@@toddbarkley715lol i rarely see titans with cloudstrike and smg smh. Infact... i barely see titans at all. Its mostly hunter strand, stasis and void i see the most who are using the most cloudstrike, immortal and lame shotties. Gtfoh kiddo 😂. Bubble titan is so weak and easy to counter. I have zero problems with them. Sound definitely like a skill issue on your part. 😂.
There’s still bows and smg spam which is not fun, but when you get matched with people that genuinely try to enjoy the game it’s super fun, I literally had so much fun using my fatebringer timelost
Word Of Crota (180 RPM Handcannon) can 3 tap with sword logic
Oversoul Edict is really fun to use
Unending tempest is insane on titan
Nation of beasts is under-rated 140
Sword Breaker is a amazing lightweight shotgun
Targeted Redaction (120 RPM Handcannon) can get upto 100 handling and reload speed in checkmate after you have used all abilities.

Thank you!! Once you get sword logic going on Word of Crota, it's literally a mini pre-nerf Not Forgotten. Abyss Defiant with sword logic is good as well. Already have 1500 kills on it and I just crafted it like 2 weeks ago.

Conditional, Igneous, Shayuras w/ peacekeepers, unending tempest, strand hunters, Suros/Summoner, Slugs buffed ae, Bow from Nf (starts with an A) that’s all I can remember rn but these are some weapons you want to take a look at as they’re dominating the crucible along with wishender as an honourable mention

Good to see you back. Abyss Defiant is a good CE weapon, imo. With the Auto Rifle buffs and perks like Sword Logic it hits like a truck

Benny cheating with the best hand cannon in the game. Not fair. Welcome back. I have not touched regular play since checkmate came out. I like the previous version checkmate where you a higher TTK. It seems like they rolled back TTK to normal but kept the slow abilility generation. I think some where in between 1.0-1.25 ttk would be the sweet spot. I know for an average player like me would benefit to have time to react and not getting 2 tap by a hand cannon.
Ppl are enjoying checkmate because it’s clearly pure Cbmm. Bungie strategically choose this MM (FOR NOW) because they want this version of the game be the norm moving forward and need ppl to like this modifier.
Considering the average player is bad how would they enjoy cbmm?😂
Good players thrive on this mode so i don't think it's the connection, its the fact you don't die to BULLSHT designed for PVE not pvp.
I've lost 3 games this weekend to bugged abilities in trials at 4-4 to the point even my teammates said how the fk did i even die in chat when I wasn't near that grenade.
The meta is shifting to void lock aswell and child is beyond broken it takes 80% of an smg mag to kill and it does 10 dmg per second in like a 10meter aoe

Good players thrive in any game mode but particularly in ones where they are not facing near peer adversaries in every match. Also, the get the most kills, get special ammo before anyone else in the lobby and them proceed to farm everting even worst with specials.

It’s awful, the only reason I’m playing is because I’m poor and don’t have any other good PvP games. I would not want my worst enemy to play destiny.

I didn’t get through a match due to the lack of SBMM. All black hunter named Destroyer jumping around with Thorn was something I haven’t really seen since the SBMM. I was just like, no.
THe population is so bad that they will likely end up removing SBMM from the whole game and if the population doesn’t get much larger, it will be the end of my interest in PVP and therefore D2 in general.
I am about 60-40 PVE to PVP right now. Without PVP, PVE just doesn’t have the appeal anymore.

Check mate should be in trials 100%. If i didn't die to abilities i died to special weapons or loat the game because in zone trials the team had 3 bubbles and i don't conditional finality lol

Even in checkmate abilities still feel they are up too often.
Specials would be fine if snipers got a 50% aim assist nerf and fusions weren't allowed to precharge makings their ttk like 0.2 on every engagement.
And no you 0.2s you don't bait a good player with a fusion unless he is going for a last ditch effort to 1v3 ..in a 1v1 where there's no flanking stress he will hold that charge and push you off the peak.

I wish checkmate would not change weapon dmg and player health, longer cds and less common special ammo is already enough to make gunplay more of a focus. Balancing primaries has already been a big problem for years and with 2 different modes its gonna get worse, also special weapons should be just as lethal as normal pvp imo because the ammo is less common and it’s becoming too much of a camp teamshoot fest and this will only get worse once sbmm is enabled for it
No fan of the D2Y1 meta. Checkmate is just a redo of that double primary meta. Don’t think this is the end of the crucible changes. Slide and movement reduction is next. Enough said.

This gamemode doesn’t make sense to me. Destiny is a game about classes with cool abilities and their own power fantasy and such. If you want more emphasis on gunplay go play call of duty or something. Bungie is just walking crucible backward for people that can’t keep up with it. First they took AE away so we can’t use our cool jumps and now they’re taking our abilities.
I find it boring tbh. Current pvp is better
Abilities is why I bought this game and chose to be a warlock, not guns
if i don't get my dodge ability quicker than i'll be maining solar warlock when the checkmate mode applies to all pvp modes
How does your 140 rpm HC hit for 77 to the head and 52 to the body when my igneous hits for. 80 to the head and 50 to the body 😑
