I used both at my last job to test Bluetooth apps. I was surprised how much more I liked the S6 Lite. I'm used to Android and especially drag and drop file transfer with a PC . The iPad was heavier, I didn't care for the home button vs. swipe gestures and moving files outside the Apple world was more difficult. I've owned my own iPads but for me, today, I'd get a Samsung tablet over an iPad.
It something I have to get used to when i first get the iPad, but so far, I like it. it depends on user’s preferences.
Samsung is something user friendly
As a artist, i had the ipad 8 with the apple pencil but switch recently for the tab s6 lite and I can be more happier with the change! The fact that tab s6 lite come with their stylus and build by wacom its a major plus! And I can use CSP, ibispaintX, and more drawing apps. I loved Procreate when I had the ipad but I started to use more CSP on the ipad and now on mu tab S6 lite and I love it! CSP feels more complete and has more brushes to download! Another major plus is the price… the price is very reasonable and you dont have to buy a separated stylus like the apple pencil to use for drawing! Anyway, I love my tab S6 lite and just bought a 1TB micro SD storage… THATS ANOTHER MAJOR PLUS!!!

I bought Tab s6 lite last year and I am a student-I use it to make my notes daily and it also have such a nice display and audio quality because the speakers are placed very well.
It is amazing with such a comfortable S pen .
Some of you might find it unusual but I found it no less than Apple 8th gen.

Same, I almost bought the s7 because of the samsung dex feature. So glad it's now available for s6 lite.
Hey I own s6 lite. Pls do note it Does NOT support external monitor at all (as it has only USB 2.0. The Dex is restricted only within tab (cannot connect to monitor)
@@moorthy001 that depends what kind of user you are. That's not a feature I need. I have multi-monitors on my desktop and if I need Android I use BlueStacks to emulate. Even without that feature I will also often have the tablet propped up on the desk underneath the monitors and be able to multitask using both devices as well.
I'm not going to lie because it would be cool if it did support that feature but the lack of it is not something I worry about. It's still a fantastic value for the hardware and delivers everything I could ask of it. There's always going to be one extra feature or bells and whistles that something else with a much higher price tag might offer but the overall package is excellent, sound quality is excellent. The TFT display is surprisingly good and I'm very pleased using it as my daily device several hours a day on the go for both work and play. It's delivered everything I've needed and has plenty of features that I'm extremely happy with this device. Next to my Nvidia Shield this is the second best tech purchase I've ever made that I've been the most satisfied with.
Day before yesterday i bought S6 lite 2022 version for my 6-year old. I was confused between S6 lite and iPad 9th gen. Then finally decided to go for S6 lite. Reasons behind my decision:
1. I don’t need to pay extra to get that stylus, which is important for drawing or taking notes
2. We can extend memory as per need
3. Cheaper price
4. A better look, slim and slick design
5. Better rear camera
6. Even if Samsung stops OS support, in android, I think we still can install and update apps for another couple of years at least

I was an iPad fan until I bought a Tab S7+, I still love ipads but I'll be back when Apple achieve the same multitasking level present in Android/OneUI. There some scenarios when apps feel better on iOS but I'm ok doing the sacrifice with the productivity stuff that Samsung offers with the Galaxy Tab. It depends on the ecosystem you love but I'm impressed with Samsung products lately.
between the iPad 8 and tab s6 lite it was a hard decision to make but I finally made up my mind and got the tab s6 lite. I mainly got it to start up my gaming UA-cam channel to edit videos and get into animation as well. So far the tab s6 lite has done wonders for me the quality is good editing videos with different apps is great and the video resolution is smooth imo when watching my game recordings or just watching Netflix. Without looking into it first I'm glad I got my money's worth.

I love the S6 Lite. It is much lighter, half the price on iPad. Most important of all, I can easily share photos and MP3 with my windows pc. Apple is greedy, charging a fortune for storage space.
Another great comparison video, I love my s6 lite for xbox on the go. You really can't beat the s6 for how much you get for your money.

4:21 just some constructive criticism, games almost always run at native resolution on Apple devices and lower on Android (even on flagships), so I don't think showing PUBG's interface is the best example of difference in display quality as it's more to do with the lack of optimization on Android

I really love the display on the S6 Lite and the Performance on iPad 8. But Apple has now Announced the iPad 9, It would be better to wait for iPad 9 because the price is same with twice the storage. (I don’t have a lot of information about the Samsung tab because I’m a huge fan of Apple)
At this point, I would definitely wait. Then see if the iPad 8 drops in price to justify getting it. Otherwise, like you said, the 9 is a great option because you'll be getting more for the same amount of money.

Just a quick note, there are multiple apps available for Android devices that allow you to use your device as a second screen for a PC or laptop.

Hi! Can u please tell me what problems u against while u using s6 lite? Bcs i've seen many comments said that s6 lite is laggy and the pencil(?) Isnt working or something...
I had to decide between those two tablets as well and I think the S6 Lite has some advantages for me personally (like better speakers, laminated display), but I can't deny I prefer the aspect ratio of the iPad especially in portrait mode. The S6 Lite really looks quite narrow and I'm not sure how it will affect browsing or reading PDFs for me. :/ On the other hand it's better for watching videos or films and that's what I mostly do with my current tablet. In the end I ordered the S6 Lite mainly because right now the 128 GB LTE version is about $400 in my country, whereas the 128 GB LTE versio of the iPad 8 with Pencil (which I need) is $760. That's nearly double the price and I couldn't really justify spending that tbh. I will see how I'll like the S6 Lite, I hope it lives up to its promise of good value for money!
I feel the same about the aspect ratio -- the S6 Lite looks quite narrow for taking notes. I just ordered it, so I'll see how I'll like it. How is it for you though?
@@celecha it's quite fine for me so far! But I have to admit I currently don't do much note taking on it. I mostly do occasional sketches and little annotations on photos and screenshots, which is why I use the s-pen a lot, but I haven't yet had to do classic note taking or PDF annotation. But I think the narrow aspect ratio is less of an issue for notes, where you can customise your "paper" and font size, than possibly with PDFs.

@@ola14771 I just use the Samsung Notes app, but I don't do that much note taking, just occasionally, so it suffices for me. It looks pretty good though, with a lot of functions.

I was looking at an ipad 8, but after seeing the s6 lite I feel like it has all the benefits I need especially for a laptop replacement.
Right now I wouldn‘t consider the iPad 8 anymore and instead would rather buy the new iPad 9. The decision on which tablet to choose also depends in my opinion which ecosystem I‘m already in.
If I for an instance check out all the apps I already payed for I would think twice before I switch from Apple to Samsung/Google!
i have an iphone and a macbook and really wondering if i should stick to apple to for the tablet, or make the switch to android (will primarily be used for note-taking and downloading ebooks)
@@mariadelbarrio9300 I would stick with Apple as you’re already in the Apple ecosystem. You probably also have already bought apps for your iPhone that you can use on the iPad as well and the price difference between a good Android tablet and an iPad 9th gen isn‘t that big of a deal. If there‘s not a special app that you need that is only available on Android I would choose the iPad over an Android tablet.
This comparison would be good for anyone who isn't married to one ecosystem or OS, but I'm team Android (with 5 years iOS experience) and happily went with the s6 lite.
I have an iPhone and the S6 Lite, no problems. My previous tablet before this was an iPad, but I was using a Samsung Galaxy note
I recently “thought” I wanted to switch from iOS to Android so, I switched phones, tablets and watches. I can’t really explain it but, with iOS, everything just seems to flow better. Ended up switching back.
Ditto, but the opposite here. I guess once you get used to one system or the other, switching to another will never be satisfying.
I'm Samsung Android, older additions and PC. Wife is apple everything. Her network is better on its own. I never can't find a solution. She's more comfortable, I'm more productive. Apple updates are much better. Samsung, Android, PC wider utility range until something quits.

Very functional with the benefits and freedom of Android. One UI makes the experience better.
Samsung does not offers long last O.S suport as you said - I have a Samsung Tab that upgraded only 2 times and now it’s just a “E-book”reader for me. I have a iPad Air 2 bought in 2015 with 64Gb and it’s running the newest IOS very smooth. Thiat said, my next tab defently will be a iPad Air 4 or the new iPad 9 - but with more than 64Gb that I have now.
Nice video. Sadly this video wasn’t around when I bought ipad 8 early this year. I love the s6lite so much but where I am from no store had s6lite for me to try in person. Ended up getting the ipad8 and I am happy with it but I wish I could try the s6 lite.

I've watched a few iPad Vs S6 lite videos and do find it very interesting that there isn't a "clear" recommendation by anyone I've seen. I'm more of an android man phone wise, and also use Chromebooks so am naturally drawn towards the s6 lite. However the big drawback for me is the support life. (I'm actually trying to find a S6 but finding it pretty difficult tbh - very few on ebay and can't find in any shops)

I think you just buyed one tablet in this 5 months, but if not, i'd recommend you the iPad. My Tab S6 lite is very laggy, you can only do basics on it. The Dex Mode is just Android in another theme, not professional, but the iPad has professional programs for real work. iMovie, GarageBand, Goodnotes and more. After 2-3 years of using a Tab S6 lite, i'll switch to the iPad Air 5. The basic iPad is a pretty good deal aswell.

I think the iPad 9 is on point and I got my iPad 8th generation last year lmao! I love the new selfie cameras now! Makes it more usable for FaceTime and etc! I love iMessages and everything I have is on apple and I use a Dell laptop at work. Androids have great screens but a lot of stuff is half baked!
You didn't mention that on Ipad OS, transfering files, from the Ipad to a computer, or from a computer to the Ipad is pain in the A**. Sometimes there ar workaround, but sometoimes not...It is much easier on an Android device.
I agree. It took me over a month to get my music and other files on an iPad pro. I sold it and bought the s7+ and it took me exactly 22 minutes to move the same files to it.
I appreciate the perspective. It depends on your ecosystem - if you're on a Mac or have an iphone, you can use Airdrop which is amazing. But moving files to a PC is less convenient.

You can use Quick share in a samsung ecosystem as well.
Even with airdrop, some apps don't let you transfer files as you would do on a windows based system or on Android.
Before buying iPad 8th generation, I was thinking about buying S6 lite , but didn’t buy as I wanted to try Apple so I bought iPad and I am happy with my decision. Now I look forward to move into Apple Ecosystem. 😊😊😄😄

Yes sure. I have S6 lite and even after one year it hasn’t slowed down and working very well despite having that mid range Exynos chipset.
I own two ipads. I got Samsung S6 lite. I was stunned how much user friendly Android is compared to iOS. Also, iPad is heavy, ugly and doesn't come with Stylus. ipad, just like any Apple product, robs you by NOT giving you SD card storage option, so one ends up paying 3-5 times more money for upgraded storage option!! Way to make more money by robbing customers!! Switching to Samsung for everything
True. Weird to see the big price difference in the Samsung. About a $20 card.
Going the iPad route has one major advantage. SW updates. Android tablets get tossed aside within a year or two. Just recently, Sammy announced 3 year SW updates but that only holds for Tab S7 FE and onwards, not for S6 or S6 Lite. Not getting security updates should be a big NO-NO for any long-term user!
You only get major updates for 2 years but you do get security updates longer than that
And the s6 lite got the dex so I don't really need major updates and for security those updates will still come
Watching this on my 8 months old Tab S6 Lite, I'm glad I made the correct decision....
I had both choices for purchase, but I went with S6 Lite for the S Pen and the speakers, which I don't regret at all...

I recommend the Staedtler Noris Jumbo. It's way more comfortable to hold than the s pen and erases like a real pencil. There's some reviews on here if you wanna know more! And I may be able to answer some questions if you have any :)

@Atharva Joshi. Have you noticed any lag or sluggishness in s6 lite from the day purchased? I'm in a dialema whether to choose S6 lite or the newly released Realme Pad since I can get s6 lite @22200 with corporate offer. So price difference is not much a deciding factor.
@@jobytsaju6186 No, there's no lag on the tab from the day I got it, but it depends on how you use it... I use it for lectures, note-taking, youtube and very little casual gaming, and haven't experienced any serious or small lag at all.... Overall, go for S6 Lite....

The only reason I would be spending around 100$ more on the iPad over the S6 Lite is the lagging part. As mentioned on the video the lags are noticeable now only, albeit slight. However, a year or two down the line, that would be even more frequent. Thus, iPad it is. Sadly, would have to spend around 100$ more, I wanted to get the S6 Lite for the affordability, but the SoC used kills it for me.
Hi! I would like your opinion on this thing. So I have an iPad Pro 2020. I bought it because I like to do some video editing and my old windows laptop was getting to slow to do that. Because I'm a college student, I decided to get the iPad instead of a MacBook so that I could take notes, and if there was a subject that required to have a laptop I would still be able to use my windows for simple tasks. Now, my windows computer completely broke down and I decided to get myself a MacBook Air M1. Therefore, now I only use the iPad for web browsing and taking notes, everything else (including video editing) is done on my MacBook. And that leaves me with a question: Do you think I would feel a HUGE downgrade if I sold my iPad Pro I bought the iPad 9th gen? Because I feel that I have this powerful machine that I don't use to its full potencial, and probably could do the same things on a cheaper iPad .

I probably wouldn't make that upgrade, unless I needed the new camera system or more storage.

@@siddhanthkandul6815 don't upgrade your 8th for 9th gen... 8th gen is powerful enough for now... I am still using 5th gen from 2017 and it gets the job done except intensive gaming... (Bgmi at least runs on this ipad but on lowest config good enough for 2017 tab 😀) but will be definitely upgrading to 9th gen now... 👍

for illustration i recommend using Ipad but if you want to transfer files and share and buy alot cheaper tab the s6 or s6 tab is the best choice (when buying s6 tab use penup or samsung notes these are the best for writing and drawing, and its free) (when buying ipad use goodnotes and procreate but you have to buy it for a price they offer)

Okey, so recently I wanted to get a tablet. The iPad 8 price is 350€ with the pencil and the keyboard. The Tab6 lite's price is 280€. It seems harder to mantain the apple pencil, and I don't think there's a big difference between the two. I'm taking the Tab6

The iPad has come so far over the past few years and I strongly believe it will soon become a laptop replacement. It's only a matter of time...
For so many people it can already serve that purpose. For others, it'll take desktop app support.
It will be only if Apple allows it, since they don't wanna cannibalize the MacBook sales.

What's the point in getting a non-laminated screen when Apply puts so many barriers up to prevent it from being repaired?
I'm not sure what you mean. In the US, a non-laminated display is less expensive to repair. (unless you mean repairing it yourself or through a non-apple provider)
Soo glad I went with the ipad. The ipadOS and app availability like goodnotes and procreate with low latency stylus support is just amazing.

@@shannagabrialle no, not at all. I used goodnotes to take lots of notes and I totally forgot about the non lamination. I was concerned about that before buying. You wont even notice it unless you are watching from a steep angle. Definetaly not a deal breaker.

Great video and fair comparison as always ! I got the Tab S6 Lite in October 2020 and I love it, no regrets ! It's the best value for money for students who don't want a huge amount of power imo.

Hello, i really love the way you explain the whole thing. Now i started to wonder, should 1 buy ipad 9?Or, maybe ipad 8 is enough? (i use ipad for school and drawing, and little bit of game) I havent bought any apple product before, so this will be my first-time, and also I'll use this tablet for a long time ( up to 3 years maybe) which one is more worth it?

Get the 9. Typing this from the S6 lite which I like, but if I had to get a budget tablet now I'd grab the iPad 9

screw updating to the latest OS.. the biggest point here is that samsung hardly provides security updates over 2 years after release (NOT buying). that being said you can throw it into the trash - surfing or any isn´t safe anymore
Traded my iPad 8 for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. Glad I did. Thought the S6 Lite lagged a bit. The Samsung ecosystem is much more flexible.

This is a non-technical preference; I go for Android every time and I love Samsung offerings. And the reason is simply that Apple's offerings are over-priced and suck you into their hardware and software ecosystem. Android apps are excellent.
I use my Tab S6 mainly for work, but it's also great for leisure activities and I've never found a better PIM system than Google Suite.

Actually the 2022 model made the deal sweeter. Sure when it comes to performance, the apple will blow Samsung away, but it's much better than the dreaded Exynos 9611 found in the 2020 model.
If you get it on a deal AND you have decent device to trade in, Tab S6 makes more sense than the iPad and the Apple pencil included for users like students.

It comes down to whether those features are important to you. You are compromising in either case, so it's about what makes the most sense for how you'll use the tablet. Hope that helps.
Hi All, pls don’t mislead by Dex support on s6 lite. I own s6 lite. note it Does NOT support external monitor at all (as it has only USB 2.0 (cannot connect to monitor)
That is correct - it only runs dex internally and does not allow for a multi-display setup.

the s6 lite better for reading because of better display. the ipad probably better for games. but the s6lite with expandable storage means you can buy a card and expand it and have more pdf files

I've noticed on the ipad air, tap to wake works on the entire screen when the ipad is connected to the power. When it runs on battery it works in a smaller rectangular region within the display (you have to tap around the center). Like it doesn't wake the ipad if you tap on the edges or corner of the main display when it's running on battery and laying flat down. It does work when you're holding the ipad up though Is this a feature to reduce battery consumption on an ipad?
