Building raised beds with hardware cloth undersides to prevent gopher attacks might seem extreme .. but when a homestead income stream is threatened by rodents, some sacrifices must be made. This is the third year of using hardware cloth to deter gophers, and it has protected these areas well, so far.

I sliced Garlic summer sausage today, and we use Garlic butter on many of our sandwiches!
I estimate I eat a clove a day, on average during the months that the mosquitos are out. The pests will come in because they see the color, smell the CO2, but they don't like the taste. Good thing for us, garlic is yummy in so many things 😋

I have just received my order from Keene Garlic of 24 different varieties. Would you like me to send you some? I’m content with two cloves of each kind, which leaves me some to share. I can include them with the maypops. I checked the maypops today and they are not quite ready yet.

So many of my people here are so dumb(including me),concentrating on working for money instead of creating value, creating value means we're no longer dependant on the market, and our produce will be more nutrient dense. Imagining a yummy garden salad with lilies,dahlias or some other edible flower, you're on it Jason!😁👍When you showed us the garlic you're gonna plant,you mention your love of your life(Mary),meaning she doesn't like garlic and if you have garlic on your breath there is no way on earth she'll be letting you kiss her?!!😂😉
Oh no .. she likes garlic herself .. I was just pondering: I wouldn't take trash out for money, but I would build elaborate raised beds with wire cloth under them to protect garlic and onions for money .. so does that mean I love my wife more, or less than garlic?
