I once did a Sicilian campaign where i went pirate colonial & it was during that update with broken concentrate development so I played with only that island in Europe
Man says at the end "Normal Looking Europe", as Navarra eats Aragon, Venice Eats Austria, big Sienna (well, for Sienna), and Hungary is a OPM. All of this by 1505. 😂
here is tip for yazd. before opening the game on steam right click on eu4. hover your mouse over manage. move it to the right and down and click uninstall then a popup will ask if you want to uninstall and press yes.
I remember having a game before the emperor patch where I kicked Siena out of Italy but they managed to end up in Africa and they went absolutely crazy and annexed all of West Africa and became a great power it was wild.
Love the videos TRH, keep them coming. I really enjoy this series too, releasables are fun! Side note, I really had a hard time getting the hang of this game, until i watched your Florence guide. I've been able to wrap my head around it finally. I even ended up finishing up as Italy, couldn't quite make it to the Roman Empire before the end though, very fun game!
I’ve had one game where Milan did well, I was Austria and gave them their cores back from Venice, 20 years later they had conquered all of northern Italy
Yadz seems like it could have an unexpectedly good start. If I'm remembering right, don't their overlord's other subjects become disloyal when its starting ruler dies? It looks as though there'd be potential to join those tags in a full-blown group rebellion.
At 5:52, you use the "max money" shift-click strategy, but it incorrectly takes you to 102% peace value, and the "Send Demand" button is greyed out. Despite this, the value automatically changes to 100% again just before you click "Send Demand". Was this thanks to a new patch? I've never seen that before, but it'd be very nice to have that fixed. I hated that the "maximum possible money" button put you over 100% sometimes (I think it happened when your opponent had surrendered unconditionally). This isn't an accusation in any way, I genuinely don't know. I also found it a bit odd that you didn't muscle-memory to check and reduce the money gained to get it back to 100%, but again maybe I've just had a different experience with the bug.
Ironic I just started a Venice game not to long ago. Idk why but it has been the most efficient and well played game I had ever. Which is ironic because I usually don’t like starting in Italy.
you should have gotten Athens or Epirus too in the beginning of the game, so when you were done with the ottomans you could have released Byzantium and fed it cores
Hawk, is "defensive ideas" best at the first choose if you want to focus on strong army? 15% of morales and 100% more army tradition from battles are sooo good for me, but i want to ask "master" 😃
@@Rosemarie_and_tomato movement speed is great, Fort maintenance and Fort defense bonuses are amazing aswell. Best for mountain Provinces even. Idk what you talking about..

@@eafesaf6934 It's only good in the context that you're fighting a defensive war, which most of the time you win wars by going on the offence. It has its place, just that place isn't very valuable.
I was just wondering but do you think you can do a native guide on like caddo or something? Imo you have the easiest to understand guides and I really loved your Castile one.
Basically in that period the capital shifted back and forth between Palermo and Messina, Catania was the only city with a University, and Syracuse was the city with the most religious power in Sicily. 😅
Man I would have taken quality but if I use boats at all I can’t help myself. I’m also not as good as RH. Why would a tiny nation return some of their only cores for just favors? It does hurt them I would imagine quite significantly. I like the feature but in cases like these I feel like it’s kind of unrealistic. It should be weighted differently when it’s a situation like this.
Because especially early in the span of time the game covers, there wasn't really a concept of 'nations.' Think of it less like the nation of Navarra giving land to the nation of Catalonia, but instead it's the ruler of Naples convincing the ruler of Navarra to return the rightful land of Catalonia back to the Catalonian people. Core or not, at this point in time the Navarrese wouldn't think of it as their land, they'd think of it as Catalonian land and people under the control of their crown.
man you never succeeded in the bring back Sassanid empire do it this time by Yazd. of course we know last Sassanid heirs went to Japan and still are there, why not find them?
as an iranian im waiting for yazd vedeo and i think its not so hard caz u have to be the timurids vassal and when shahrukh dies u can go free easily then fight balouchistan and be a big country
yeah its fully vanilla so you get all achievements and the 100% crownlands is a visual bug or something because after your unknown status ends, it goes down to 75% crownlands
The main thing to remember when it comes to alliances and delayed call to arms is that if you make it so that a country is partnered with you in a war and you attack one of their allies, even though they can’t join due to the conflicting wars, they will still get a call to arms which will be automatically declined, thus breaking the alliance. Thus, when you peace out of your first war you don’t have to worry about their old ally joining them because there is no alliance anymore
Doesn't the alliance stay until your ally finishes the war they called you into, and then your enemy calls in your ally to arms? Which the AI usually accepts. France literally did this to me yesterday after I helped them against England and declared on Genoa mid-war 🤦♂
That is not true, the alliance remains and you have to peace out the second war before the first one if you don't want your ally to join the enemy. What happened in this campaign is castile broke their alliance with Tunis before he declared, he just didn't realize it
live stream cam format is distracting. :/ It'd make more sense if it was a play through where reactions and pausing the game to talk about moves or what not was valuable.

zoroastrian one faith, only option
Definitely see if you can stage your rebellion alongside Timothy's other subjects to maximise the chance of success.
form persia and make the shirvanwonder tier3 and have all holysites of zorastrian underdirect controll
Get all holy zoroastrian sites
I know you don't form another country but , just for the zoroastrian way , please , form Persia .

Good memories. I’ll never forget The Knights with a development in the triple digits whilst only owning Rhodes along with colonial nations

Fuck yeah.
And they said there were too many Alexandrias.
We will never forget about Dali
Dali's gonna become a meme for the channel at this rate.
Didn't know they had those ideas. I'm going to play Sicily game myself. Also, don't beat Laith too much. He can't help it!

Another great video but one thing puzzles me: do you ever use "expand infrastructure" when you're dev-ing an institution?
Wow, that was a wonderful video, and sicily being called sicily. So nice i just hope that sicily is sicily in eu5 and not Trinacria

You should’ve developed twice so you could beat Poland on the great powers list lol
It should be pretty easy to get independent as Yazd, but then having to fight the other timurid vassals and the timurids might be a bit iffy
Nice video, would love a sequel!
We need a guide for Sicily in Eu4. Plz
Should've released Florence as a vassal after annexing them, they had so many provinces
dude i just want you to continue this compaign to see otto vs muscovy
you should have gotten Athens or Epirus too in the beginning of the game, so when you were done with the ottomans you could have released Byzantium and fed it cores
whenever i tried to play yazd i could only get them to be shia instead of zoroastrian. how do i fix that?
Can you do an updated guide on Austria? I was trying to follow your guide but it seems a handful of thigs are out of date
