- Check Out This New View! CSX Intermodal Train Passes Under Me Next To Scrap Metal Loading Spur. CSX Mixed Freight At Railroad Crossing Next To Abandoned Model Train Shop. Norfolk Southern Train Flies Past Like A Jet & All Of A Sudden A CSX Mixed Freight Passes Behind Me! 2 Trains In A Row At The Same Time! These Trains Are In Northern Kentucky At Covington And Walton.
I was looking for new locations to film. The first one is a cool spot with an awesome view. The only problem is that there are not very many trains. I got this northbound CSX intermodal train after waiting around for hours with my scanner on. This is Covington, Kentucky near Interstate 275. After that I went up in town in Covington next to where Tims Trains used to be. Tims Trains was an awesome model train store that had about everything you could think of. I would go there just to look at the stuff and wait for a train. I always bought stuff even if I didn't need it. I was shocked when the store closed. It was a huge loss for model train lovers.
The next train is a CSX southbound at the no train horn zone railroad crossing next to Tims Trains. This is almost a new spot for me to film since I haven't filmed here in a few years. Check out the tight curves.
After that I decided that I wanted to get some trains. It was getting late and I only had two trains for the whole day. I went to Locust Street in Walton, Kentucky and I was blessed. After being there for only about 40 minutes a Norfolk Southern train came flying past me at the railroad crossing heading to Cincinnati, Ohio. While it was passing a CSX train came through northbound right behind me. This was a mixed freight heading to Cincinnati. Perfect timing on the ends of the trains also. This video has never been posted. This is not the same one that I posted a couple weeks ago. Almost the same exact thing happened. That is pretty cool to have it happen once but twice is really lucky.
Filmed Wednesday, May 8, 2024 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!

Trains trains and more trains in Covington Kentucky awesome
Thanks for watching 😊
You were right, that IS a cool shot of that intermodal train. Excellent view. Great video. Have a nice day 😊🌈
Thanks for watching 😊
Hi. It’s Randy in Chattanooga. I counted 56 cars-I think-... on that first 🚂. Nice job, Brian. God bless.
Cool, thanks 😊
I left Hamburg, New York on the 4st of January 1970 (about 15 miles south of Buffalo) to go into the US Navy and have never been back there in late spring, almost summer. Wow! How pretty it looks pack in the northeast at that time of the year! Great locations, Senior Jaws. RT sends, envia. Colonia Centro Histórico, Puebla, México.
Brian you again produced a WOW video with great editing. Keep it up.
Thanks for watching!
Good morning JT & everyone, beautiful Saturday morning, coffee pot full & Covington, Cool!Walton a lot better, 2 trains, same time again. Awesome JT. ❤😊👍
Sounds great!
interesting treat for the pets.
Thanks for watching 😊
Cool spin around double crossing train race. Awesome video as usual, enjoyed it much, thanks JT!
Thanks for watching 😊
You're thinking outside of the box Brian.
Hello Steve! I'm going to Tipp City and Troy Ohio today
Good luck.I went through Circleville yesterday.
Xbox Brian you may be wonder why I said like that trust me you will know it soon anyway this scene and train so beautiful nicely done with video.
Excellent example of the “Famine to Feast” experience of a railfanning videographer. Two trains in 3-4 hours to two trains, back-to-back in 40 minutes. The camera angle on that “booking” NS Intermodal was awesome. I also enjoyed your guided tour of your farm, thanks for sharing Brian.
Thank you very much!
Really cool video with all the different things in the background!!
Glad you liked it!
Wow! Excellent catching all the trains, I like them, they're awesome, @JawTooth, Brian, thank you very much.
Thank you very much!
@@JawTooth You're very welcome, Brian.
Magnificent catches of the trains coming by and pass, I like 5 stars.
Thumbs up.
Keep up the perfect work, Brian, Greetings from Portugal to the USA.
I just want to let you know that today is my birthday.
Awesome video JT as always keep up the good work and have a great day 👍 😊 greetings from Scotland 😊
Thanks! You too!
@@JawTooth Your welcome JT thanks 😊
Good video Brian. I think they should reopen the old train store, it just needs some work.
That would be cool
I really miss Northern Kentucky. I remember when my Dad went to model train meetings before he passed away. I remember Tim's trains and hobbies. I'm trying to follow my Dad's Footsteps to the best of my abilities.
You're right that is a cool view! 😁👍
Thanks 👍
good to see the horse.
So your in Kentucky now nice place different spot looks like it will be one of your favorite spots to shoot video
I'm on my way to Tipp City Ohio and Troy right now
Hope you make it there ok
Great video jawtooth
Thanks!
Awesome view indeed. Kudos!
Great video JT! Nice to see Norfie and the dogs. Thanks for sharing my friend.
Glad you enjoyed it
Wow all kinds of live action there Brian.
Some great new Kentucky locations including a bridge with a nice wide sidewalk that looks like it's in the middle of nowhere. That scrap facility in the background looks like a whole bunch of AMGX gondolas load nice shiny metal and they specialize in recycling old can stock (tin cans) and their punchings and trimmings. In its day that must have been quite the hobby store but sadly internet ordering and changes in hobbies along with what looks like an economic turndown in the area and they're no longer able to make a go
of it. That mural however it does portray the L&N Heritage and the type of motor power that reigned in the area. Cap it off with the double feature between NS and CSX. Even a tour of GT Acres and the pet Roundup
When will Alan be out shooting videos of trains again 😊
Probably June if he comes up
I really like that view and the new location. It's cool 😎! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
I will probably go back to these sites. I like them also
@@JawTooth Cool! 😎👍
Great. Day. Train. Watching.
You. Great. Catch. And. Good. View
Thank you very much!
@@JawTooth you. Welcome
Amazing video Jaw Tooth, I can't wait for you to upload the next one!
Thanks!
Have a good weekend Brian, awesome video once again 🙏🏻
Hey JT, Great video's and keep em coming son!
Kentucky nice. Chattooga
The first location in Covington, Kentucky is a terrific location to catch CSX trains. I am surprised that there was not more action at that scrap metal loading spur since you were there on a Wednesday. The other locations in Covington and Walton, Kentucky proved to be good railfanning locations. Thank you for the tour of part of your farm holdings.
That was a great catch, JT! One spot and 2 trains. A very long, fast NS intermodal. I'm guessing around 150 cars, and then good sized CSX
mixed freight. That was awesome! 😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
@@JawTooth You are so welcome! 😊
If you can feel the ground trembling , imagine living in those houses that are close to the tracks ! Shake day n night!
All of your videos are great but, this is probably the best scene you filmed!
Wow, thanks!
I loved going to the tailgate spot before Bengals games behind the old B&O warehouse and catch all those CSX trains on the viaduct going in and out of Queensgate.
I really enjoyed the tour of your farm, JT. It has to be beans they planted. Corn is normally planted in 30 inch or larger rows. Those were much to close together. I always love seeing your pets, too! ❤ The video today was excellent, just like all of your others. I sincerely appreciate them. I don't get out a great deal and I sort of live vicariously through you. I'd love to travel to the places you do. I pray you and your family has a great week! 😊😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Yes, I agree, probably beans since they were planted so close. I just got back from Troy Ohio and tomorrow I can check them. Thanks for your support!
@@JawTooth You're welcome, JT.
Amazing videos Jaw Tooth keep up the good work
Great shots at some awesome locations! Fantastic video JT!
🚂🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💯👍🇺🇸
Thanks a lot!
Awesome location Jawtooth! What a great view from there!👍
Very nice view Yes! 🚆🚂 Best Jaw Tooth! 🚂 🚆
Very cool 😎 show.thanks
But wait, there's more! Hope so! Your framing of the various rolling stock, power units, scenery, points of interest, and your panning method is quality work. But what really tops it is your honest, open comment! If I feel down, I just fire up some Jaw Tooth, and all is well, LOL! Thanks for sharing! 😀
Brian first I just want to say I appreciate how you care about us your viewers 😊 omg seeing two trains at the same time again so cool😊 also loved seeing the farm update
Wow, thank you
cool spot
Wow! Amazing catches Brian! Thank you so much for sharing!
I loved the overhead views of the intermodal train. Walton is a favorite. You really lucked out there. Always interesting and enjoyable videos from Jaw Tooth. Thanks! ❤
Merci beaucoup pour cette très belle vidéo ! ✨✨✨✨✨👍
Next time you are in northern Kentucky, you might check out the line that runs down the middle of the street in Frankfort. Then you could check out Shelbyville, and stop for lunch at Claudia Sanders Dinner House and have some of Col Sanders Original fried chicken (supposedly it is different from KFC today.) Give us a first hand account, because I'm eager to know what it's like. 🙂
Thanks Jaw Tooth for a great video and you have a nice farm, too.
Wow! Super cool, Jaw Tooth. Thanks for all you great videos. The two trains converging on separate tracks was awesome.
Thank you very much!
nice video but look at all that poison ivy! Happy Saturday JT!
Great to see the tour of your farm land and it is quite a chore to maintain it.
It sure is. I have a real hard time finding help
Another great video, JT and yeah man you lucked up on that one catching two trains at one time but I really like that little town of Covington or city. Whatever it is it looked like it was really clean. I know everything looked neat but anyway, my friend you stay safe out there and watch your back and we’ll catch you on the next one.
Hey jaw tooth glad to see new location. Awesome trains. Have a great weekend. Cool farmland you have... Glad your pets are doing great. Have a great railroad day. 🚂🙋♀️
Great work!!!
Nice view looking down on first train! Excellent video in Covington!
excellent video!
Beautiful property! Always enjoy your sharing of your life with us!
Thanks for watching!
Thank You Jaw Tooth great video and slide show!
That is an excellent view at the beginning of the video!
Glad you liked it!
That is a great view! Crystal clear video too!
Thank you very much!
Another super train video! Great catch with the two at the same time! Neat view of the old church with the twin spires. But I'm disappointed. You didn't show whether the guy took the ladder from the woman! LOL. Enjoyed seeing your animals and the plowed fields. You will have to show us the crop when it gets growing good! Nice that you lease it out so you have time to run around chasing trains to share with all of us!
Wow, you have a awesome farm going there, the best part is that you lease it, take away a lot of the hassle. But you do loose the profits from the crop. Great catch with the CSX and Norfolk Southern, thats the 2nd time I've seen you do that.. Lucky!! Keep up the vids, I look every morning to find them, get bummed when you don't post. Be Crazy!!!
Man jawtooth that’s incredible you got two trains 👌👏 that’s so cool my dad is a huge fan of trains
I loved that fast-moving intermodel that was booking. Covington reminded me of the tv show " In the heat of the night" staring Carol O'Connor. It was filmed in Covington, Georgia. If you do get close to those geese, they will go after you🤬🤣
Thanks for the video Brian stay well roll on
Good morning Jaw Tooth.
God mixed freight downtown, JT. I've never been to Covington, but it looks like a beautiful area. I actually like all of Kentucky's rural areas. I think a city is a city, though, for the most part. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Very cool!
Thanks JT for another great video. That 2nd train (NS) was definately on a mission!
Glad you enjoyed it
I'd call those super long cars a great idea!! They are twice the length with the same number of axels! Cool.
Good call!
Awesome video now I've seen it twice. Thanks Mr JT.❤😊
Glad you enjoyed it and thanks!
Does watching and commenting on your 8 year old videos help you? There are some gems.
Love those meets..Awesome video
If you have your radio on you should be able to hear the engineers asking permission from the mow foreman to enter the work zone. I am guessing that the angle says, "If you are going right at the wye, we are working and you must have permission to proceed."
Great video JT. Liked the walk around your farm.
Thanks 👍
Mr jawtooth great video my dad said he will like every video you upload and such a big fan too
That's awesome!
I like train videos on UA-cam jawtooth dpu alright 👍
Thanks, Jaw Tooth.
Great catches and awesome video brian
Awesome thank you!
I would love to see the land you own and manage. I just loved to walk the In-law's farm. They refused to sell to me, to keep it in the family. They thought they were doing me a favor. I disagreed, but to no avail. You're a lucky man!
Oh wow! That’s too bad cause it is difficult to get land anymore. The price is way too high even if you can find it. I got mine when it was cheap. I will show more of it.
One of the best videos yet, and that's going some! Yes, I remember the other video with double trains (CSX & NS), and now to have the second occurrence of that is truly a gift!
You've got a nice 'spread' there, partner. With all that space you could build a scale country and run LGB trains!! :)
Alright, friend - I'm going to go watch another Jaw Tooth video (some guy said I should. LOL!)
Getting caught up, slowly but certainly.
"God richly bless those who follow Him"
Thank you very much!
Nice area you got some great train catches at great video JT
Thank you very much!
Superb, interesting video. Have a good Sunday, Yes, that was Wow. We don,t see anything like that here in England, Great to see.
Glad you enjoyed it
Nice place. Thanks for the look see.
Thanks for visiting
I am waiting for you to start work on your new land acquisition...
Shoestring is up up up watching this video right now!
I enjoyed that video👍👍
Thanks 👍
Man that NS IM train was haulin!!
Nice looking area.
It sure is!
Tell us why is a NO train horn zone.. Jaw tooth you did it again another great railfan video.
Great video!👌
Thanks!
Good video Jawtooth
Thanks
Just across from the street opposite the one filmed stands a beautiful pair of old buildings, a brick one with 3 narrow windows on top and white paint . . . . they look like they belong in the old west like 1880 shotgun shacks! Great train also! You sure have great buildings!
Thanks for watching 😊
Train at 14:00 is when you needed the radar gun
5:39-if that was me, I'd stay and watch it
Nice Video!
Thanks!
Nice Vid JT
Wow you have a big place
With the new lot that I am buying I have 113 acres
Nice Video We should try to meet up sometime this summer
That would be cool
