I remember watching that game with my dad, he was a big fan of Tendulkar and absolutely loved Virat’s performance, even said that Virat reminds him of Sachin
My father said the same while talking to his friend… they were both absolutely awestruck and said he reminded them as Sachin from 90s
Whomever I have talked with (who have watched both kohli and Tendulkar ) they always say kohli is better than Sachin ,indeed Sachin is God but they all said that they have to agree kohli is better than Sachin.

There is a plethora of games by VK i remember where he single handedly won the match for india..this is one of them... He is my fav since 2011 and I remember almost each and every knock of his.
I didn't watch this game live. I watched the spell where Malinga was thrashed by Kohli and yes, it caught my eye as well. I mean, by that point he was already a big name on world stage but taking on one of the most feared bowler of the decade just like that is worth a your head turning back.

Sachin is a good player but when it comes to important matches he is gone. Look at chases, sachin is nowhere close to kohli, that shows how much pressure he can handle.

Kohli is a great ODI and T20 player but a very average test player in tests and knockout matches. Smith, Williamson and Root are far better in tests and that's all that matters other than the WCs. Below average in SENA nations evidence, last 5 years his average has dropped in tests.
