Irish Police (Gardai) searching for the missing torso of a murdered teenager found skeletal remains in a shallow grave.
Officers are confident they belong to the 17-year-old who was brutally killed and his body dismembered in January last year.
Thursday's grim discovery was made halfway down a deep ravine behind the Rathmullen Park housing estate in Drogheda, Co Louth, and only a couple of hundred yards away from the house where the grisly killing occurred.
Forensic and DNA tests will be carried out to confirm they are human remains.
More than 40 officers - including members of the Garda Technical Bureau - were involved in the search.
The area of wasteland includes a series of underground tunnels that run down into the River Boyne.
However, detectives said the remains were buried in a shallow grave about halfway down the hill. They used
sophisticated electronic equipment to find it after being told to search around the specific area following a tip-off.
It is understood the family of the teenager were informed remains had been found yesterday. They were said to be extremely upset but relieved.
The youngster’s severed limbs were dumped by the killers in Coolock and Drumcondra to warn off other rival criminals.
His funeral and burial went ahead even though some body parts were missing.

I'm GUESSING you did them yourself, lol, because when YT did it, it was a MESSY NIGHTMARE! I know it takes them a LONG time to add the CC themselves, even if they hire someone to do it, the chnl owner/creator still has to come out of pocket and PAY them to do it and many will just skip it now which isn't very "inclusive" of Google, as much as they try to put up that front that they are! The body wasn't there then, rumour is it was somewhere else, then when the searches of the estate stopped he was put there . He was meant to be thrown into a garden of another dealer but they bottled it when the heat went on them after the head and legs were found in separate parts of the city . Like the legs they bottled it and threw them out the windown .

You don't know the story, guy wasn't 45 he was hitman in early 30s, kid had done him wrong apparently, set up his brother in law to be shot and killed, then him and his mates attacked the hitman on street, which was straw that broke camels back. Hitman and his crew lured him to house. None the less an awful thing what happened to the poor chap. Hitman is now dead as well. He got what was coming to him.
