STUNNING STUNNING STUNNING omg nearly burning your journal before 2024 starts feels like a MOOD! ooohhh love how you use washi tape! the 5 star hall of fame in particular looks amazing! love that you kept in the frustration at 7:07 ooohhh reading trackers is cute, no wait most anticipated is super freaking cute omg love the text on the manga series!
I mean I do have a flare for the dramatic and what a way to start than with char grilled journal 😅 Thank you!! I'm trying to be more explorative with my washi tape! Haha love that you can't decide your favourite spread! I think for me it's my goals pages. I always love the white on black and how it all looks with the ghosties!
I'm currently working on my reading journal! I like to look at what I have now and which spreads were useful and which were not. My favorite part so far is my spread set up to challenge myself to read what I already own.
That's a great challenge to set and I wish you all the best with it! I hope you live your reading journal and feel free to share a link if you post it 😊
Haha Yeahhh I used to edit out those moments but then realised it's part of who I am and I make myself giggle while editing them so someone may enjoy watching them 😂😂 Good luck with your journal!
Your reading journal looks fantastic! Have you considered using a stencil for drawing stars, letters or borders? I think that they work out cheaper than re-buying stickers and they are very versitile! You could also use stamps, but then you also need ink pads...while with the stencils you can use any colour pen or marker ...Just an idea! Have a lovely December! :) I love the bookmark-tracker idea! I may try it myself! Thank you for sharing!
I've tried stencils and stamps in the past but I'm not a bit fan of them and find they just end up cluttering my space. I have a couple of stencil sets but I'm just going to do a lot more practice with my lettering next year to improve it. Thanks for the suggestion!
It looks so pretty! I'd love to know which books your planning to read for 52 Books Bookclub challenge next year.. 😊 I've also been working on my reading journal.. it'd be my first ever reading journal ❤
I'll be doing a video in January with book suggestions and what I plan on reading for each of the yearly challenges! Your first reading journal, yay! There's something very special about a first ever journal, I hope you love it!
@@KayBethBookish I'll look forward to that video! It'd be really helpful.. You're right, I'm already feeling the sentimental vibes of my reading journal and I cannot wait to start using it.. 😊
The theme is GORGEOUS it's so magical! Oof I need a series tracker... particularly for manga. I like how you did the novel tracker, it reminds me of a word search. The cut out page is one of my favorites, that's so smart. The bookmark tracker is brilliant!! This whole video I was like "📝 write that down, write that down!" I'm definitely stealing the series tracker.
Thank you so much!! I've loved doing a black and gold theme but it was lovely to try something a little different this year! Series trackers are jusg so good and really help hold me accountable. Haha steal away!
(1) A new series started spread where I draw polaroids then draw a symbol of some kind to represent the book. (2) A 'fictional passport' spread, where I draw passport stamps for each fictional city I 'visit' that year. (3) A DNF graveyard spread, which I try not to use (4) A fictional swearing spread, where I list sweara or curses unique to that fictional world (5) A photo frame spread for memorable characters (6) A treasure map spread where the 'places' are items from book covers - a wing, a face, a bird, water, skull etc - and I mark them off like a scavenger hunt as I complete a book with that type of cover Most of my inspiration comes from Facebook reading journal groups, but I don't have a note of who submitted what
I must be really uninformed as I don’t know what some of the things are, like manga, indie books , DNF books. Do you do other things besides reading? I am a slow reader so I’d never get through your goals.
Manga are graphic novels (similar to comic books) from Japan. Indie books are independentlt published, so either self published or not from a major publishing house. And DNF stands for did not finish. I hope that helps. :)
I see you've had the explanations broken down so I won't repeat those. As for the goals, that's perfectly okay! I've always been a fast reader and tend to read around 5 books a month but I also do work, run my own business and play a lot of video games so that number definitely varies!

Love the pocket with the book marker that tracks the page! Going to steal it!!!
It's such a fab idea right!? I'm so glad I found Cassandra's video!
PERFECT! I wish I could start my setup now but my kids are getting me my journal for Christmas. Just subscribed!@@KayBethBookish

There are so many amazing things here! Some have definitely given me some ideas for next time thank you! 😊😊❤️
I love the chaos that is your brain. I also have ADHD :)
The chaos can sometimes be a blessing 😂
I love this, can I please ask what white pen you use to write on the black bits for your goals?
Thank you! In this video I used the Sakura gelly roll but I also use the uniball white gel pen too!
For me, the jury is still out on the whole reading journal vs Sasha case
Sorry I'm not sure what you mean by Sasha case?
Cari can read has a Skillshare class on vlogging (:
It's one on my list- thank you! ❤️
tag yourself! I'm skull snack ghostie
I'm definitely confused/freaking out ghosite 😂😂
