I feel like one traffic cop could rack up tens of thousands of dollars in moving fines for that area alone. At least put some bus lanes and cameras on those buses...
Yeah, the Traffic Cops are gonna make a lot of money off of this, ticketing cars left-and-right for violating the busway. Drivers better not complain when their ticket shows up in the mail. They should know better than to drive on a bus-only street. I agree. This is supposed to be a busway (closed to all traffic, except buses, trucks and emergency vehicles), but somehow, cars are still driving on Jamaica Avenue. Traffic cops have to step up the enforcement on the busways. Honestly, Jamaica Avenue should have a full-street Busway on it (all lanes painted on it, as well as signs that say "Buses Only: No Entry". All cars should have a left-turn only, and right-turn only lanes at Sutphin Boulevard, as well as Parsons Boulevard and 168th Street (the east end of the Busway).
