You said it yourself “If two Beyblades of opposite spin direction are hitting each other, the spin should even put between them” If that’s the case, then the slower you launch compared to the opponent, the more you can slow the opponent down. Apart from that as long as you can last longer after that happens, you’re likely to win every time
2 months later I want to add that there’s actually a similar thing in competitive Pokémon with the move “pain split” where a strategy is to use a defensively weak Pokémon with the ability sturdy, which keeps it on 1 HP if it would normally be knocked out in one hit, and then following up with pain split which brings then opponent down the most and usually heals the pain splitter completely to go off again. But the same idea is there that if it’s about equalizing then one having a significantly small value to be equalized would create the most significant effect between the two parties
I assume that by launching at low speed you decrease the total energy among the 2 beys, and because spin equalizes they both stop spinning faster, and by shortening the battle you decrease the odds that you get knocked out, start scraping, or have something else go wrong
Also take it into account a high spinning rubber fusion wheel would deflect and push beys further reducing clash time significantly making it worse for the spin stealing to actually work.
I think the reason why Spin Stealing works better when the bey starts slow is because it doesn't focus its power on hitting the other bey but instead (especially against defense and stamina type) has an easier time to collide softly. It's like two gears, in order to work properly they must be close to each other. It's why hand spinned Spinstealing can work, the calmer the beyblade moves the easier it is to absorb Spin of others. Better be careful with the Pokémon figures btw. I can see them break if they stay this close to the Beyblades. My combo would be: Galaxy Zurafa H145 HF
If the spin stealer is spinning faster than the opponent you're not spin stealing anymore. You're giving your power to the other Bayblade. This is why launching slower is better for a spin stealer
6:46, additionally, the Flash wheel has TONS of drag, meaning that it won’t have much stamina to begin with. While a rubber tip will lower it further, it’ll maximize the damage it can do, truly living up to its name
The reason spin stealing works better at low speeds is because there's a higher relative velocity at the contact point which A) Slows down the faster spinning bey more and B) Makes the slower spinning bey accelerate The slower the left-spinning bey is the more energy it saps from the faster bey

So, the reason it's best to launch slow with a spin-stealer is once again the transfer of kinetic energy. A beyblade is a flywheel. The faster a flywheel spins, the more energy it's carrying. If a faster flywheel engages with a slower flywheel, the faster one will transfer its kinetic energy into the slower one until they equalize or disengage. The larger the gap, the more energy can be transferred. The rubber is the key here - the high friction and soft surface allows for longer periods of contact than metal-on-metal, since metal-on-metal contact will typically cause the two tops to push each other away immediately and with more force.

Ive really been enjoying your videos and you’ve quickly become my favorite beyblade UA-camr, as well as one of my favorite UA-camrs in general I’ve got two combos so I’ll leave it up to whichever you’d rather do The first is wing dragonis gb145 rsf This bey is primarily a defense type, using the high defense of wing in mode 0, however against stamina types which can easily outspin it, I would switch to mode 2 and attempt to KO the opponent I’d say it’s greatest weakness is defense types with higher stamina than it, as they can outspin it in defense mode and weather it’s hits in attack mode The second one is kreis eagle ad145 rdf This is a 4D evolution of eagle I recently designed for a friend(haven’t told him yet as I wanna make it and give it to him for his birthday) that I haven’t been able to test out yet, I was actually inspired by your videos to make this one and think it could have some decent defense in defense mode and decent attack power in attack mode, true to eagle’s designation as a balance type, if you also wanna show how you’d improve on this combo or the general concept of a 4D eagle evolution, that’d be awesome
Its all based on that one hit in the middle of the battle where the opposing beyblade hits the spin stealer to the point where the two beys spin is equalized and since the spin stealer starts at a lower spin rate the opposing bey gives its upper rotaion to it making the spin stealer overide the opponents stamina for that final second and that usualy happens a second or two before the match ends but this will only work well if the spin stealer is paired with a wide preformance tip

Spin stealing can also work as a self spin drainer. If you're faster than the opponent, you're giving your opponent your spin. If you're slower, you're taking the opponent's spin. When rubber is involved, they mostly try to balance out spin and in almost all cases end up stopping spinning together.

for me, the reason why lauching at low speed is more efficient is cause spin stealing is only about equalizing the opponent speed. So it means that the one who gain speed from the interaction is the bey who's the slowest at the impact. But I'm no scientist so... my combo is WING (mode2) CYGNUS SA130RSF btw (it may not be the strongest, but i thought it looked cool, like a flying creature with all the wings parts)

The reason why spin stealers should be launched in a low spin is because they can only spin-steal when the opposite bey is at higher rpm than them and stop spin-stealing when the other Beyblade becomes slow …..you might have noticed that if u hand spin a spin-stealer(reference: 5:00) ....it wont exactly win but almost run out of stamina when the opponent bey does ...... just like while launching from a launcher ,the Beyblade will only come out of the launcher holders when it's speed becomes more than the spinning of launcher

Performance tip - gear circle flat/gcf
Please and thank you
for me, the reason why lauching at low speed is more efficient is cause spin stealing is only about equalizing the opponent speed.
Another way to describe the interaction is to compare the beys to gears

5:58 Y E S
1:55 those barrage attacks are so clean 😂
I think the reason why spin stealers have to be launcher slower is because if they’re launched faster they give spin to the oponent
Btw, can you try my combo? Metal face bolt burn nemesis gb145ds
So cool concept ! Thanks for that...
The top of destructor L-drago, counter, the type of fire blaze

I love how you’re making your videos longer and here’s my combo, Gravity Destroyer 90 EWD
I remember when I was 9 and my cousin and I were dinking around with beyblades and I had a HEAVYILY offensive build with a Libra Facebolt and metal ring, versus a Pegasus with I THINK a LDrago tip (Dont remember the specifics) and the initial hit SHATTERED my Libra ring, split the core and BROKE my cousins plastic underring.
I was dying laughing before I realized what had happened, since that was the only Facebolt I knew where it was at the time.
I have a pretty good high recoil combo.

Please try twisted with metal face bolt, eternal defense spin track and rubber ball
