Honestly playing with someone lower than you is quite beneficial to you for training purposes. If there is something you seem to struggle / picked up new to do like say a backhand flick. It is great to play players lower your level and attempt each time when you have the chance to use the set technique you want to develop better. The ball and play is slower to your own expectations so you can easier attempt and do the things you struggle with when playing your level. Training in general is all about the mentality and focus you take it with. No matter what level you play, if you do not focus and concentrate on your game then it won't matter even if you play with Ma Long like :)
Can you do a penholder version of the pendulum? i still get confused on how to do it and the reverse version of the serve. great video by the way. easy to understand and in simple format
Thank you :) and yes I can do a pen hold style video. I will also do the “how to do reverse pendulum” serve and all of it technical aspects of serving it 🏓
Very good video. Right now I'm working on getting back to shakehand grip after the the pendulum serve grip. Most of the time I do fine - I just need to keep practicing so it becomes a more natural thing.
Yeah I feel you. If you seem to struggle with it maybe look into investing for a grip tape? That helped me when I was building up my game and also in general switching between forehand and backhand attacks were better and smoother :) How is your training coming along?
@@dublintabletennisclub A number of years ago I used a wrap that looks brown rubber band material (like a rubber band that wraps your handle). Anyway, I've two days ago I pulled those off older rackets and put them on the rackets I use now. I got them from a large US TT supplier but they have not sold those things in years now and they cannot get them anymore. At least I have 4 that remain in great shape. Training is coming along. I'm still practicing with a partner (two people - rotating) 3 times a week. Covid has ramped back up here in the States and where I live wearing a mask is required indoors again when in a public place. No lockdown expected. Stay safe and well and play pong!
Great video and channel 👍👍👍Wow - going to this grip really helps with the pendulum serve to keep the ball short. But I really struggle to transition into shakehand grip in time for the returning ball. Can you offer some tips?
Keep rocking I’m picking up what u r laying down!!! Lefty USA
thanks 😊
If you have any further questions let me know as I never shy away from tt coaching!!
As a half brit, this is the best video I have ever watched
haha and the other half? Have you tried it during your training sessions? Let me know your feedback :)
Impressive! Very beautiful video! Great explanation. A very good tip is the one with the middle finger on the handle. Thank you and stay healthy.
Thank you for your comment :) Same to you and good luck at training!!
Coach , Does playing with a noob player effects your game ?

@@CFSUnravelled1 Eddy at Dublin will give you more help but I try to make returning to shake-hand grip part of the motion once I hit the serve.
