Appreciate the demo vids - big reason I got a Scylla. Amazing value & very functional compressor. I got a great "always on" sound within minutes that even tightens up my blendable dirt boxes, allowing me to combine them in ways I couldn't before. Can't recommend the pedal enough to anyone considering it.
@F_bass13 Output nearly max, Input 0, Ratio about 8:1, Attack as short as possible, Release as long as possible, Tone off or up to around 9 o'clock depending on song or mood.
For what it's worth: An update, as I may have been trolled into posting unnecessarily before. YMMV, as with any gear. For the price there is no better compressor I have heard for bass, but results will not be universal based on technique, rig, etc. I've used the Scylla isolated with a single preamp into headphones, at the end of an effects chain (pre and post EQ), and now at the beginning of my chain (after tuner). In the chain I'm also using compression via a Bass Butler at the opposite end. I've gotten worthwhile results in every scenario, even if not right away - all situations required different settings for the best tone to my ears. Still glad to have it a month later.
I would, especially for the price. Very happy to have mine, got a great "always on" sound within a few minutes of fiddling with it. Dude's videos on it are very accurate to the response I'm getting, regardless of differences in gear, and it doesn't over-color your personal sound unless you want it to.
I just sold my Fender DE and got this pedal and the Joyo Double Thruster and I prefer both of them to the Fender pedal, plus I sold the fender pedal for more than I bought the 2x Joyo units!
Interesting, picked up the bass again after playing guitar for a minute and need to make a budget board. Joyo makes good stuff I've been using their delay for years

Anyone using with the R30 Tidal Wave pre?
Good tone 👍❤️
Hi, appreciate your work! Could you make a review of the Compressor: JHS Pulp n Peel v4 Pedal? It is a really "all in one" pedal ^^
Love that sound.. cool 😎
Can you test the Joyo Gloam?
Would you recommend this compressor? Looking to replace my current compressor (Fender Downtown Express) as it adds noise.

No noise added to my signal chain that I can detect, either. Just posting in another reply due to app glitching when I try to edit... Cheers!
@@jxorz6013 Thanks for the info!
Is that better or close to MXR M87 , Cali 76 ?
