Good vid, we've had one of these for a few seasons now, having tried a few different shade options. Brilliant bit of kit. I would recommend sliding into the awning rail first, then inserting the fibre poles. Takes less than 5 mins to erect once you know how. Never figured out how to attach the side walls using the parts supplied - still a mystery!

Tried your suggested technique Paul and found it quick and easy to set up in the rain. Top tip, well received thank you!

Just noticed we have same one. Great bit of kit, packs away nicely and easy to stow. I just about managed to put it up on my own with a cast on my lower leg so very easy to use.

We have been very pleased to have ours with us on our latest trip, having found it preferable in rainy conditions to the wind out awning. The domed roof avoids the pooling of water issue nicely.

I haven’t seen the sidewalls, but they would be a good addition.

Nice piece of kit. Your van exterior is so similar to our VW Coast. Keep up the good work. :)

Great video, just a tip from a seasoned camper & professional! try not to walk over the canopy whilst on the ground. It will, without you knowing, pierce it and allow water intrusion caused by your weight onto a ground based sharp! Every day is a learning curve. Hope the advice is taken in the way its been offered. Incidentally I would have had this on a 6 berth motorhome rather than the wind out thule, which are good for sun but useless in rain and should never be left unattended.

Thanks Paul. Great point about stepping on the canopy, and thanks for reminding us ! We have found with the wind out Thule style awning you need quite an incline in them when it rains to aid drainage, the beauty of this Reimo being the domed roof. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. Cheers JT

Thanks for nice review! A have read somewhere, that there is a problem even with little wind because of dome construction of this canopy. Have you notice this? Thanks so much

Thanks for watching, remember to subscribe if you enjoy my videos,. Our awning came with pegs so we would always peg the feet and use the supplied guy lines if it looked breezy. The style is wing like I guess but the huge benefit of it shedding rain as a result is not to be underestimated! JT

Getting some great shots of your van in this video. Have you lowered it? If so what did you use and what are those wheels? Find it improved the ride/both loaded and unloaded? Van looks awesome

Thanks for watching Rob and your comments! Van is not lowered but on 17” Dezent wheels with MichelinAgilis cross climate tyres, chunky but not too off-road in look or dynamics. Ride is good and traction excellent in all weathers. Thanks for watching remember to subscribe if you enjoy my videos! JT

    Excellent idea.
The T rail on the Off side of the Callie is bigger than the usual Kador strip and I know that Brandrup (in their water carrier) use two sizes of kador to achieve a good fit in the rail. How do you connect to the accessory rail? Also can the item be used or adapted to work with the kador rail in the wind out awning allowing for an extension to it OR to be used as an awning when rain is threatening as the Callie awning does collect rain and would only need to be partially extended to access the kador rail.
I'd be tempted to try making a smaller version that just shades the window at the sink/cooker so that the window can be shaded or used as a rain hood (Brandrups version is 65 Euro)

Hi Andrew, thanks for watching and your feedback. You are correct the T rail is slightly larger than normal which we found when we first used the Canopy with the California. It was little confusing as on our previous T5 Kombi conversion we had no problem...There is some excess fabric which at the moment we tuck over the Kador strip to slide in to the rail, this pads out enough for a more secure fit. An Adaptor strip would be the perfect solution if we used all the time. With regards to your point about the wind out awning I have not tried the sun canopy with that as yet, I'll give it a go and report back...
Thanks again for watching, remember to subscribe if you've enjoyed my videos and share with anyone else who you may think would be interested !

Yep, once you are familiar with it, it is certainly possible to get up in 15 minutes. Easier with two pairs of hands...! Thanks for watching, JT

We bought ours from Wessex vans in Poole who converted our first VW T5 van. Search Reimo sun canopy online and I expect you’ll be able to find a supplier. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment. JT
