series to pick up after this! I don’t care about what Joker they use the story will still be interesting
“Now you owe me.” Wish I had chosen that option.
The fact that Bruce's and John's friendship is broken is kinda sad..so i was wondering if there was a way of still being friend with the Joker?
It is amazing how Vigilante Joker in this game perfectly encapsulates what comic Joker did to Jason Todd (and what happened since) and Barbara Gordon.
You are not crazy. Killing the villains and corrupt agents is completely normal thing but of course idiots can't understand that.
So I can't kill Waller or destroy the Agency? Only dissapointment with this episode.
FalconRS I know wanted to go with John
@@Albert_YTC Me too. I don't like agency.
@@Albert_YTC I hate the agency too they betrayed John.
@@emmanuelojurongbe758 I especially hate Waller.
It was such a surprise to see her talk my language XD
Bruce Wayne might give up the fight, but there will always be Batman, one way or another.
27:13- does this mean Waller is responsible for killing Lucius?!
I don't understand something if you side with joker and tell him you care about him is he ending up as your friend? Like if he meets with you in season 3 will he align with you?
Maybe . I am not sure .
He will align with you. But, he may not follow the no killing rule.
I love your play through ty it's refreshing to see this version of joker and the end scene got me tearing man
I think forgiving Tiphany makes more sense at the end of the "villain" route, here he's basically retreading the exact same path he did with John and hoping for a better outcome. With the villain route, Bruce will be feeling guilty over how his condemnation and rejection twisted John and thus tries a different tactic with Stephanie...
Thanks for showing! :)
Thanks for watching :)
Revan498 Well...he’s a little under the influence of the malt 🥃
Honestly, most of his concerns relate to how Bruce has tackled things wholly on his own, and remind him of Thomas’ single-minded ambitions, which actually led to the creation of Penguin and Lady Arkham.
Two-Face was the first determinant foe by Batman either by negligence or encouragement feeding his ego. John is at least capable of seeing that his own darkness took him too far.
If I was one of the makers in this game, I would consider John Doe as the Deuteragonist, Catwoman as the Tritagonist, Penguin as the Main Antagonist, and Bane as the Secondary Antagonist In Season 3 of Batman: The Enemy Within
Maybe the rumored season 3 can have a happy ending for everyone, too.
What a rollercoaster, my heart is being pulled
I don’t think giving up Batman is exactly the good decision, the city would go to hell without him, it’s been shown that Bruce Wayne on his own wouldn’t be enough, which is why most people didn’t give up batman
@@JazzStation95 No.

The fact that you still heart comments on this video warms mine.

I don't like the fact that everyone thinks that John is evil, even Alfred says his things that John is a maniac. He needs help actually and Waller is a true monster here.
