A lot of changes since I left Maidstone in 1973 though some parts I still recognise especially at beginning and around the HMP area towards Penenden Heath and the Chiltern Hundreds.
awesome - this bought back some memories I had of livining in and around Maidestone in the 1990's before I emigrated to Australia. I occasionally went to Grove Green Tescos because it was relatively new and never too busy.
Thank you to everybody who gave me/us a chance to see the areas of Maidstone - it's good to know where to buy property next (I am talking about myself as am considering moving from London to somewhere in Kent. Looks like, Maidstone is the right place to settle. Thank you to everybody again for giving a tour :0))))
It's still similar in parts. But now many parts of the area are starting to resemble London. Over crowded and more and more flats. Squeezing in flats and houses in any space they can find.
Yes indeed so too really-alas of course. I live near Dartford and I see now in the town centre anyway that they are building sort of high rise flats and such which I definitely would not buy or live in too for sure! It sort of feels like London too; although of course I guess here is next to London in a way. Maidstone of course is further down in Kent, but you are so right there too for sure of course! Thank you.

Could anyone who knows the area possibly tell me anything relating to the "Minok Engineering Company" of Beaconsfield Road , Tovil, Maidstone. Kent ie.. what they produced, when were they founded and when they ceased trading as a company? I can't seem to find anything whatsoever relating to them online.
I used to travel these roads years ago - when Maidstone only had one bridge!!! It was said that when you talked about maidstone, you had to talk about maidstone as a whole - and a hole it surely was. Seems a bit more "with it" now.
So what's the local perceptions of Ditton / Aylesford in Kent. Ok, or a living hell ? Only I've just sold my basement studio in London and bought a period farm house within a 500 acre estate with the proceeds.......Would really appreciate peoples honest opinion.
its called council housing mate, you know, for people to a roof over their head so they don't have to live on the streets, the tories have sold them all off now
Fancy bit of driving, no one pulled out in front of you, nobody braked checked you, much has happened in 10 years in the UK. I drive on the other side of the road.
What a lovely little video, well done. 👍

A brilliant video with lovely music. Great signage which so many similar vids lack. Well done. I'll give it 10/10.
