Meet Inchy the Inchworm.
Inchworms are the larvae of geometer moths, which belong to the Geometridae family. Their common names are measuring worms, loopers, and spanworms.
Inchworms are named for their unique movement style, which involves looping and lunging. This is because they lack appendages in the middle of their bodies, causing them to move like they are measuring the ground. Inchworms have three pairs of front legs and either two or three pairs of rear pro legs.
They typically live for one year, from egg to death, but the development can vary depending on the variety.
Many fly anglers fish with inchworm fly patterns throughout the summer and fall. They are an extremely productive lure through those months.

Absolutely incredible... using a BRUSH for material made my day. I am constantly looking at everyday items for the same purpose. My wife has stopped asking why, and now shows me things I haven't seen. Thank you for being so inspirational.

Thank you. I've been tying waxworms, craneflies, and inchworms with the broom bristles since the late 1990's. My only claim to fame for creating my own fly tying technique 👌
