I had a game once where the Iberian Wedding didn't happen, and Castile was there from 1444 to the end of my game in 1821. It was very unusual. I think it happened to you too, but I haven't watched the rest of the video yet.
I've had them just never form Spain even after the wedding for some reason, I looked away and when I looked back half of Iberia was Portugal. I still have absolutely no idea what happened there
@@tuxtitan780 Castile I'm pretty sure needs Granada and Madrid, provinces like that to form Spain, so if Portugal took those provinces, Spain couldn't form, assuming Portugal took rhose cities
the morst cursed game I ever had was one where Muscovy vassalised Novgorod and Mamluks beat the ottomans both respectivelly then growing massive and having lots of bordergore in the persia/levant/anatolia they have nearly the same color and it was very annoying

There are a couple provinces in Italy that are CoT with Silk as their trade good and farmlands. If you hold those with milanese or tuscan ideas. Max innovative. Economic ideas, dev edict, renaissance, HRE reforms, and world port make them way over 100% reduction in dev cost. I played an ultra tall campaign stacking them all once and it was insane
I wanna play with this mod and stack dev cost modifiers to the sky as a free city, just see where I can take it lmao. Also the link in the description leads to Chant of the Unknown, is that intentional?
I wish the dev mapmode was more colourblind friendly. I was heavily depending on Chewbert to tell me where dev is because I just can't see the green at all. Great video though!
Suggestion: Step 1: All province development is doubled. Step 2: All nations with more than one province, but less than 100 dev, gets deleted. Step 3: All resource values are doubled. Step 4: All nations gain 1 base colonist. Step 5: Speed 5, unpause.
Pre-video thoughts after the premise: The explanation didn't s ay anything about removing the ability to *decrease* dev costs, given that I suspect that, the Netherlands will have a ridiculously stupidly dev'd capital, assuming it forms. If it doesn't form than I am unsure, I don't actually know what the best set of national ideas/religion combo in the base game is for dev cost reduction.
My guess goes to Korea. Even with scaling modifiers they def like crazy. Thanks to their Inward perfectionism they are quite pacifistic and get a high dev reduction. I had games where they improved their land so much, that they embraced renaissance.
Bet is on Constantinople. Will edit comment when video finished. Edit 1: 10:20 Guessing Paris' dev at 136 Edit 2: Was almost exactly 100 off. I count that as a win in my book. Edit 3: Reached the end of the video. Had a good start, but I underestimated France's ability.
It would be interesting to see a strong Japan at some point, I just find it a bit sad that most games it's just them fighting themselves 90% of the game. It would be interesting to have a colonial major in the eastern world
I disagree with the statement that oda has the best military ideas. I think oda has by far the most well rounded ideas in japan with militarily and econmically beneficial ideas. But shimazu has to take the cake as the prussia of japan 😄
Reminds me of when leviathan came out and every major would have a crazy developed capital.
The good old days 🥲
Which patch do I need to revert to to experience the 1k capital craziness? (I went on a break from eu4 and missed all the fun)
@@Infidi 1.31.x
that was fun
As broken as that patch was it sure was fun
I find Wu taking Kyushu from Japan and deciding to flip their name to be as close to UWU as they can get way funnier than I should

EU4 but all new world nations exist in 1444 (E.g United States, Canada, Australia etc.)
And their main culture and religion is a native one, like Inuit Totemist Canada, etc

Did you mean Cloth?
Reminds me of the mission exploit that allowed players to complete the same mission as many times as possible before the save tick.
There are actually a couple provinces in China that start at 31 and 33 dev, think it is Beijing and Hangzhou
I'm guessing that coal provinces are gonna have a lot of dev, I know AI love deving those even if they have to pay like 100 mana per dev
I wanna play with this mod and stack dev cost modifiers to the sky as a free city, just see where I can take it lmao. Also the link in the description leads to Chant of the Unknown, is that intentional?
Release this as a mod, I'm curious how it can be used in play
The fact that WU managed to be the winner of the collaspe of king is something surprising

My guess: 237, a number I pulled completely out of my ass. Holy shit.

256 Paris
I didnt think think I overrated it
Hey Chewbert, which Mod do you use in order to change the map projection in the bottom corner?
I guessed 227 for Paris, was 10 off

I'm guessing Paris is around 100 because it's greener than 93 Venice was, maybe around 110 - bc it's later
boy was i wrong
You should do Victoria 3 but all countries are either in one market or all countries have an open market.
What is the UI mod used here? Province UI looks nice
Eu4 but there's no culture conversation cost
I'd say Shimazu rivals Oda's military ideas
bro forgot to show great powers list at 1821 date
Is this like a mod? If so can you link it?
How can i do it in my game? Is it a mod os a change in the game files?
Do you upload this game file or mods anywhere? I would love to play some of them
Btw Good video really enjoyed it
65 ducats a month from Paris alone. that's hilarious
It be interesting to play the AI with this mod.
Wu got so powerful it literally became UW
if you wanna take this idea to the next level Chewy, EU4 but every province costs only 1 mana to dev

What if all buildigns were free? And maybe unlimited building slots.
Awesome video ! Can you pls correct the link to the mod in the descritpion ? It doesn't lead to the right mod. :(
NOOOO!!!!!!!!
MY SWEET BENGAL!
I’m too sick to come up with a creative province choice to root for, so I’ll just root for Ulm.
Paris I bet has 234 Development (for the guess at 11 minutes)
257 dev for Paris
SO CLOSE DAMN
It would be interesting to see a strong Japan at some point, I just find it a bit sad that most games it's just them fighting themselves 90% of the game. It would be interesting to have a colonial major in the eastern world
My guess for Paris at 10:20 is about 213
Edit: ok, I did not anticipate THAT
Imagine 5 mana per development in every province
Of course Oda would be the Prussia of Japan, one of their historical leaders is fucking Nobunaga.
The AI LOVES a coal mine
I like how everyone except France ended up falling apart XD
And they were trash early, so annoying 😂
is it possible to get this mod? sounds fun as hell
"Wu even took this island at the coast of China "

EU IV but ruler mana stats + traits are x5?
EU4 but every nation has maxed out mana points throughout the whole game
Finnaky bengal is no more.
Probably somewhere in HRE
