14 years have passed and I still cry every time I listen to this song. I was still in junior high school at that time and playing Kingdom Hearts 2 game on PlayStation 2. I was in middle school when Kingdom Hearts came out. My brother and I had recently played Final Fantasy 7 and 8 as our first JRPGs ever. Then we saw FF characters and Disney was doing some weird mashup and knew we had to play. little did we know it was gonna be the furthest thing away from being a gimmick, and i have yet to find another game with music, themes, emotions and so much more as good as this. i’ve played things like nier automate and ffvii crisis core growing up and even some tales games so i’ve seen great games but maaaan something special about kingdom hearts 1 and 2 that will just be impossible to replace
