What an exceptional sword. I'd consider some of Balefire's arming swords, though it is an extreme shame they're not making any more schiavonas!

About 45 years ago I had a foil version of that Eris blade. It was old (very, it seemed to me) and a bit rusty, and several inches short in the blade where it had been broken (there was a kink about 2 inches short of the break) so the remaining blade length was only about 26 inches ish. The brass cylindrical /conical pommel screwed on and off - it tapered toward the grip and was knurled on the cylindrical section presumably to make it easier to grip to unscrew. Blade section was very rectangular where it passed through the cup and quillions, tapering to slightly rectangular for the rest of the blade. Grip was wood with diagonal cross hatching, bearing the remains of a grey colour wood stain of some sort, and with brass decorative cup finishing on the ends of the grip so the wood wouldn't crush when the pommel was tightly screwed down. Has anyone else ever come across something like this, know where it might have come from, how old, what it's called and anything else about it? Sadly I no longer have it, but was always curious.

Ugh, it's so good. I saw his photos from the pommel a while back and knew right away who it was for

I like that the beauty is somewhat hidden at first glance. You need to take a second look to really appreciate it. Very subtle!

The only thing wrong with that beautiful rapier is that there should only be one so I cannot order one for myself.

Forgive me if this question is a bit crass... But what does one expect to pay for a weapon of this quality?
