    I loved your super serum. I'm saving up for round two! I've not been using any since I ran out, I'm basically using the sample stuff I got through ipsy lol but my skin doesn't look as good as when I still had my MAS. I recommend to everyone here. My skin is dry combo mature with congestion and some acne, and I'm allergic to a lot of products. The MAS moisturizer, face wash and super serum never triggered my allergies and look beautiful. The moisturizer also helped my lips! Try them out if you haven't!

    I am mixing the MAS superserum and the G&G aPAD and my skin is in love with that combination. I dearly wanted to love the Facetheory Lumizela since everyone seems to love it but my skin just could not tolerate it, I got stinging and burning and inflammation from it. I hated the thick texture to boot. I finally gave up after struggling my way through 2.5 bottles - I love the aPAD so much more.

    Azelaic acid has kept my rosacea in remission since June 2021
    It also treats acne so put it under the spf it can prevent the breakouts that some get with spf but azelaic acid with an spf keeps mine at bay. 2:29

    I'll be honest, between alpha arbutrin, azelaic acid, and argeriline, I get confused what I like (at least ascorbic acid I can remember). Too many A's!!! I THINK I've used The Ordinary azelaic acid but I'd have to run to my cabinet to look so I really don't know if I like it or not. Then again, redness isn't one of my biggest concerns.

    What do you think of The Inkey List azelaic acid? I'm on week 6 of using it every morning and for now I'm loving it, but since I've never tried another one I'm curious about how you think it compares to the ones you usually recommend!
    In my experience:
    Zero irritation (started once a week, then added a day each week until I maxed out on mornings)
    AFTER ONLY 4 USES it halved my redness and post-acne inflammation
    Around week 3 I had a big purge because most of my closed comedones came to the surface, but after it cleared I had the best skin I've had in years...
    Acne at about 30% that it was before
    Slightly too mattifying, but nothing a Korean moisturizer and sunscreen can't fix
    No pilling
    I think I'll wait until I've used for a couple more months before evaluating if I should add it in my PM routine as well.
    For reference I'm 32, adult acne, combination and slightly sensitive skin, I cycle between 0.3 retinol and BHA in my PM.
    Thanks for your lovely content as usual and a big hello from Italy!

    I’ve watched your older vids on azelaic acid and you just happened to upload a new one lol! My dermatologist recommended this to me at 15% (i’m in the us) for acne and hyperpigmentation. It does itch when I use it though!! for more than a few seconds it’s for a couple of minutes ( or until I fall asleep lol ) I use squalane oil a few minutes after with a jade roller to help sooth the itchiness. I heard it will subside as my skin gets used to the ingredient. Do you think I should minimize the strength and move back up to the 15% or stick it out?

    • @gategirl66
      @gategirl66 Рік тому

      I'm not Rob, but personally, I'd use the 10% for a while and move up. That's what I did and never had any issues whatsoever. Amazing that it was so easy since I also have rosacea and get irritated easily. I think I used maybe 3 bottles of the 10% before increasing, but maybe try one or two since you already have the 15 🤔 Good luck!

    • @lorainemcgillivray77
      @lorainemcgillivray77 Рік тому +1

      Hi I too started out with the 10%, but I had used the derivative for a while before even going up to 10%. I now use the 15% with no prickling or irritation at all. It really helps my rosacea and also quickly works on any breakout I occasionally get. As a bonus I find it keep my pores looking clearer - for me it has been a game changer. I don't want to be using courses of topical metronidazole and haven't had to go to my doctor for that since using the 15% daily - once a day is enough for my skin though and twice a day wouldn't allow me to use a retinoid or mild BHA etc (my skin won't tolerate multiple actives in the same routine). I hope that helps and I don't think a few weeks of using the 10% will interfere with your treatment plan too much. x

I went on 4 months of terbinafine and the symptoms went from my nails to my skin. I had a dermatologist tell me she did not know what to do. Refused to try a different medication and pretty much told me to leave. I'm tired of the house smelling like vinegar. The last doctor told me it's not contagious. Then why did my son contract it after using my manicure tools.. I just started a new drug. I will go put vicks on my hands right now and glove them. @lorainemcgillivray77 Рік тому +2

      Hi I use mine alternate nights and on the retinal night use the azelaic acid in the morning. Whilst you can use them in the same routine my skin won't tolerate that and I can't use multiple actives together. Both retinoids and azelaic acid can be drying on already dry skin (both were originally formulated to treat oily/acne prone skin) and my skin freaked out when I tried using them in the same routine (having used both separately for ages). You can use azelaic acid with most other actives (if tolerated) and it doesn't need a low ph etc, so it layers fine with most things. Rosacea just means my skin is incredibly reactive and I personally could not layer them. Proceed with caution if you do want to use them at the same time and perhaps a lower percentage would layer better (I use 15% on prescription). I hope that helps.
