The adele one was beautiful as it was 2 different eras of adele and the second one has shown us how she improved and mastered her voice throughout the years.
Pleeeaase guys stop that supported range nonsense :) there is no such thing in vocal pedagogy, it’s a made up term. Support is a breath control technique that helps you to sustain longer notes and sing longer phrases on one breath (and is also helpful in your overall breath control, e.g. for staccati and messa di voce), but it has absolutely nothing to do with the pitch of a note. If you can support, then you can support all of your range sung with vocal fold closure (which means all of your chest range, mix range and head voice range, only falsetto and whistle are sung without vocal fold closure and can, thus, not be supported)
Although the term “support” is kinda subjective, I will say that I don’t think Taylor’s second A4 is supported either lmao. The placement is still just awful. She def sounded like a tortured poet tho

I'd rather not say "supported" because you can still strain with "support". Free note VS. Strain (since you had disclaimer) But also could've added mote details such as labeling tensed/strain/flat/shouted. Great video anyways, there's room for improvement!
The concept itself is flawed, you can’t hear a slight difference in note execution and call a note “strained” Mostly it’s VERY slight difference due to fatigue, bad breath, illness and so on, mostly it’s not related to vocal technique itself
You seem to have not really watched the video, I put a disclaimer on the intro saying that certain/most notes aren't actual strain, it can be as much as minimal tension or just a note being unsupported. I'm just fitting them in because it's content.
@@addictedtovocals Oh, I saw that, it’s just important to notice that all those moments aren’t something fundamental, cause I remember times when everyone was stupidly throwing this word around and it created so many fanwars, used to be a very hot topic In general, support isn’t as important as you think it is. Majority of tension comes from 1)Undeveloped technique in general 2)Singing outside your comfort zone 3)Illness or some chronic issues affecting the voice (nodules, bad technique, GERD etc)
@@addictedtovocals so is with the "support"; notes can be supported and strained at the same time, some examples of that in here are Demi, Mariah and Kelly in the so called strained notes, they're still supported but not well placed or have fatigue. It's not really black or white.

mastered is a strong word
But she still has problems with vocal cords

Adele’s support clip was so good! That vibrato was awesome! She’s singing so much better than she used to!
