How different the CBD looks today from when I left Sydney in 1989. I didn't know George street had become a rail yard. I used to drive through there as well as through Pitt street. For my feeling there was much more foot and car traffic and noise 35 years ago.

It was definitely pretty quiet. The tram line no doubt has had some effect. Was a bit busier later in the day
