Thank you for keeping the community informed
That's the goal! I just hope it helps
You are a wealth of information! I'm so glad I found this channel because there aren't too many serious corn snake keepers/breeders making vids like this.
Thank you! I definitely try! The old forums are going dark one by one, and I just want to preserve as much history on morphs as I can!
I'm so excited about this one
This is a fun one!
I love the Carmel looking visuals. I'm super happy you have the Goldens I hop they become well established bc its a very beautiful mutation. I have just a Carmel motley morph. I really like the golden yellow colors. Watching your videos showcase all the different colors and patterns is a joy.
Aww that's awesome to hear! I also love the yellow morphs. My first ever breeding female was a caramel motley, and I still have her line from over a decade ago ♥️
I would love to include a golden project into my breeding plans... maybe next year, since this will be my first year breeding corn snakes!
It's very unlikely you'll find any for sale. With only maybe a handful of them in existence, it'll be a while before they're on the market
I never knew anything about Golden corns so this was a really interesting video. Sad to see the side effects of what happens to these guys though. Also, sorry if I'm being bothersome but a few months ago I made a comment explaining that I had two females who were two, almost three, years old and was unsure if I should breed them. I thought both of them were over 500 grams but my gram scale must of been on a setting I didn't know of and gave me the wrong info, because I measured one of them again a few days ago and she was only 410 grams. Last time I asked if I should breed my females you said I was good to go, and I know that by the corn rule of threes I'm pretty close to this goal, but I'm unsure if I should breed them because they aren't as over accomplished as I thought in terms of weight. My biggest is almost four feet and I haven't measured my other one because she's in blue right now, but I know she's a little bit smaller in weight and length (not by much, but it's still noticeable). I just want to make sure that when I breed them (I'm a first-timer) that I do whatever I can to minimize risk to my females, and that the time is right. On that note, thank you so much for the advice you gave on my previous comment, it helped me a lot!
400+ is still a good weight. However, it is always a risk to breed. If you aren't comfortable, waiting hurts no one 😊
