I took mine outdoors for the first time yesterday and had problems with lighting. It was a perfectly sunny day in Phoenix. I called support and I gather that this is really still a work in progress. They told me to send feedback from the app. I'm also on android, which doesn't look like everything is deployed yet, because I can't find the Face Impact Location under Club Analysis. Wish I had a home setup but don't really have the space, as of yet. :)
Bummer, yea what I'm gathering is that it's not necessarily a low lighting issue as more of the coding telling it about a lighting issue. So definitely will be worked on, but based on past experiences it will get there.
Man I’m so stoked for this. After my stroke I don’t have full feeling on my right side (I kinda feels like you slept on your arm all night but it’s every thing on the right) and it makes it really hard to feel the face impact. I’m hoping that having the face impact on during all practices and being able to see what I just felt will educate my feeling on what happened.
That sounds like a great use to help you out! And it's not just you that struggles to feel it, most golfers can't do it!!

With adequate lighting face impact is working flawlessly for me with irons.
Driver is another story. I can only get it working maybe 15% of the time. Sent in to support for help but i’m hoping it isn’t related to swing speed.
Also having trouble with the face impact button under club analysis. Some sessions its there to view some its not.
I was getting some pretty good reads with driver, but I don't get everyone thats for sure. But still got enough that I can work with and it's been great.
I think the new face contact feature is extremely finicky in regard to lighting. Sometimes, during a session, the feature is available and then with no change to the lighting, a note will come up saying the feature is unavailable. WTH??
I'd say I get about 8/10 shots where it gets it then I get that warning the other 2. I find if I hit it fat is usually when it happens. But I think that's just the default message for it didn't pick it up.
haha my question was answered at the end of the video. but doesn't seem to work for me on ios.
I've recently started the hunt for a launch monitor and am a bit confused by Flightscope's offerings. In order to get the impact data, does that require the $1000 upgrade to the Mevo Plus Pro package and then the $500 Mevo Face Impact package? And then to get it operating on a PC, I'll need this $100 Flightscope PC software?
Edit: I was initially interested in the new MLM 2 Pro, but having club & face data is mandatory as a high handicapper. Is it possible to forego the $1500 premium to upgrade to the Pro & Face Impact packages by using Golf Club 2019, GS Pro, Creative 3D, or Awesome Golf software options? Curious if there are any options to save a buck.

Flightscope does it like Ala Carte - so if you just want simulation and to play some golf you don’t need to buy all the stuff you don’t want. So the way they do it is base launch monitor with ball data for the base price. Pro Package for Club Data is $1000 and then Face Impact is $500. So $3700 all in. You do need pro package to get face impact data. You also get the PC version with the Pro Package or Face Impact included. You only pay for the PC Software if you just get the base Mevo+. You can always upgrade later too as you go. Also my link in the description plus code SHG get’s you al little extra discount on stuff (not much but it helps).
I recently purchased FS face impact and using it indoors with pretty good lighting I am unable to get face impact for the driver. It seems to work with all my irons but not my driver
I would try troubleshooting with FS Support, mine works well with driver indoors. I do have very good lighting, but maybe they have some other thoughts.
Hey Scott, maybe I’m missing something, but at 1:54, how do I adjust the ball/mat down? When I go through this the on screen hitting area and ball are above my actual hitting mat. In the past I was able to adjust this down. I know you now have to move the Mevo+ side to side now, but you can’t move it up and down without affecting your tilt. Thanks!!

A chance it was left out, and might need to be added back in. Wouldn't be a surprise that a few of the ios features that have been added haven't been added to PC yet.
I’ve asked the FS tech guys to program a full screen driving range with data on the sides like the previous VX software but it’s not out yet. I notice ur screen is projecting a different image than ur monitor. How does that work?
In display settings you can organize your screens. Data on the range screen would be nice like the ipad app does.

Yes you can! You just can't do the 4 way split screen.
I'm having trouble getting face impact working. It keeps telling me I have insufficient lighting no matter what I try.
Is this on ipad or PC? Have you done the PC software updates? I've gotten a couple of updates and now when I'm doing my setup it will tell me if the lighting is sufficent or not for the face impact. This is on the PC version when I'm doing this.
Lighting required is 300 lumens. Bought a 2200 lumen LED bulb for the garage. Bulb is on the wall maybe 6 feet from ball. I assume the lighting level at the ball will meet the min 300 lumen requirement? Can measure it in lux but not lumens.
Lux is lumen I believe. Mine works good, misses one once in a while but its usually when I chunk it too.
I believe Lumens is amount of light emitted. Lux is amount of light at/on a surface (distance from source matters) I keep getting a reading of 147 lux at the ball. Not sure that is enough.
@@Dan-ld3mj how are you getting that reading? Does the fs golf app tell you or are you using your own lux meter?
An app I downloaded onto my iPhone.
Can draw on video in Review sessions currently not in the actual session. Trying to figure out how to do lesson. Currently have to use review session export video attach file to student. Not like VX where you could email from the session
I have recently purchased this software and I am having distance issues, most shots are reading about 75% of my normal distances. If I switch off of this pc program and run the Gspro driving range my distances are normal. Have you had any issues reading distances correctly?
Is your distance set at sea level or are you using the current weather conditions mode, if you're somewhere up north it's probably taking off a good amount of distance.

Hi Scott. While using the new FS on PC I noticed that you can't set range limits on the data (where the data box becomes red when it's outside the limits you set). Unless I couldn't find where that is?
I'll have to look, but I'm gonna guess there are things that need to be added still.
I see your FS Golf has BodiTrak and FocusBand, does BodiTrak integrate with Mevo+ now?
It has for a long time just wasn't on the Fs Golf app with Mevo+
Hey Scott, I have a question about customizable dashboard. Is this four window option only available on PC, or can you configure on I Pad as well? I currently run FS golf off my phone, and i can not set up like this. I definitely want to see Face location with my flight and data sets. Thanks !!!
PC does the 4 options, I don't think the screen is big enough to do it on devices.

Not a huge fan of the non windows standard window decoration. I tried it quickly and the damn thing kept popping a dialog about my tilt being wrong but it was showing it as green and at 11.99degrees so I decided to close it and not bother. not a great start.. Sucks that I have to reenter all my clubs specs too.. and inability to migrate existing data back and forth with all other apps and OSes I'm stuck dealing with. Were you able to resize window? or is it full screen all the time?
It's full screen for me but that's how I want it. I just move it to the monitor I want it on.
@@scotthogangolf I just verified and it's indeed breaking windows compatibility by trying to be "cute".. and not providing a minimize option.
Can you recommend a camera that you show around the 3:45 mark?
That's my canon 90d dslr, but I just got a Dragonfly usb 2.0 from Swing Catalyst and it's pretty good and not crazy expensive. A Logitech webcam would work as well.

is it easy to get that foot spray off the club?
I’ve used multiple times. It’s relatively easy. I use a palm held dish scrubber, the kind you can put a little soap and water in the the handle. I keep it in my back in a ziplock bag. Very easy.
It's not bad, a wet towel will do it, but it gets everywhere before you wipe it off.
