This is very interesting and fascinating. No to many people talk about Poles or any other Eastern Europeans being involved in American Revolution, and fighting on the side of the Colonists against the Crown. You often hear about how the Dutch and Germans fought for the Crown, along with loyalists of Scottish, English, and even a small amount Irish. Most Irish were in the brigades and regiments of George Washington. You also even hear very little about how Spanish Florida helped supply the Colonists in the south, and the French too. Thank you for sharing this video because not only is it Polish history. It’s also a nearly forgotten part of American history too. ☘️🇮🇪☘️🇵🇱🦅🇺🇸☘️

@@Geralt12HW I mean... I kind of see this way. Bill Clinton in his 1998 speech in Chilean Congress, addressing the Pinochet dictatorship ending decades of liberal democratic practices in the country, which eventually collapsed and the democracy returned (achieved a little earlier than Clinton's speech): Nobody loves liberty more than those who got it and lost it. Nobody cherishes liberty more than those who lost it and got it again. But the unspoken side, which me as a Chinese, and even an Asian (who does believe in liberal democracy), see and sigh about everyday: for those who never truly experienced freedom, they tend not have the will to defend it, even with all the tools and weapons at hand. For example, if you talk to people from mainland China about controversial topics like Hong Kong, Taiwan, Uighurs, etc. Even in the most protected environment where they will tell you the absolute true thoughts of theirs. So, from what I know about Polish history, for so long there has been no democracy or individual freedoms, which is either eroded by tyrants among the Poles, or, more commonly for the recent centuries of Poland, foreign, imperial powers. And under such systems corruption is rampant, like most dictatorships and unlike some of the more exceptional authoritarian (or illiberal) political systems, such as Singapore. In a sick sense a corrupt official might have accidentally become a national hero at least in theory. For example, what if the official policy of foreign invaders were to arrest, eradicate, purge, etc. the resistance movement, but somehow through corruption they were saved? By bribing officials? My point is especially for the older generation, I estimate that many don't really have a strong idea of liberalism and democracy, including the idea to elect truly potent & responsible political leaders, and be tough and get rid of those who're incompetent, corrupt, crazy, etc. Even if they now can easily do that legally and sort of easily, through their ballot. I see hope in the younger generation though. Even the controversial PiS, the younger generations seems to at the very least, cherish democratic and liberal norms much more than the older generation who founded it and pretty much still runs it, for example President Duda himself. For example he vetoed bills, introduced by the elder generation of legislators from the parliament, mostly his own party members & allies, which would sort of weaken the independence of the judicial branch and give the president, prime minister and even the parliament more right over the supreme court and other national courts. And also after controversially attacking LGBTQ to win a narrow election, he sort of tried to remedy that by having dialogues with LGBTQ activists and other famous people identify as LGBTQ, etc. Although most of them refused and boycotted the talks. But I think that just give Poland more time and you'll see a country & society that's way more tolerant, less corrupt, fairer, stronger and more prosperous.

@@polisheagle4346Dobra robota z filmikiem oraz ogolem calym kanalem, tak dalej! Nie moge sie doczekac nastepnego odcinka w podobnym przeslaniu! A moze zrobisz filmik na temat ziemach odzyskanych?
P.S Jestem z Wrocka dlatego pytam :D

SLAVA ✊
Chętnie zobaczyłbym odcinek o pułkowniku Leopoldzie Kuli ps "Lis" to niezwykły a zarazem zapomniany bohater
Dodam do listy spróbuję coś wykrzesać.

Ciekawy temat. Akurat jest on zapomnianą postacią.
Jeremii to jeden z moich ulubionych wojskowych z czasów I Rzeczypospolitej.
Wait what is the sejm
Can someone make english subtitles?
I added English subtitles :)

:)
the only way the United states has actually remembered this guy is by building a bridge called the pulaski highway
)))))
wrzucili go do wody i pozamiatane...
