I don't even remember who was there in recovery and no one told me anything. I woke up and they told me surgery was done and they'll move me to my room soon, which was a few minutes later. I got details about surgery that night from the senior resident who was assisting. I never saw the surgeon again before I was released two days later.

I remember nothing about the recovery room, other than waking up when they were moving me & had to stop because my room wasn't quite ready. On route to room, I sort of recall hoping I was completely covered as it felt like I was being wheeled past 1000's of people LOL. When we arrived at the room, I remember them telling me to move over to the bed, I still felt completely rubbery & terrified that I was going to rip open in half LOL (I'm also a lightweight...1 drink and I'm done). When I said I couldn't move, 1 of the nurses said "it'll hurt a lot more if we have to move you" - that terrified me enough to move to the other bed, then I was out like a light again until some resident woke me up the next morning. Still have no idea who she was, and sadly never saw my surgeon again. Shame, because I loved her & was really hoping to see her before I left.

Don't you think that a person might respond better if their spouse or a loved one is there for them. We don't know any of those in recovery. We know and trust our spouse.

MS KS they can come in just a bit later. You also won’t really remember things for a while anyways. Usually you’re still pretty drugged up and it takes a while to snap out of it

@@girldavid I myself want my spouse also and no opposite gender in area I am in. I remember waking up and seeing opposite gender patients exposed. I also do not want opposite gender staff viewing me exposed.

FL DP you “remember” waking up, that doesn’t mean you weren’t already awake, when you first came out of the o.r. Immediately after surgery you won’t remember

@Bella S, no that is not okay if the patient requested her daughter to be there with her then they need to do what the patient says so they can be comfortable No and I mean No one will ever get in the way of me seeing my mom and if they do they will get a fight on their hands and this is a stupid bitch talking she is a bitch for coming in between a loved one and their love why can't just one person go in and see the patient especially if it was her daughter who helps her mom out all the time, so yea I hate her and everyone else keeping me from my mom.

You should report her and file a complaint with the hospital. Don't let her get away with that. If that happened to me, there would be hell to pay.😡😡😡
