im so sad this show is nearly over but grateful for netflix giving us the rest of the story also perfectly edited as always
We still have 8 more episodes of 5 and season 6 next year. But I totally understand I could watch what 18 seasons of this instead of Greys Anatomy now. Don't get me wrong loved the show when it had McSteamy and McDreamy but got to a point couldnt take it. Lucifer SO MANY stories could be told.

The scene with Earl "God" Johnson was really one of the most powerful Lucifer/Samael moments. when he's face to face with his "father" and you get to see all that built up hurt. You see the child that had once been cast out and the adult the has become, but the pain and suffering, has never been attended to from anyone. Lucifer had always carried this cross alone, tossed away, discarded into another realm where he could easily be left to rot alone. I want this again. I don't want a lovey-dovey family reunion. I want that confrontation, that tension, that emotional outburst, the pain and suffering to surface and to really show. I hope for something like that to happen in S5b. We'll see. For now, once again, wonderful editing!! Thank you so much!

Yes, THIS is how villains are made, when good people are wrongly accused to be evil, constantly bullied as if they deserved it whereas they don't, and never ever let a chance to prove they're good, to the point where they don't even see a purpose in trying to prove it anymore and just give up on all humanity and goodness...
...and THIS is the proof of how strong and good is Lucifer, since he never surrendered to evil or gave up on goodness and love! What if, ultimately, God had made him the devil because he knew that Lucifer was the only one of his children able, the only one strong and good enough, to do it without giving up on his goodness and turn to evil?!
Once again a great video, beautiful song, clever visual effects and awesome choice of extracts and quotes to show how his anger, bitterness, sometimes violence, but also doubt and sadness don't mean that he is bad.

@@knightvision1228 yes his dark side is awesome at some point but I heard that show is about redemption so he could be an angel who he was before he fell from Heaven. I heard also that his Lighbringer side could be badass because of him being also an Angel of justice. I saw such signs in s3 when his devil face gone and he went to Ella's brother to talk to him. During that conversation I saw his eyes flashing white for a moment. I think authors are going to do something epic with his angel self maybe in s5 part 2 or at least in s6

God this is beautiful, the angel cast in the role of the adversary, made to play the part of the king of evil and lies despite being the one who never lies and punishes the evil, punished for daring to question his father, our lightbringer forever blamed for the evils of humanity, used as our excuse, our scapegoat (pun totally intended), I know he has sort of forgiven his father but God has a lot to answer for, I can't wait for part B.

I'm beginning to wonder if God sent Lucifer to hell knowing that he was strong enough to stay true to himself and still be a good man. Lucifer may have made some mistakes, but if Michael had gone to Hell instead, I don't think he would have done as well. Which is kind of odd considering he draws out people's fears. You'd think that would come in handy in hell.

As it is Lucifer basically has everyone imprisoned by their own regrets and if they can break free of the clay feet they had in life they can have another chance but had Michael gotten in charge of hell no chance of redemption ever

Don't know how many times now I've seen this vid. This is one of your best ones, for sure! This is the very essence of the show itself, the path of redemption. That there might be a reason why what is considered evil is evil to begin with. That there might be a true angel underneath the monster. And that those on the dark path that show genuine desire to be good & reach for the light should be forgiven & receive all the help & support needed to reach the light. I watched all the Lucifer shows from Season 1 to 5A
5 times and waiting on 5B. And I might watch all them all over. Tom Ellis is awesome. So are the rest of the cast. And the writers are great.

This was such a great surprise! Thank you! I get so irritated when people blame the Devil for "making them" do bad things. I believe in personal responsibility. Lucifer gets the blame for all of our sins? Nah. Take ownership of your own sins. When people are sent to Hell, in this world of Lucifer's, he has said they have a door that is unlocked. Their guilt entraps them. And the many times he has done good things, the growth he has shown to be a better being, is inspiring. The character has grown so much over the seasons. I am proud of Tom Ellis' great work. And I love this video.

@@knightvision1228 It took me a while to get through the season (Part A). I wasn't feeling it. It didn't seem to "jell." I am hopeful that the second part will be more intense, as you write. That's where I get the intensity of the show, and the shivers with the conflicts, and passion of all kinds.
I feel like a good edit for lucifer would be the song "hurt" over all of the death scenes of people he lost

lucifer is for me really a 10/10 series, so funny, so informative so many life lessons and great action along with great drama and romance with a great religious story. its even made me question if lucifer from the real bible and in the real world if he so exists is actually evil or not.
Not evil at all. Bringer of light. The misunderstanding comes from the fact that the energy tends to be felt by a lot of people. It is a global energy, so when it rolls in, a lot of people start getting over energised, and don't know how to cope. They begin to lose their temper, and their sex drive becomes overwhelming, and they do develop rebellious attitudes, etc. All the sort of negative stuff you might expect to see in a demonic possession.
The difference with the actual lightbearer, is that I learn how to control it, and get the best out of it. It gives massive benefits, physically and mentally, but the pain is felt emotionally more than anything, not that it isn't physical and mental. When Lilith has chosen a person, it is far beyond any manner of pain you can even imagine, and she doesn't give up, until you learn how to overcome it. Pushes it to its absolute limit, until it no longer registers as pain, and then aids recovery, before starting again.
Absolute faith in God is what makes it bearable. She wouldn't stop until I had given up all hope. The fantastic thing about that, is that the only way is up at that point. Everything just gets better and better. After the worst pain, far beyond anyone can even imagine, the rebound is the greatest happiness.
Ultimate result is that I try to teach people the value of faith in God, and how to cope with hardship. What to avoid doing. Which things will make you feel worse, and how to avoid them, etc. In essence, to bring the light.
Those who don't have such faith and guidance are the ones who give Lucifer a bad name. Most of us are okay though. Beelzebub is really nice, but a bit rough around the edges. Baal is lovely and charming, but he is really oversexed. Lilith is the greatest light of all, but she is also the worst bitch imaginable.
I was really sceptical about all of it. I don't know how I remained so sceptical, after mixing with demons and fae for decades. I just sort of assumed it was all psychological aberrations, so I ignored them. Once Lilith gets to work though, she doesn't stop, until all doubt is removed. She left it in no uncertain terms that we are real. My scepticism is why Samael is the angel of science amongst other titles. Also Angel of Rome would you believe, though I'm not a Catholic. Lilith says I've suffered so much that I might as well say I am Jewish. Apparently Israelite means one who wrestles with God, so it makes sense.
I consider myself mostly pagan and non denominational though. Thor/Odin were once the same thing as me. I like that. Chris Hemsworth presents a pretty solid image.

@Sean Carpenter Quite right. This is the 21st century. Everything evolves. I think Tom has done a surprisingly good job of capturing my character. I'm a lot less wild since the End of Days really started heating up. I'm hoping to relax a bit more once I get that girl to fall in love with me. She is the main motivation for seeing that the divine plan goes ahead.

I've noticed when they show other angels, hes the only one with pure white wings. I'm assuming that's because he actually is more 'good' than he realizes, but maybe I'm wrong 😊
I think it's because he is the "Lightbringer" and known to be the brightest of God's angels. Hopefully, we will see this explored more in part 2 of season 5. :)

Lucifer didn’t deserve this
There are rewards as well. Mostly though, it is about promoting a positive image. Samael has been derided for millennia. Now that we are near the end, the intention is to prove that humanity is able to judge a person objectively, based upon the things they do and say, rather than simply on some stuff they heard years ago, and didn't understand. It is a bit like how people get treated badly for being overweight or unusual looking. Admittedly, it is healthy to be thin, but it isn't nice to be nasty to people just because they aren't thin. So God spends millennia, trying to create the impression of a total villain, and then as the end of days arrives, he is supposed to be one of the heroes, but humanity needs to recognise him as such, or they are all doomed. It is hoped that you will thereby develop an ability to think for yourselves, instead of just being sheep who obey bullies.
