I appreciate your video of the various fruits. I liked how you showed how to cut and eat then describing the taste. I'm leaving for CR and can't wait to try their fruit. Many thanks Luke
Guanabana was slightly over ripe and jackfruit under ripe. Try ripe jackfruit with someone that knows how to cut it. The latex can be off-putting. Great video.
Hi dude, only a few comments, the Caimito you showed is not ready for eat, the Starfruit, Pasion fruit, banana Pasion fruit, Guanabana are for Juice. The Planter is to eat fry, Yuca also is to eat fry, and there are a lot more fuits like Mamocino, Guaba, Anona, Mangostino, Mangostan, Nance, Cas, Guayaba, Nispero, etc.
With the jackfruit you meant to eat the yellow meaty fresh which has the seed inside of it. The fibrous white stringy parts that you ate are not edible and to be discarded with the rest of the fruit. Also be careful not to let the sap stick to you or your utensils as it'll be sticky and difficult to get rid off. For future ref a good jackfruit should be densely packed with the yellow freshy bits that you can actually eat when cut opened. You cut around the spongy core to get to the edible yellow meaty bits. A good jackfruit would have open spikes and looks smooth and stretched out in shape with as little indentations as poss and smells good when ripened
Thanks for the advice. I felt it wasn’t quite right when I was eating it and researched later, to find similar answers to what you said. I knew before cutting the jackfruit open the sap would be sticky, but had no idea how sticky! I saw a video of someone oiling their hands and knife before cutting it open. I was a bit disappointed that I couldn’t find a larger jackfruit at the farmers market, but was still excited to try because I have never had a fresh jackfruit before. Thanks for watching and I appreciate your comment!
Sorry but theres no likely way I could trust your sweet review to put the granadilla into my mouth. That is just way too creepy looking inside there. Like some alien baby maker stuff.
😂 Honestly, this was one of my favorite's. They taste a lot better than they look!

Once you have it in front of you and smell it, it just feels more enticing, the smell is very colorful and the texture is slimy, so is like slurping gelatine.

Awesome! I hope you have a great time in Costa Rica.
Awesome video
Gonna be moving there one day
Banana Passion fruit is an absolute new one for me and I consider myself a passionate fruit explorer that’s been around the world. 16 countries so far
Yes, this was a weird one! I just wish it tasted a bit sweeter 😂
I'm Costa Rican and here you just keep discovering new fruits. The last one I tried Is called jorco and tastes like orange+mango+tomato

I made a real mess of cutting up the Jackfruit! Next time I will be sure to do it right. Do you grow these fruits?
I wonder what the size of your plantain is 😊

Behold, we are witnessing the first ever fruit police here people
Being from ph I've encountered most of these except plantain, banana passion, the giant passion and yuca. We don't have those.
Nice! The variety of fruits in Costa Rica is unbelievable. There are so many and all year round, as a result of the tropical climate.
