Apparently AJ didn’t know who Steve Young was 🤷♂️. If he really is only going to go to the highest bidder like his parents said, I kinda hope BYU doesn’t bite. I don’t want the drama or for all future prospects to demand the same. I’d rather pay 3-5 top 20 prospects (not saying that’s an option, but those seems similarity paid)
@@alextemus I hear what you're saying but you got it wrong. @@bigradwolf5001 the options aren’t “overpay for 1 prospect” or “don’t invest in any players”. I’m skeptical that pushing the limits to pay the most any university would offer for 1 player is risky, and if the bidding war keeps up, I’d like BYU to opt out and try for a few top 10-ish guys instead of what is looking more and more like a reality show. A couple years ago, if a player was found to have received a car, even if it's just $10K worth, from a school, the player will be banned and the team will be suspended and stripped off any wins with said player. There is even a movie about it, Blue Chips. Now, it's ok to pay $7M.
I can see BYU do 3m, but I am not sure about 7-9m. It is not that they don’t have the money, but they can spend on other talented players BYU could really develop into stars for the NBA. They have the staff to do it. Their current team is already looking scary!
BYU does have a great coach with a great background! Don't kid yourself in thinking that he does not have what it takes to improve AJ Dybantsa's game. NBA money is just accessing the BYU connections to a global marketplace for next-level athletes as an athletic G-League of sorts.
There is a huge difference between 2-3 $M & 7-9 $M. My opinion: Your source is way off. BYU has already NOT considered some players who only look for $. Basketball is a TEAM sport and does not contain the letter “I”. Cliche but true. AJ would be well compensated and well coached at BYU but the choice is his to make.
Hey, it’s not my money. If rich boosters want to pony up more power to them. This the new ncaa. If you want to swim with the sharks then be a freakin killer whale.
Two thoughts: one, the only way any school will land AJ is if they outbid the competition. Second, Media in the know at BYU say there are boosters willing to pay the $9 million.
The only thing, if he wants to have sex, he's not gonna come to BYU. And there are extremely few blacks at BYU. Other than that, BYU is a great choice for him. I'm sure his parents would probably want him going to BYU. 🙂
If AJ doesn’t want to come, then no one will??? That’s not logical. We only got a likely top 10 and top 20 draft pick next year to come. That’s not exactly “nobody”
Should BYU offer AJ Dybantsa a lot of money to commit? 👀
Today we brought out the big guns: Fred Warner, Puka Nacua and Steve Young. Lets see if it worked.

BYU’s been quoted they dont pay max, but are competitive with Big 12. Recruits are mostly going for NBA connections, development, etc.
He’s a BYU Cougar
BYU 🎉BYU 🎉BYU 🎉

For 7 to 9 million I would just get me 5 players and pay them $1 to 2 million and make a top 10 team.
Let's get this video to 200 LIKES !!

Yeah, I’d rather pursue a few recruits ranked 10-20 than bet the on AJ

There are lots of unspent money by retirees who died and left said hard-earned money as donations to their schools.
@bigradwolf5001 if it's part of a school endowment then it's not to be used for NIL.
He cut Baylor
He'll do a pity rescheduled visit to the Bears. But yeah, he rescheduled it because of his BYU visit the next weekend.
Not worth 7-9 million. If he is that good, let do a Lebrun and go play pro now.

BYU will pass on AJ if those numbers are correct. Let the other guys pay that much cash.
Lol.... no they won't😂
