- To The Ends Of The Earth (Sherman-Sherman) by Nat King Cole, orchestra and chorus conducted by Nelson Riddle
On the flip side of Nat’s autumn hit “Night Lights.”
THE 1956 HITS ARCHIVE - here in one place, a good-quality library of original-release-version best-sellers and songs that made an impact that were either released or enjoyed a major chunk of their popularity within the calendar year 1956 (some were recorded in 1955).
Unbelievable performance! And Nelson Riddle...good heavens!
I remember as a child listening to WHN 1050 IN New York in the 1960,s when they would play songs from Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and many other easy listening songs, sad to say that music is long gone. For a while a Las Vegas radio station played these type of songs. Now I guess if you want these songs "Serious radio" is where you will find these type of songs.
WDEA-AM in Maine plays all the great hits...they web stream as well!
Such a sweet voice..pure liquid gold...and a great human, too!
Simply wonderful!
Thank you.
Thanks Prof! A great tune from my childhood. Flip side "Night Lights". Love it
