I lived in this beautiful town for 3 years during my studies. This is the most beautiful place I have ever stay in my life, I lived in Hong Kong, Frankfurt, Berlin, London (and a small town near it) and Manchester, all cities have it own charm (except Berlin), but none of them can compare to Coburg. If you have a family and you can speak good German, this place is a perfect place to raise your kids. I really miss my time in there, seeing it bring tears to me.
My wife and I have visited Coburg twice. It is the most beautiful town we have ever been to. I can see how it would be a wonderful place to live. I am happy we were able to share our Coburg video with you! Thank you for watching our video!
I don't recall seeing the memorial when we were in Coburg. What an unfortunate history for everyone involved. What did you think of Coburg? Thanks for watching!
@@searchingforhistory Great. When I visited in 1969 it was close to the border with East Germany. As an Army PFC I didn't have a lot of money to spend but enjoyed the Castle and other sites. I like archetecture and it has many interesting buildings.
@@joedeegan3870 I wonder how much it has changed since 1969. The architecture is definitely a big part of what draws us to Germany. Thank you for your service!
Thanks, Coburg is an amazing town. Don't miss our video on Veste Coburg, the fortress that over looks the town. ua-cam.com/video/kOY7t-vEb-k/v-deo.html
Erin and I first visited Coburg in 2015. We were amazed at its beauty. Our goal for going back was to video more of the Coburg's old town. Next Sunday our video is about Coburg's fortress. The fortress together with Coburg's old town makes for incredible sightseeing.
You will prob not see this, but did you go to Fuchs, the bakery? If so, some of the best bread, croissants, and desserts. Additionally, down the road where the Apotheke is - Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader live there. :) I grew up in Coburg, and I miss it a lot. The Veste is where I had my wedding pictures taken. I go back ever few years now that I live in the US. The Coburger Bratwurst is the best in the country. :) Prost!!!!
Unfortunately, no we did not go to Fuchs. I wish we had! Now I wish I could go back and see if i can find Luke and Darth! We have been to Coburg twice and love it. It is our favorite town in Germany! The Coburger Wurst is delicious! You are lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful town.
I love my city Thank you for the nice video You have to come in July because we have the second largest samba festival in the world after Rio. When it starts is stated on the Samba website
I did? The song choices are basically the best fitting I could find from the UA-cam Audio Library (which is limited). I am curious which song are you talking about? Do you know the time stamp? Thanks for watching!
@@eye347 Thats interesting, it is called, "Simple Gifts" in the UA-cam Audio Library. I did not know it was Irish! We are glad you liked the video! Now that I am listening to it again as I write this, I can hear how it could be Irish.

Lovely. Thank you for sharing. I too was in Bavaria in September last year. Coburg is now on my list for another time. Safe travels.
Coburg is wonderful, I am sure you will enjoy it. Thanks for watching!
I was struck by the WW2 Memorial that said the Regiment raised by the German Army from Coburg disappeared at Stalingrad ! Haunting !

"Lord of the dance" - Why did you choose an Irish Music?

@@searchingforhistory Lord of the dance is the first melody of your superbe video. I like it but it's irish and doesn't really match with Coburg.
