This video took longer than expected. I was procrastinating a lot and wasn't sure if I should even make the video, perhaps the subject wasn't interesting enough or I simply didn't go too much in depth. I still hope you enjoyed this video, as at the end of the day, time and effort was put into this! aubade is my favorite song of all time and i cried the first time i heard a highway got paved over my future. album is just fucking amazing i've looped it so many times, and even though i cant relate to adam at many points, when i can its the hardest ive ever related to a piece of music before. seriously saved my life and helped me accept and embrace my negative emotions. a little sad you didn't say anything about the last ~60 seconds of Highway since its easily my favorite moment in music, but u made up for it by mentioning cant run away was ur favorite song off the album because that song is honestly amazing and so genuine and gut wrenching, it's easily one of my favorites too and a standout pick. great album, great video!!
I’ll stand by the fact that The Brave Little Abacus is one of the most unique bands out there, and no matter what, there will never be one to replace it. The way they created such emotions through their sounds is amazing. It truly has a charm that can never be captured by anyone else. Finding BLA and their creations is such an agonizing beauty, being able to share such painful, yet emotional and vague ideas is unforgettable. I can’t deny that I haven’t cried to their songs.
Oh my gosh untitled cont is my favorite song of all all time, when the piano comes in i get so emotional unlike any other song. The lyrics are so beautiful too. I want to make midwest emo too.
This is a great video! Just wanna give some information: 1. The person screaming "its these ideas that waste all my time" isn't actually Adam's, it is someone named Rory, and he appears at the last show performing the lines as well. (ua-cam.com/video/WQfzPLm8_zY/v-deo.html ) 2. Allston, Mass was where he was staying to record that part of the blah blah blahs and ended up using a cassette tape (I think he recorded it?) of a guitar that only had 2 or 3 strings on it. He originally wasn't gonna keep this song on but he kept it on the album because it sounded otherworldly to him compared to the rest of the album. The dates was how long he stayed and when he recorded it. (ua-cam.com/video/eEZj8SXNvcQ/v-deo.html )
I truly appreciate the comment. As I mentioned in the video, it was already difficult enough to find additional information… or just information in general. Except for the few basic things about the band, there truly wasn’t much out there I found. Thanks!!
I appreciate, but looking now at it I definitely would’ve remade it differently. I feel like I didn’t gave enough info about the band and the video felt very subjective, instead of giving a more objective view about it. Not talking much about the band’s history, like you did, felt like if someone that doesn’t know about BLA watches this video, doesn’t have reasons to care like I do. You definitely did it right and made an amazing video
